Proving points

The times had not been kind to Adrian Kytes. Previously a girl who had prided herself on her tenuous undefeated run in the company now at an all time low. Two losses in quick succession, removing the one reason for anyone in management who didn't like her (nearly all of them) to can her ass. The loss at the Pay Per View costing her any chances at future titles and getting her a long cut on her right arm and to top it all off: a knee injury that was only getting worse every time she tried to do something.

She was looking for any reason to put it out of her mind and forget about her worries as best she could as she limped down the hallway, arm covered in a long gauze to cover the whole cut, her knee trapped in a brace and herself hobbling on crutches. Anything would do, and for now, she was going to try and fix her friend's problems before dealing with her own, and that started and ended with a certain idol's actions.

"CHIGUSA!" The cosplayer yelled, slamming her fist against the door to Eclipse's private locker room, not caring at what she was interrupting. "GET DRESSED AND THEN GET YOUR ASS OUT HERE BEFORE I GO IN THERE AND DO THE MUSIC INDUSTRY A HUGE FAVOUR!" She demanded, a focused expression on her face, waiting for the Idol to open the door as she caught her breath back.

Luckily for Adrian she wasn't interrupting anything, and Chigusa was alone. She had only come in to her locker room minutes before to pick up a few things before heading for home, and she was in a pretty good mood. She was bent over her makeup table looking for a very expensive bottle of mascara when Adrian tried to pound in the door, which caused Chigusa to jump up and scatter a whole bunch of stuff onto the floor. The idol sighed after seeing herself make such a mess. But with Adrian yelling at her through the door, she obviously had more pressing concerns.

Chigusa went over and unlocked the door, swinging it open. What greeted her sight wasn't pretty. She knew Adrian had taken a pretty bad beating through her recent matches, but she never thought it was that bad. Bandages on her arm, a busted knee, Chigusa wondered what Adrian could possibly want to drag herself out looking like this when she clearly needed to be in recovery.

"Oh geez Adrian, what the hell are you doing?" Chigusa said, "Come in here and sit down! You should be resting!"

Adrian scowled when Chigusa started to worry about her. Was she really that pityable right now? She was here for vengance! Not sympathy. "I'm fine!" She insisted despite all evidence to the contrary "I've just hit a run of bad luck, and this isn't about me! It's about you and what you did to my friend miss 'high and mighty'." The cosplayer said, pressing one of her crutches close to herself so she could point an accusatory finger at the idol

Chigusa frowned when Adrian seemed to be angry over something that she had no idea about. Heck, the girl was spitting mad and pointing fingers, which really put Chigusa off. The idol put her hands on her hips and narrowed her eyes, cocking her head to the side and glaring at Adrian in a slightly confused and hurt way. She thought they were friends after all, this wasn't something you do to a friend!

"What did I do? And what are you talking about?" she said. She reached up and swatted Adrian's arm down. "Put your arm down and come inside. You look like you're about to fall over." Even if Adrian didn't move, Chigusa would reach out and grab her, throwing her arm over her shoulders and carrying the girl inside the dressing room if she needed to.

"It's about what you did to- Hey!" Adrian was about to explain, annoyed that her accusing finger had been swatted down so easily and that she was pulled into the room without much resistance. What really could she have done? She was hopping to begin with, not the stance to resist being pulled. "Ugh..." She groaned, hopping and spinning out so she was sitting down on the couch, her head rolling back before she snapped back to attention. "You know what you did to Heather." The cosplayer said in a sulking manner.

Chigusa dropped Adrian rather unceremoniously on the couch before heading over to the refridgerator and grabbing a cold bottle of water. She poured herself and Adrian a glass while the cosplayer sulked. She didn't make any comments when Adrian told her what this was all about, instead turning back and setting down the glass of water in front of Adrian before sitting down on the couch beside her. Chigusa calmly took a drink of water. She needed to stay in control and not just explode at Adrian for her stupidity.

"So you're here because of what I did to Heather?" Chigusa said, "She's your friend? You two don't seem like you would get along." She paused for a moment as she considered the best way to put this.

"So I guess you're here to take revenge as well? God, what is wrong with you people?" Chigusa said, shaking her head, "Heels do this kind of stuff literally all the time and nobody bothers them. But when I go and try to put Heather in her place, suddenly everyone has a problem with it! Does everyone really think just because I'm nice they can bully me around?"

"As for Heather, she came by already to seek revenge, or so she said," Chigusa said, "I think she's just a masochist."

"We've been friends for a year now... well, kinda... we haven't been close until more recently but still!" Adrian protested "And I don't do any of that stuff! So it's not every heel. And I don't like it when they did it to my friends either! And I stopped Cecilia getting shaved bald by one as well so I have precedent of calling people out on this kind of stuff!" She said with a hint of pride still in her voice. It was something that she could be proud of, when she was friends with someone she generally could be relied on to have their back from the worst beat-downs. "It's not 'cause your weak or anything... you were kinda kicking our asses back in the last match... it's still out of line to knock someone out twice!"

Then Adrian's cheeks got red all of a sudden, Heather had been in more... erotic matches and losing a lot of them, despite protesting she didn't like it. Maybe what the idol was saying had a grain of truth to them. "S-she did? Oh...well...uh..." she choked out nervously, well now she was in trouble, her main reason for being here dissapearing "...crud... I should... I-I should probably head back to my apartment then..."

"Hm. Well, you're not even the second one who has given me trouble," Chigusa said, "Too many people didn't like what I did to Heather. But whatever, she already did what she was going to do, and I hope she's satisfied with it." Chigusa grimaced a little, as if the memory wasn't all that pleasant. She looked down for a moment at the glass of water in her hand, contemplating for a second, before looking back up at Adrian.

"It's good that you're here though," she said, "I'm sure Heather would be glad to see you fighting for her honor!" She smiled and the rather gloomy aura the idol had instantly dissipated. "It's alright, stay! I mean, you shouldn't be moving around so much. And I haven't seen you in a while, so take a break and let's catch up on things. Starting with this." She gestured at Adrian's condition. "Are you gonna fight Brittany again?"

Adrian's embarresment at her situation didn't completley fade. She had come here all ready to give Chigusa a piece of her mind, crurches or no crutches, and well... "I kinda look like an idiot now..." she admitted before the topic drifted. She hadn't really seen Chigusa all that much and truth be told: was a little nervous about a more casual get-together with the idol. She was famous and probably had a lot more important things to take care of than spending time with the Gaijin who considered 11am to be early in the morning.

"Well I..." she coughed out trying to make her discomfort about the subject as un-subtle as possible. "Probably not, I mean I didn't want to fight her in the first place, she's crazy and surrounded by crazy people. Gotta stay as clear as possible... ya' know." The cosplayer tried to explain, it was pretty much true: despite getting her pride wounded in that match she was in no hurry to step back in the ring with Brittany. Even if her leg was better she wanted nothing to do with her or Morrigan, no matter what her pride said this time survivalism won out. Still, for someone who last heard about Adrian's pride in her unbeaten streak not wanting to avenge a loss must have come off as wierd.

"I guess so, but I wouldn't take this lying down," Chigusa said, "But you're right about now not being a good time. Brittany's surrounded herself with nasty people to be sure, but they'll all eventually brak apart. And then you can get even!" The idol cheerfully said this as if it was something natural to do, and not the grim topic of revenge. "Gotta hand it to Brittany though, she really did a number against you. To beat your ego out of you like this?" Chigusa shook her head, reaching over to pat Adrian on the back of her hand, before gripping her hand tightly. "Get well quickly alright? You're supposed to be fun, not mopey."
