River Styx vs Riyu Kikuchi - Highs and Lows

And now came the running, again. How fun.

River grabbed Riyu's ankle and gave it a hard squeeze, completely driven to just pull down hard and break her thigh across the apron. It probably wouldn't snap anything or even do permanent damage, but it would make it much, much harder to run away, and she was willing to settle for that right now.

Riyu proved to be just a touch more persistent that River anticipated, though, and she paid for the miscalculation with a kick in the face, right on her nose. "God damn it!" She staggered back, grasping her flattened nostril and straightening it out. "Bitch, you are starting to work my last nerves."

Freeing herself, Riyu slid back into the ring and got to her feet, needing to continue her hit and run assault tactics.

Running towards the other side of the ring, she bounced off the ropes and charged back towards the bigger girl on the outside. It was risky, since River could see her coming, but perhaps if she was fast enough, she just might be able to catch River with a dive before she moved out of the way.

Taking the chance, Riyu made to dive through the middle ropes, aiming to suicide dive onto River

River saw Riyu fly threw the air, staying true to her form - she was a high-flyer, a risk-taker, so it only made sense that she would do something so off the wall. It hardly meant it was going to work, though.

She opened her arms as Riyu came flying out and caught her, holding her like a baby in her arms, then dropping her straight down across her knee, slamming her in a harsh backbreaker. "Not smart, little girl. Not smart at all."

"CRAP!"

Riyu yelled aloud as she was caught in River's grasp, having been worried that it would happen, but taking the risk anyway just in case it paid off.

Clearly it didn't, as Riyu found herself getting dropped backfirst onto River's knee, her much smaller body bending backwards over it, her eyes widening as she screamed, held over River's knee still.

"GAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!"

"Quiet."

See, some people got off on the screams, but River could never understand that. Screaming is annoying. River had enough hearing problems as it was without some lime-tinted Japanese bitch wailing in her eardrums. That shit had to stop.

She used one hand to cover Riyu's mouth and clasped the other around the back of her neck, lifting her clean off the ground and letting her dangle. Probably wouldn't hurt too much, but it was a good display of power, and most importantly it made her shut the hell up. "In you go." She dumped Riyu back into the ring like a garbage bag, rolling her under the ropes and following behind.

"MMMFFF!!! MFFFMFMF!"

Riyu's yells were muffled, the wide eyed girl kicking her legs in the air. This is why she didn't like fighting girls so much bigger than her, all they had to do was lift her up and toss her around like a rag.

Forced into the ring, holding her lower back as it ached, Riyu tried to drag herself away from the ropes, trying to get some much needed distance between her and River.

"And more running away. Even if wrestling was fake, I'd have a hard time pretending to be surprised, here." River rolled into the ring after Riyu, stalking her. Step. By step. By step. By step. Give her that dread, that feeling of impending doom, like a noose tightening around her neck. harder and harder. Build suspense.

"Honestly, why do you even bother? How many matches have you even had yet? How many have you won?"

"Crapcrapcrap..."

Riyu muttered to herself as she backed away, River slowly getting closer and closer to her.

"Sh..Shut up! I've won plenty!"

She yelled in response, before changing tactics, running towards River, before dropping and sliding legs first across the mat, trying to smash her body into River's legs and take her down!

"Oh, I'm sure. I could just tell by the thunderous applause when you entered, you're definitely a fan favorite." She practically smothered every word in dripping condescension and sarcasm. "Why, the sound of the fans cheering you on is practically deafening. I can hear them chanting..." She was going to mimic the sound, but paused at the last moment. "Eh. What' s your name, again?"

She looked to the side and got a little carried away with the act - Riyu was small, but the pipsqueak was plenty fast, too, and River was given a harsh reminder of this when she crashed into her with a baseball slide. She fell forward like a chopped tree and landed on her face, stunned for a precious moment. "Fucking cheat shot-"

Riyu was as surprised as River was that her attack actually worked, the green haired one having to roll out of the way to avoid River landing on her.


Having bought herself a bit of time, Riyu rolled to the ring apron, going under the bottom rope before pulling herself up to her feet. She needed a big move to take River down for good, especially with the girl already getting up from being tripped.

Timing herself, Riyu waited for River to get up and start to turn towards her before leaping up onto the top rope, springing off of it and sailing through the air, legs spread, intending to catch her legs around River's neck and flip her back to the mat with a hurricanrana!
