Kyo Akamatsu vs Kinniku Woman (Revival)

Reika's question caused Kyo to blink in surprise. "Eh?" He found himself breaking into a sweat at the question, though he couldn't quite give an explanation why. "I, um...you...lucky guess," he stammered. "You just...you just remind me of a girl I knew back in high school, that's all. I don't know why I called you Reika, it just...slipped out, I guess." He frowned as he scratched the back of his head. "Is...your name actually Reika as well?"

Seeing how Kyo reacted towards her question as well as him getting all nervous about it made Reika til her head, this was really starting to kinda get to her. As this is something of concern to her. "Yes, my name is Reika. Why did you think I asked this earlier?" She answered, and then brings up her arms and crosses them again under her bust. "Reika Yamomoto, to be specific and to avoid confusion." She further said for clarification, since if she is gonna admit what her name is it would be best to share her full name to make sure.

The name caused Kyo to nearly jump. "Eh?!!" His hearbeat quickened. "R-Reika Yamamoto?" All of a sudden, he  found himself breaking into a sweat as he remembered another girl by that name-- a an exuberant, charismatic and athletic blonde who had always turned heads back at his high school. Kyo always kept his distance from her, since she was several school years higher than him, but....

"I...." He rubbed the back of his head awkwardly. "You might not remember me....Kyosuke Akamatsu, but...I think I was in with you in third-year Math and, um, we met briefly on the school wrestling team team and..." His words were racing out as fast as his thoughts. Reika Yamamoto? Here? In the ring with him? It couldn't be possible.

"Huh?" Once again, Reika's head was tilted along with a raised eyebrow. He knew her from school? She closed her eyes, crossed and arm, and placed a finger on her forehead and began to think for a bit. Despite that the match is long over and they should have left by now, the crowd didn't really care and were glad these 2 wrestlers were being social and not hostile.

As she was brainstorming it was all coming back to her now, but it wasn't highschool and the wrestling club, Kyo was a friend from childhood along with his brother and sister. Reika's eyes shot wide open in surprise with her mouth open with glee as she then shoots an arm around Kyo's neck and pulls him in closer, but not against her breast. "Ahhhh! You're my dear ol' Kyo-chan!" She said loudly as she then gave the boy a light nuggie, to the amusement of the crowd and surprise of the ref-girl next to them. "I completely didn't recognize you at all! You've grown so much since childhood, I wonder how Maki and Toshi-kun grown too."

Thoughts raced at a mile a minute through Kyo's head, especially when he saw a look of recognition dawn on Kinniku's face. Come to think of it, as he looked at Kinniku's face, he began to realize that he did recognize her. Granted, she was a bit older now, and her hair had been a diffierent colour then, but....it was her.

No sooner had he come to this realization, however, when Kinniku suddenly rushed forward and pulled him in a tight squeeze around his neck. "UGGGH!" he gagged as Reika squeezed him, blushing both from the close contact, the lack of air, and the fact that Reika was now giving him a playful nuggie. "I'm...happy....to see you...too, Reika...but....need to....breathe..." he managed to say.

He still couldn't believe it. He had had a slight crush on this girl back in high school and now....she was here, after having thoroughly trounced him in the ring.

"You've gotten better Kyo-chan, but you still cannot defeat me yet!" Reika said during her joyous moment while giving Kyo a good nuggie, wanting to have a little bit more fun with this reunion. Although that cannot really happen right now since they've been in the ring longer then they should have after Kinniku Woman won the match, and usually wrestlers don't or cannot stay this long as it hinders the schedule.

After a few more seconds Reika stops with the nuggie then lets go of Kyo and gives him a good pat on the back. "Anyway, we'd best be going now. We have been out here longer then we should." She started to walk towards the ropes and climbs out of the ring as she says this, walking towards the ramp and going up it with her head turned around to look at Kyo with a wide grin on her face before exiting the arena.

Kyo continued to look dumbfounded as Reika left the area. His face had turned a shade of beet red at this point, possibly from the realization at this point, possibly from the defeat, or possibly because he had just realized how nice his high school crush looked in a wrestling outfit. The latter though caused him to abruptly turn away in fidgeting embarrassment.

Reika Yamamoto? Here? It can't be possible!

A part of him wanted to run after Reika, to ask her where she had been, how life had been treating her since high school....and a whole host of other questions. But when he looked back, he was already gone. He was aware of his rapid hearbeat. He had trained long and hard to discipline himself, to have control over his emotions and his mind...but meeting Reika again, and seeing her smile, had caused all of that iron discipline to melt away. Now he felt just as awkward as he had all those years ago.

Taking a deep breath, he slid under the ropes and walked away. Reika was back, and she was here in AFW. That, he knew, bore a lot to think about....
