Quest for Revenge: Dave Blake vs Juniper

Dave pushed past the pain, still dancing around her to keep giving her a moving target. Not that it was exactly helping him in this scenario.

Another right hook hit him in the jaw, knocking him back a bit. He retaliated by bringing his foot up and slamming it into Juniper's skull.

Most would back up with a foot coming at them for a kick. Juniper leans forward and makes her own attempt to grab onto Dave's leg to trip him up and pushbhim down onto his back if he lost enough balance. "Come on Dave...You gotta have some sort of trick up our sleeve. Even the hero plays dirty once in a while..." She enticed the hero.

"Oh yeah?" Dave grunts, before leaping into the air, bringing his free foot on a collision course with her jaw in an enziguri. If the kick connected, it would make her release him hopefully. She underestimated him, and he could tell. But the more hits she took, the more seriously she started to take the fight.

He had enough balance to stay standing. And not only that...

"GUAH!" Juniper couldn't even back away, as she was holding Dave. She was knocked hard to the ground. She had to fight hard for herself not to be knocked out right there. Which was a first. She lays there with labored breathing.

Dave dived next to her, grunting slightly as he turned her over to lay on her back. Hooking up the leg, Dave went for the pin, hoping that he could pull this off.

"Come on, come on!" he whispered, as the ref was counting.

"ONE!"

Juniper felt her leg being grabbed and her body being rolled up for the pin. "Augh...W-What the?! Get off of me, man! I-I aint done yet!" She begins to struggle and attempt to break free of Dave's grasps.

"TWO!" The referee called.

Dave heard the crowd cheering for him. He could hardly believe he was doing this!

"Told you. I'm not weak!" he grunted at her, keeping the leg up as the ref reached the two count.

When the ref counted to three, the arena erupted in roaring cheers for Dave as he redeemed himself.

"Youre weaker than you realize. I aint top tier yet, just wait until you dac someone up there or face me when Im there."

Dave smiled, reaching down to help her up, still a good sport, but ready to defend himself of she tried anything.

"Looking forward to it." he answered.

She was surprised to see that he was offering a hand to help her up. Of course she took it, and she shook it as well. A pause before she decided to say something. "Hey. Sorry about what I uh, said about you and Jean before. And tell him Im sorry too, alright?"
