They Might Be Giants (for Kerflubble)

That was the good thing about being so tall - low blows were illegal and most opponents couldn't reasonably reach your face for a strike, so you could make a pretty guess where their blows would be aiming at. Sure enough, Rebecca sent her mighty hand flying towards Barda's stomach.

The blow slipped past Barda's weak guard and hit her in the chest, getting a light grunt and knocking Barda back a step - just a step. She started to return the favor with a simple punch herself, when she got the possibly better idea of getting a little crazy - she jumped up and shot her knee out, coming at Barda with a rising strike straight out of MMA. Nothing too fancy, but she was curious to see how it would play out with her size.

Rebecca was expecting the two to just slug it out with heavy punches, the rising knee caught her off guard right in the chest, forcing the amazon to stagger back a significant distance, just trying to regain her balance and not fall backwards.

Barda couldn't believe that worked.

"I can't believe that worked."

It was an amateurish, sloppy move, and Barda was half-surprised she didn't just slip and fall on her butt - but you can't argue with results. It worked, and Rebecca went staggering back, nice and clear for a followup. Deciding to stick with tradition, Barda rushed forward and slammed into the slightly smaller woman with a running clotheslines, trying to put her down, nice and flat.

It was sloppy, but it was effective enough to keep Rebecca off balance long enough for Big Barda's arm to slam across her chest. Knocking the amazon cleanly off her feet "Alright..." she groaned, evidently feeling the effects of the earlier fighting, being squashed against the mat and being choked by Barda's massive arms a lot more than she was willing to let on. She was still awake though, and slowly made her way back to her feet.

Crap, Rebecca was doing a good Undertaker impression, already rising to her feet. Barda was having a good run so far, but she knew that could change in a heartbeat - and she had no interest in learning what Rebecca was like when she had some steam.

As Rebecca rose up, Barda came in from behind and tried to duck her arm and lift her up, putting her in the fireman's carry - a move that Adrian would be quite familiar with. Risky, especially with Rebecca's size, but this fight was really getting her pumped up - she just had to push her luck a little further.
