"Well, this guy looks tougher than the people they fed to me so far," said Lady Phantom inside her locker room as she read her next victim's profile. "What the hell with his attire, though?"

She attached her mask and posed in front of the mirror before walking towards the door. It's about time for her next show, and she's definitely ready for this. The upper guys had been giving her easy victims so far, boys and girls alike, so the masked girl felt like things might start to scale up sooner or later. Well, as long as she got to show how much better she was than her opponent, it's all good.

"As usual, stay alert. Who knows if I might need some assistance tonight," she said before leaving her room.

Her theme would be played out the moment she arrived behind the entrance, and the masked girl would make her way into the arena in her usual skimpy attire. Some of the crowds cheered at her because of the way she handled boys so far, although there's quite a handful of people who booed her because they think she went too far on opponents. Lady Phantom just shrugged the jeers casually and climbed the ring to pose for the audiences, walking around from one turnbuckle to another before she finally settled on her corner. The masked girl crossed her arms as she waited for her would be victim to arrive, smirking as she imagined various way to "play" with the unfortunate sob tonight.

"The square root of 7892 is...88.853812. Times 5, equals 444.1846. Divided by 23...19.34...no, no, 19.3123. Yeah. Yeah."

Dmitri was getting more than a few strange looks as he muttered to himself in the backstage - he was used to it, really. Actually, he was used to having a smoke when he got nervous like this, but his sister was getting on him to quit, so...he was trying to quit. Making an earnest effort. But he still had chronic bouts of nervousness, especially at times like this, so in lieu of cigarettes he was falling back to an old mainstay, something that helped him calm down as a child - math equations. Working them out in his head. Going through the numbers. That's all life was, when you really broke it down - numbers. Mathematics, the language of the universe.

"Okay, so...Ï€^2 is 9.8696004401089, so forth and so on. And...multiplied by seven...69.0872. Square root? Square root is 8.3118. Bingo. That's a bingo."

He had good reason to be nervous - he'd spent years in college, sure, and that prepared him for a lot of things. Not this. Not going out in front of a live audience and fighting a woman in the middle of a ring and making her say 'I Quit' on a microphone. Hell, what could prepare him for that? Five years ago, one year ago, even one month ago, he would never have dreamed being here. Never wanted to be here. All he wanted to do was just get a good job, make some money, move up the ladder...but that hadn't worked. At all. So now he was going to have to use his Tae Kwon Do skills to do what his math skills couldn't. Just a stopgap, for now. Something to keep his head above water...he hoped.

"Square root of 2,809 is 53, square root of 32,761 is 181, square root of-"

And there went his music - upbeat, flavorful, helped calm him down a bit more as he walked out and the lights flashed...then stopped. The audience didn't seem all that impressed and he couldn't blame them - this wasn't exactly a wrestling outfit, but it was the best he had.



Money was tight. Nothing else to say about it.

When he entered the ring and got a good look at his opponent, though, the contrast really smacked him in the head - she looked like...well...it was hard to describe, really. The best he could compare it to was the Rocky Horror Picture Show. He was only a mild wrestling fan, but even he knew that her outfit was a bit beyond the pale.

"If I ever have kids, I'm not telling them about any of this chapter in my life." He muttered and ran a hand through his hair, taking a deep breath as he looked up her way. "Hey - Lady Phantom, right? I'm Dmitri, Dmitri Markov Voranov...um...nice meeting you, I guess? Not really sure what to say, here."

"Oh boy, he really dresses like that," Lady Phantom muttered she watched the arrival of her opponent, mildly amused. "Some kind of a nerd, I bet."

If that wasn't enough, the guy actually babbled in front of her, greeting and all that stuffs. Was this guy thinking that he's in a costume party? She rolled her eyes, but still smiling pleasantly at the lost lamb.

"Nice to meet you too, geek boy~" she faked courtesy before delivering the real jab. "If you're not sure... then why don't you just... shut the fuck up!" barked the masked girl as she attempt to uppercut his chin to knock him off.

Starting before the bell started was part of the show. Her show. She didn't know if this geek boy could actually fight, but why should she take her chance? Her last victim looked like a total weaksauce before she caught Lady Phantom by surprise. If she aimed to be the best heel, then there's no way she should repeat her mistake.

"Geek-boy?" That was a new one. Typically, people called him a 'nerd'. The girl - well, no, 'woman', that was more PC - seemed nice enough on the surface, but he had the aching suspicion that he couldn't tell too much from appearance. "I don't-"

Her blow came hard and fast, and it didn't help that he totally didn't see it coming - again, not a big wrestling fan, only about average, but he could have sworn you weren't supposed to hit your opponent until after the bell. The ref didn't seem to have that big of a problem with it - he'd have to make a note to look out for that sort of thing in the future. If he had a future here, anyway.

He staggered back against the ropes, and - oh, now they ring the bell, of course. Anyway, his chin stung, but it wasn't too bad - despite what a lot of people thought about him on the outside, he wasn't that much of a pushover. Hardly a street fighter, but he could hold his own in spars at his old dojo. No telling how far that would get him here, though. "A suckerpunch? Really?"

"Yes, really," sneered Lady Phantom as she jerked her hand, pretending that she hit him so hard it made her own fist stung, which of course, wasn't true. "You're new at this aren't you? I can tell by just looking... Why don't you leave it to me... and I'll teach you a lesson or two, heh~"

The masked girl would then circle around him, her stance seemed as if she's looking down on her opponent after catching him with the uppercut. Lady Phantom had made her first move, which intended to scare him more than anything. If he's suspecting that she would pay dirty, he might be a little too careful around her. Something she could take advantage on. She wouldn't make any attempt to attack Dmitri, though. Lady Phantom wanted to see his reaction from her provocation to read her opponent first.

"Well, I...yeah." Okay, he didn't have a good comeback for that, mostly because she was 100% correct. He was new at this - he'd took some basic training, could do a few wrestling moves, but nothing fancy. If this had been her first match, she would have more experience than him by virtue of simply being in the ring for a longer amount of time, and it clearly was not her first match.

Still, though - she was a girl. And while he knew there were some girls who were big enough and strong to eat him alive and spit out the bones, she didn't look like one them. Extra emphasis on 'look'. Only one way to find out how deep the water was, though - dive in.

He took a step towards her. closing the distance, and trying to grab her for...well, he wasn't sure what, just yet. Just focused on grabbing her for the time being. Taking one step at a time.

Dmitri made his move, inching himself closer to her, but not really making an attempt to hit her or something for the couple of seconds she gave him. What the hell was wrong with this guy? Did he really come here to fight? Well, Lady Phantom had given him his chance, and if geek boy was too slow to take it, then it's not her fault, wasn't it?

"Too slow!"

The masked girl dashed towards her opponent, trying to get as close as possible to intimidate him before she would try to launch her knee right to his stomach. From there, she's going to grab his head and locked it with a side headlock that would press geek boy's head to the side of her breast.

"Hyaah!"

Slow - that was another new word for him, but he had a hard time denying it fit - by the time he made it towards Phantom Lady - no, wait, Lady Phantom - she was already in his face, and despite the fact that they were almost exactly the same height, he suddenly felt really, really small, like she was somehow looking down on him in more than just a figurative sense.

Before he really had much time to contemplate it, he was taking a knee to his stomach and doubling over, gasping from the blow - she didn't give him a second to recover, either, as her arm circled around his head, trapping him in her surprisingly tight grasp.

She smelled nice, though.

Dmitri struggled in earnest, now, fighting for breath and pushing forward, trying to shove her towards the ropes.

"Here's lesson number one..." Lady Phantom chided as she held Dmitri in the headlock. "Try not to stare too much into your opponent's body, no matter how perfect they are..." she said cockily while slightly shaking him to rub her breast on his cheek. "Oh but you're still a guy... so I guess that might be too hard..."

Especially if his opponent was a perfect beauty like herself, or so she smugly thought to herself. To be fair, though, there's a lot of girls here who dressed themselves in a pretty minimalistic way, to put it politely. A lot of wrestler even intentionally dressed like that to distract their opponent, just like Lady Phantom did.

She could feel him pushing her towards the ropes, but there's a much better way to stop geek boy rather than locking him tighter. The masked girl would use his pushing to drop herself backwards in an attempt to slam Dmitri down to the mat with a DDT. There's no better way to get the lesson stuck other than putting it directly into practice, after all.

Staring? He hadn't been staring! Well, okay, maybe a little - Lady Phantom did look good, there was no denying that, but his buddies - well, 'buddy' - dragged him to the strip club more than a few times. He never got much out of it, but he knew how to handle himself around a beautiful woman without completely losing his mind. He wasn't an idiot, he knew what Tension was and what he'd be up against - and he was ready for it. Or so he thought, anyway.

He kept pushing her back and back and back, banking on putting her into a corner - maybe get her down, lock some kind of submission, end it there? That was probably asking too much out of life - and the point was driven home, hard and hearty, as he was slammed into the mat with a sharp DDT, the impact echoing through his brain.

He fell the side, eyes shut, teeth barred, both hands held up to his skull - that'd bruise. No question. Definitely a lump.
