Blaise Cameron vs. Nathan Weed - For Amy's Sake

It was, without a doubt, the sweetest gesture Amy could've offered. It hit Blaise right in the feels, and he's doing his best to maintain the status bro and not show it.

When she holds the shirt up to admire it, his face draws into a wider smile before modestly diverting his attention to his body, rubbing it down the towel. "Don't mind in the least!," he chirps. "In fact, I'd be flattered." It's like a sure sign of a connection. The towel is brought up to cross his chest to his shoulder, and he slides her a subtle, but enthusiastic look. "Hot, huh? You think so?" She just won't stop hitting all the right buttons. "You think they'd be worried that you're... with me?" An eyebrow arches at her playfully. "I dunno. They might think that. But it might be fun to see the type of girl who'd step up to that kind of challenge."

It's titillating, the prospect of being fought over. Any guy who says otherwise is such a liar. So while Blaise is fairly confident Amy isn't trying to hit on him, he can't help but let his mind play with the notion of a little competition for his sake. It even reflects in a slightly starry, distant look that comes to his face.

Amy laughed. "You're gonna get all kinds. Girls'll fight for the chance to get with a superhero. In fact, I bet if you went back out there right now, you'd get swarmed. Don't know if you're into one-night stands, but if you are, tonight you'd get first pick." Amy watched as Blaise lost himself in fantasy, and she laughed. She put a hand on his arm. "Thanks again, Blaise. This is gonna look real good on me. And if some cutie tries to start shit with me at a restaurant or whatever, I'll gladly point her your way." She winked.

Blaise is snapped back to reality at the touch on his arm, first glancing to her hand, then her face. He's in control enough to meet her gaze again, and he casts her one of his more typical, boyishly playful smiles. "Oh, would'ja? Bonus points if she's a wrestler." Perk. "Or more if she's one of those Wrestle Angels girls."

His spirits have definitely been lifted. He's even laughing at this point - brightly, at that! He glances back to the door, then the blonde again. "Unless you plan on throwing your hat into the ring, yourself, you might wanna wait outside a bit. I'm gonna change."

The smile dims, and Blaise's voice lowers to a softer, more sincere level as he adds, "But... thanks, Amy. I'm glad I got to see you tonight." It put his mind at ease, and put a smile back on his face.

"Alright, Blaise," Amy pulled him close for another quick hug. "I'm glad, too. Thanks again." And not just for the shirt. She stepped backwards and walked toward the exit, backpack in hand. She put a hand on the door and paused. Once she stepped through, her thoughts would return to the dark and brooding place that they'd been trapped in all week, and that wasn't a place she was eager to get back to. But this encounter had perked her up, and she resolved to hold onto that light. She turned one last time, smiled, and walked through into the hallway.
