Oh, crud, a Kimura lock! Blossom had no idea what that was, but it sounded painful! Wrestling moves named after people were never a good thing!

While there was still something a little off about Jessica's smile, Blossom would be lying if she said she didn't like it a little. Jessica was competitive. Maybe a little too much so, but Blossom preferred that over the opposite. They were enjoying themselves, and when two people are really having fun in a match, great things can happen.

Except this was a spar, not a match. She kept forgetting that.

Jessica was coming her way, slow and steady, and Blossom decided this was the best time to start taking out some of her new tools and seeing how they worked. She backed off and bounded off the ropes for a little momentum and speed, then came running at Jessica with all the speed she could muster. Instead of taking her head on, she ducked down and slid, coming at her with a baseball slide to the ankles. A nice, simple, but effective attack if she could hit it. Blossom couldn't jump high enough for a proper drop kick, but this was a good substitute.

Jessica thought she saw it coming. She had seen a hundred girls bound of the ropes and come in for a clothesline or a dropkick. She sneered as she saw Blossom bounding towards her. Her hands moved forward to grab and throw her opponent, almost instinctively and she let out a "I've got you..." before she could finish the 'now' Blossom slid in with a baseball slide. Jessica made a face like Blossom just stole second on her as she was sent crashing into the mat. Tricky. Damn.

Her face collided with the mat and for a second she was dazed. Her manic smile all but disappeared. She gritted her and got up on her hands and knees, head on a swivel trying to locate and leap on Blossom if she had the chance. Play time was over and this girl was about to pay.

Blossom had to mentally restrain herself from leaping for joy when the baseball slide connected. It was an easy enough move to do, more a matter of timing than anything, but she'd never actually pulled it off in a ring, and certainly never thiought to try it on someone like Jessica. So far, her new skills were paying off, and she just hoped her luck could hold out.

Blossom had a few moves that might work on wearing Jessica down, but most of them required her to be flat and stay flat. Her opponent had great stamina - Blossom was connecting with quite a few moves, sure, bt she needed some lasting damage. The best way to do that was to just keep piling on until something stuck.

She stood up after the baseball slide and got to her feet, getting into position as Jessica started to push back up. After taking a moment to steel herself, Blossom leaped through the air and tried to come down right on top of Jessica with a simple standing senton, using one back to damage another.

Before Jessica even knew what was happening she felt the full force of her opponent come down on her back and laid her flat on the mat. Pain shot through her back first and then through the rest of her body as she hit the ground. Stars floated in and out of her vision. That certainly wasn't good. Jessica did her best to pick herself up but for the moment she was unable to. The pain was too unbearable. She lay face down on the mat and wondered what torment was coming next.

The aching pain in Blossom's back told her that maybe, just maybe, that wasn't the best of ideas. For all the new skills she was trying to learn, she was not, nor would she ever be, a high-flyer. But it worked, as crazy and silly as it was. It worked.

She rolled off Jessica's back and rubbed her own, taking a moment to recover from her own attack. A quick glance at Jessica told her she didn't have the luxury, though, because if there was ever a time when she could get a three count off the bigger girl, it was right now.

Blossom rolled to the side, flipped Jessica over, and laid across her chest, their sweaty chests sliding across each other. "1...!"

The count of one was a muffled noise a hundred yards away, like trying to hear a mouse squeak over the roar of the ocean. Hell, Jessica wasn't even sure if there really was a two, or if that came from inside her own head. What Jessica was very sure of was that Blossom, pipsqueak Blossom, stupid fucking grin Blossom was lying across her chest and trying to count her out. Jessica's swimming head stopped swimming very suddenly and she kicked up, as mush as her weary legs could. For added effect she grabbed two handfuls of Blossom and shoved.

"2...!"

Blossom could almost taste that KitKat bar, rich chocolate covering the silky smooth flavor of victory. Aside from a rather embarrassing win against Jamie Valentine, this would be her first success in the ring. Granted, it wouldn't count on any official record, and the only people who would know about it were her, Jessica, and a few random wrestlers who happened to be working out and paying attention, but a spiritual victory was better than no victory at all.

It wasn't going to happen, though, at least not without some more effort. Blossom had barely opened her mouth for the third count when Jessica grabbed her by the hair and toss her off, sending her rolls away. She tumbled to the ropes and came to a stop on her chest. Not hurt, by dizzied and just a bit annoyed.

She grabbed the ropes and started to pull up, looking Jessica's way the whole time to see what she'd do.

Jessica seethed with rage. Blossom thought she could get away with that? She really thought that was all it took to take her down? Jessica spat and got up. Jessica had taken beatings far worse than that and kicked out. And there Blossom was using the ropes to pull herself up. Weak. Blossom was a little lonely fishy and she was about to feel quite the bite.

Jessica quickly closed the gap between her and her opponent. She grabbed a handful of brown hair and attempted to reach down across her throat once again. If she could secure it she would take two steps forward and hit a bulldog.

Suddenly, Blossom felt like her luck was running out. After all, few things could put a damper on your momentum quicker than getting your face slammed into the floor.

Jessica was on her before she even had a chance to escape, and the next thing Blossom knew, she was getting a very personal introduction to the canvas, courtesy of a nasty bulldog. She let out a little yelp on contact, but other than that, there wasn't a whole lot she could do besides lay there and moan with her face on the mat, writhing around for a few seconds before she slowly started to push up. This was a little setback, but she'd still dominated the match so far, so all she needed was about half a minute to catch her breath and she'd be just fine.

The first thing Jessica felt was a pang as her butt made the mat its acquaintance. The second thing she felt was a feeling of joy, of pride even. If there were a crowd she was sure they would be silent. Jessica knew a crowd pleaser when she saw one and bubbly Blossom here was the practical definition of it. The silence of the imaginary crowd was mimicked by the almost silence in the ring. A room away some denizens of the gym picked heavy things up and put them down with clangs.

"Don't lose focus." she thought. It was her own voice now, not her father's, not anyone else's. Jessica saw that Blossom was close to the ropes and trying to get up. Jessica took a leap and stuck her elbow out. "Let's see you try this on." she thought as she tried to bring her full body weight down on the small of Blossom's back.
