SS 15 Falls Count Anywhere: River Styx Vs. Angel

Angel couldn't believe it. She had put everything she had left into that kick, every bit of strength she could draw on, and Styx was still standing. She had taken the kick dead on and the brute was still on her feet, still standing there in front of the Latina.

She stared at Styx, her mouth open, shock on her face. What the hell was this woman made of?! What the fuck was she going to have to do to take her down?! Was she even human?!

The Latina could feel her panic starting to build up. She didn't know what to do, or how to stop Styx, and time was quickly running out for her. She watched as Styx lifted her arm, drawing back a punch, and she shuffled a half step backwards, away from the brute, completely unsure of what to even do.

Thankfully for her though, her instincts took over, and her body began to move on it's own. Angel's leg came up a second time, another superkick thrusting towards Styx, her boot aimed straight for the woman's face. She screamed, a loud, desperate scream, hoping, praying that this would be enough to take Styx out, to finally put the woman down once and for all.

That was it. Styx had taken the absolute best Angel could throw at her, and she was still standing. The little bitch had been so sure that she'd just roll over her and start her little comeback tour in Mexico, all nice and fresh. Fuck that. The look of shock on her face told the story - she knew how screwed she was. Styx was going to lay her out like the little bitch she was, right in the middle of the parking lot, for everyone to-

Styx blinked, there was a loud noise, and suddenly everything went black. She was dimly aware of falling, followed by a hard crash as she landed on the car behind her and slid off the hood, and then...nothing.

The moment that Styx went down, the moment the woman dropped to the concrete, Angel stumbled forward, dropping onto her body at the same time. She rolled her onto her back and slid onto her, pressing down against her, screaming at the referee.

"Count the pin!" She shouted, her voice desperate, cracking with worry and fear that this still wouldn't be enough. "Count the damn pin!"

The referee hurried over, ready to do her job, falling to her knees near the two women. In the arena, the audience watched the jumbotron with bated breath as the referee's hand rose up into the air, quickly slapping the concrete and yelling out the first count.

"One...!" She shouted, and Angel closed her eyes tight, the Latina praying that it would all be over soon.

Styx laid on the floor, unmoving as she started to set an AFW record for the most blood lost in a single fight. She didn't move when Angel rolled her over and laid on her lifeless body, she didn't move when the referee started the count.

"2...!"

She mumbled something, and there was a slight jolt in her body. A simple spasm, as if her body was trying to kick all by itself. But it wasn't happening. She was drained, almost completely out of energy, and even if she'd been fully awake, she couldn't have stopped what came next.

"3...!" The referee threw her hands up and called for the bell, before sagging forward with her hands on her knees, looking she'd been through a match herself. "Thank God, three. I don't get paid enough for this..."

Angel pushed against Styx, pressing down on her, keeping the woman pinned to the floor, though it seemed that she didn't need to waste the energy. Styx was out, she was done for, and Angel was going to pick up the win.

The moment that the referee finished the three-count, the arena exploded, every single person inside leaping to their feet, screaming and cheering in ecstasy and joy and amazement. Their hero had won, Angel had finally taken down Styx, had finally beaten her, and they couldn't have been happier about it.

In the front row, near the ring, Angel's family looked relieved. Her mom and dad gave each other a gentle hug, and her brothers and sisters were on their feet, cheering and screaming even louder then anyone else. As for Angel herself, she rolled off of Styx's body, breathing a long sigh of relief. This nightmare was finally over. She could finally rest.

The referee took Angel's hand as the Latina began to rise up, helping the former champion back up to her feet, and lifted her arm in victory. Angel smiled, a weak, tired smile, and looked directly at the cameraman, letting the camera zoom in on her, getting a good shot, as she enjoyed the quiet celebration.

She wanted to get out of here now. She wanted to rest, and get cleaned up, and that was exactly what she planned on doing.

Get. Up.

Styx was staring up at the ceiling, blinking and barely thinking. It took her a moment to remember where she was, as the pain flooded back into her brain all at once. She remembered every ache and exactly who she had to thank for them. So, where was Angel?

Styx turned her head to the side and saw her, standing there with her arm raised alongside the referee. So happy. So carefree. Like Styx was just an afterthought, like she could just be done with the match and get on with her life. Like it was really that easy.

No chance in hell.

"Fuck you." Styx muttered under her breath as she sat up, hissing along the way. She grabbed  the rim of a metal trashcan, using it for support to get back to her feet, but that wasn't the only thing she had in mind for it. "Fuck you."

Styx summoned up some of the last reserves of her strength, lifted up the garbage can above her head, and charged at Angel from behind, slamming it down right on her back. "Fuck you!"

Styx was completely out of Angel's mind. She had thought that the brute was out of it, and she was busy whispering to the referee, urging her to hurry up and call the medics into the parking lot. The referee did just that, speaking softly into her headset, telling them to hurry up and get down there.

And then, Styx struck.

Angel didn't know what had happened. She barely registered Styx's voice, and barely even realized she had been attacked. The moment the trash can slammed into her back, she simply screamed, and collapsed to the floor at the brute's feet, her body jerking and writhing around, electric pain coursing through her spine.

"Hear me, Angel!" Styx screamed as Angel hit the floor, collapsing as a chorus of boos leaked towards them. "Thought we were done? Huh?" She lifted the trashcan up once more. "We're done when I say we're done! And I-"

"Stop!" The referee stood between Angel and Styx, spreading her arms out to make a human shield. "It's over, the match is done, you-"

Styx gave the referee a punt in the stomach, folding her in half and dropping her to the ground. She looked at the cameraman, just to make sure he wasn't getting any ideas, and he seemed to be smarter than that. Angel was all hers.

Angel reached around, feeling her back, tears of pain leaking from her eyes. Styx wasn't done. Styx was far from done, but Angel was in no shape to fight back against her.

"L...leave her alone..." She groaned up towards Styx, as the referee collapsed near her, exhaustion in her voice but a tired fury in her eyes. She rolled onto her side and looked up at the brute, giving her the meanest sneer she could muster. "T...nng...this is between us, you ape..."

Styx almost didn't recognize the sound of Angel's voice at first. It didn't exactly sound like something human vocal cords should be producing, what with all the pain and agony in it. But, sure enough, the fallen champion still had to run her swollen mouth. Just begging for the pain.

"Yeah, Angel, you're right. It is between you and me." She spat to the side and stumbled back a moment, faltering as her lightheadedness started to get the better of her. She was still hurting all over, but she had enough energy left to finish this the right way. "So let's have a rematch. Right now. A real hardcore match, this time." She lifted the trash can above her head once more and prepared to slam it down on Angel. Ready, aim...
