Sarah Gatt vs Cardia Waters (Completed)

The arena was lit up with the Airbourne song, and Sarah Gatt emerged from backstage, sneering gleefully upon arrival. Unsurprisingly she was greeted by boos and hisses from the crowd. After her last match she had already gained a reputation. Not that she cared. She was here to fight, not to impress them. She was here to get even.

Waltzing down the ramp, giving many inapropriate hand gestures to the crowd on the way, she jumped into the ring and went to her corner. From there she would shadow box while she waited for her opponant, unable to wait until she pounded her face in.

Cardia bounded out the backstage cheerier than one would expect after her last torturous experience in the ring. The audience was thrilled to see her, but she expected for all the wrong reasons. All the same, she did a triple handstand backflip down the ramp to show off, not quite sticking her landing, but she waved to the crowd all the same.

Cardia gingerly climbed into the ring and gave her opponent a friendly nod. This time, Cardia had the foresight to learn a bit about her foe, Sarah Gatt. A badass street brawler from whom she could expect no sympathy. Cardia would've extended her hand, but expected it to be rebuffed. Still, she offered, "May the best woman win."

Sarah sniffed disdainfully at the little show her opponant did for the crowd before entering the ring. "Show off," she muttered. Sarah didn't care for such acts other than the will to fight.

She removed her leather coat and draped it over her ring corner, flexing her fingers as she made to meet Cardia in the ring center. When she heard Cardia's response, she smirked darkly.

"Oh, she will," she assured. Then suddenly she would move in, and try to land a quick uppercut to the girl's chin.

Cardia was expecting her foe to make the early charge, but was still caught a little flat footed by Sarah's ferocity. Still, she managed to parry the blow with her hand and a quick lean and tried to offer a counter blow to Sarah's chest with her free hand. Cardia didn't see herself winning a straight fist fight with this girl, but she hoped to hold on long enough to see an opening for a wrestling approach she would be more comfortable in.

At least Sarah didn't taunt her about the outcome of her last match... yet.

Sarah initial shot failed to connect, but when Cardia's retaliatory strike would come she would catch it and hold on tightly, stopping her from going anywhere. Grinning, Sarah would deliver a punch right into Cardia's face.

Ah hell. Thaaaat's... coming right at me, resigned thoughts flew through Cardia's head in an instant. Cardia saw it coming but couldn't do anything to stop it. The blow struck true, giving Sarah an opening.

Sarah smirked cruelly as her punch landed sucessfully into the girl's face. It was the first of many to come, she would make sure of that.

Sarah would let go of Cardia's arm and instead roughly grab her hair, making sure she wouldn't go anywhere. After that, she would deliver a powerful jab into the girl's stomach. Cardia wouldn't even be allowed to fall down with the strong grip Sarah had on her hair.

Cardia yelped as Sarah grabbed her by the hair. The sting brought the world back into focus enough for Cardia to react just in time to grab Sarah's arm as it approached her stomach. It wasn't a good grasp, but she wanted to hold for an instant for Sarah to release her hair and try to whip her toward the corner, if only to shift the momentum back to neutral ground.

Sarah snarled when her punched was stopped. This girl wasn't as big a pushover as she thought. Still, she would have fun breaking her down.

She would blink when Cardia used her arm to whip her into the corner, colliding her back into the ring post. It wasn't too painful, just annoying.

Sarah would stay where she was in the corner, calmly smirking as she watched Cardia. "Well? What are you waiting for?" she asked teasingly, urging the girl on.

Cardia smiled at Sarah's taunt, realizing a bit too late that she got more distance than she thought out of her whip. "I... uh... well, you DO throw a mean punch," Cardia rubbed her jaw, "I was... too woozy? Not thinking... that far ahead?" She grinned sheepishly.

She eyed her foe for a half a second, planning this out in her mind, getting into a ready position to charge her foe. If Sarah didn't make a move first, Cardia would charge at Sarah, only with no intent to actually meet Sarah head on. She would try to slide just to the side of her, hopefully sliding under the ropes, out of the ring, grabbing Sarah by the ankle, and hopefully using the leverage to introduce her face first to the mat, and maybe even nail her against the corner post. It was a positively stupid idea that could have gone wrong any number of ways, but she definitely was not keen on letting Sarah play another round of bongos on her skull.
