Rainbows and Roses: Dixie Clemets vs Rainbow Mika

Mika, on the other hand, was all but unconscious as she lay against Dixie. She was barely even aware of her positioning, and only dimly aware of the cheering of the fans as background noise. She was just too tired, too exhausted to fight on any longer. At this point, though, that no longer mattered.

"THREE!" The bell rang, signalling Rainbow Mika's victory and the end to this gruelling match. The fans burst into cheers, both at Mika's hard-fought victory and to the conclusion of this epic match. All the while, medics rushed into the ring, rolling the barely-conscious Mika off of Dixie as they checked over both women and applied smelling salts.

Dixie just lied there, her arms and legs outstretched, her chest slowly heaving up and down as Mika slipped off of her. She heard the sound of the final count, of the bell ringing, but it was a dim noise, one that barely registered with her.

Even as the smelling salts were applied to her, she barely moved, only slowly opening her eyes, gazing upwards. Deep in her heart, she knew she had lost, and she hated to admit it to herself. She couldn't even bring herself to look at Mika, instead simply staring upwards towards the bright, shining lights above the ring.

Slowly, Mika's eyes fluttered open as the tang of the smelling salts dragged her back to consciousness. Slowly, she groaned and turned her head, and felt pins and needles ache in her body as she tried to move. Her entire body was a throbbing mass of pain, her head especially, and past the drumming in her skull, her vision and hearing were blurred and muffled.

It took Mika a few seconds to realize that she had won the match-- that, in her last-minute gamble, she had actually managed to turn the tables on Dixie and pin her. As she was helped up to to her feet, Mika wearily let the ref girl raise her arm in victory, before stumbling over to Dixie and extending a hand down towards her. "Great...match, Dixie-san," she managed to say, giving the Texan a weak smile.

Dixie stared upwards towards the lights. After all of her talk and her bravado, she had lost. She had went down before Mika. She had failed.

She sighed, lifting her arm weakly as Mika moved to help her up to her own feet. She forced a smile towards the woman, one that hid her own disappointment in herself as she got back up.

"Yeah...good match, Mika. Good match..."

As Mika helped Dixie up to her feet, the crowd cheered at the exhibition of good sportswomanship being demonstrated by the two wrestlers. After a hard-fought and gruelling match where they had all but knocked each other out, Mika and Dixie were still on visibly good turns with each other.

Unaware of Dixie's disappointment, Mika patted her on the shoulder. "Looks like...we're even now," she said. "We...might need a tiebreaker at...some point."

After Dixie got to her feet, she fell forward, leaning against Mika. She turner her head slowly towards her, her breath warm as she panted slowly.

"Heh...y...you jes' got lucky," she muttered, her eyes fighting to stay open. "Next time we fight, you ain't walkin' out of this ring a winner...heh..."

Mika blushed a little as she felt Dixie's warm breath against her ear. Given how exhausted the Rainbow Warrior was, she found herself leaning a little against the Texan herself.

"We'll...see about that...Dixie..." she replied. "I...look forward to it..."

Dixie blushed as she leaned against Mika.

"Ditto..." she muttered, pushing closer against the woman, almost not even realizing it. "Better be ready for it, girly..."

Mika nodded, even as she felt Dixie press up closer against her. "I...I will be.." she stammered, "you better count on it, Dixie..."

And with that, she stepped back, stumbling a little as she kept her footing, before turning and raising a fist to the crowd. As they cheered, she headed to the edge of the ring and wearily rolled under the ropes, before stumbling towards the arena exit...

Dixie took a moment herself to rest in the ring, taking a few moments to gather her own energy up. Once Mika was out of sight, she slipped out of the ring herself, heading up the ramp with stumbling steps and into the backstage area, heading to her locker room to get some rest and a shower.
