Megumi Mutoh Vs. Heather Sunderland

Megumi began to squeeze Heather, but the girl was struggling pretty hard, pulling down on Megumi's arm while sending an elbow back, hitting Megumi in the ribs. Megumi let out a small grunt of pain, but she wasn't going to let go so easily. She was going to show Heather that she was strong enough to warrant her respect. She was here to prove something after all!

"Yah!" Megumi grunted as she switched positions, attempting to yank Heather down and put her onto her front, with Megumi on her back still choking her.

Feeling her elbow connect with Megumi, Heather had a little wave of relief click in her, thinking that she was going to be able to gradually escape from the girl's headlock. She was going to go for another elbow to the girl, but suddenly, she would feel a force pulling her down onto the mat. "Wh-Gh!!" Heather would let out as she collided with the canvas, letting out a little groan as she felt the girl on her back, taking a few seconds before she realized that Megumi still had that choke hold locked onto her.

"D-d-damn! Let go already!" Heather would let out through her groans as she really started to feel the hold take it's toll. She could feel herself beginning to become lightheaded and she had to slam her fists on the mat to send a jolt through her body to keep it awake. Knowing it was her only option, she would begin clawing at the mat, trying desperately to crawl herself over to the ropes and grab hold of them.

After getting Heather into a position where she couldn't just elbow her anymore, Megumi got into position on Heather's back, laying herself out and using her full weight to hold the girl down while still choking her. Megumi's entire body pressed against Heather's back tightly to make sure the girl didn't just worm out of the hold and slip away, though it also had the side effect of holding them extremely close together. That didn't bother Megumi so much as she was used to it.

Heather was dragging them both over to the ropes slowly though, and since they were fairly close after all that tumbling about she would soon reach them. Megumi kept a careful watch on their positions. As Heather got within range and began reaching for them, Megumi quickly released her. If Heather grabbed the ropes, then legally speaking Megumi had to give her a chance to get up, but if she didn't her conscience would be free to do whatever she wanted.

So Megumi, after releasing Heather, grabbed her by the arm to pull her onto her feet. "There! Still think you're better than me?" Megumi taunted as she attempted to throw Heather backwards into the turnbuckles!

As Heather struggled her hardest to crawl herself and Megumi to the ropes, she could feel how much pressure the girl was putting on the hold, trying to keep her down. Furthermore, she could feel the girl's full body length pressing up tightly against her back. As much as she would want to ignore it, the two soft feelings on her back was causing her to blush very slightly as she went for the ropes.

Moreso what she needed to worry about though was loosing conscious, but lucky for her she was able to make it to the ropes in time and Megumi released the hold. As she pulled her up to her feet, Heather would shake her head a bit, hearing Megumi's words. "Yeah...you're damn right I think I'm better." She would let out before she was tossed into the turnbuckles.

She would go with it, her back hitting the corner as she let out a little grunt. She had to brace herself and regain her bearings as soon as she could, and she was hoping Megumi would, even if not purposely, give her a small window to regroup.

After throwing Heather into the turnbuckles, Megumi took a moment to recover a bit as well. She shook out her arms, which were starting to cramp after putting so much pressure on Heather's neck, and cracked her knuckles. "Good," she said, "That's the spirit!" She took a deep breath, thinking to herself how good it would feel to make Heather admit she was the better one. It didn't slow her down though.

Megumi took a step back, then stepped in quickly. She raised one of her legs and sent out a powerful kick directly at Heather's head! Megumi certainly wasn't playing around, she was being a bit showy now, but she put all her strength and effort into this blow, hoping to knock Heather out!

Heather would click her tongue at Megumi's response to her words. She wanted no less than to shut her up and show her she wasn't going to be a vehicle for her to prove herself. If anything, Heather felt in her head that she was the one that had to prove something in this match. In her mind, she had to solidify the fact that she was technically #1 contender whenever she wanted to be, and that she deserved that distinction.

As she was up against the corner, she would take the small amount of time that Megumi was using to recover herself to take her own breather. She would then however suddenly see Megumi's kick coming straight for her head. Her eyes widening, she would quickly duck underneath the kick, trying to push herself off and tackle Megumi at her other leg, trying to take her down to the mat.

Megumi's kick hit nothing but air as the idol realized she probably took a little too much time for herself. Heather dropped down and tackled her leg, easily knocking the idol over and sending her crashing down onto her butt. "Ah!" Megumi gasped. She couldn't say she was surprised by this counterattack. Heather was a top ranked fighter after all. She just wished she was a little bit more ready.

Megumi twisted a little as she fell to soften the blow. It didn't hit her hard, but she knew if they stayed in this position Heather would soon catch her in a bad position. She quickly tried to roll to the side, towards the center of the ring, trying to get out of the corner and get some more space to work with.

Being able to tackle Megumi down, Heather would quickly shuffle to get the offense on the girl, trying to move up her and pin her down. However, just as she was going to do so, Megumi had rolled to her side, escaping Heather's grasp for now and heading towards the center on the ring.

Heather would grit her teeth a bit, about to slam her fist on the ground in frustration but she would stop herself, taking a breath as she got to her feet. "Just getting lucky is all you're doing. Thats just about to run out" Heather would say before she would charge at her. If she was still on her way getting up, Heather would attempt to hit her with a Shining Wizard maneuver, however if she was already on her feet, she would instead go for a stepladder enziguri.

Megumi was a little slower getting onto her feet than Heather, since she was busy rolling away when Heather was getting back up. She turned to see Heather running at her, too close to dodge the incoming attack. Megumi grit her teeth, quickly raising her arms as Heather jumped up and sent her powerful kick at the side if Megumi's head. The blow rattled Megumi, even though her arm blocked the worst of it, she was sent crashing back down to the mat, her head ringing from that blow.

"Ugh..." Megumi groaned. She shook her head, clearing her vision as she looked for Heather, needing to keep an eye on her to make sure she could protect herself.

Connecting with Megumi, Heather could feel a wave of relief and power come over her as she would land on the ground, quickly adjusting herself and getting back onto her feet. She wanted to bask in her first real connecting of a solid move, but she knew that Megumi had blocked quite a bit of the force of the kick and she had to keep on her as much as she could.

Bracing herself, Heather would back up before running towards Megumi yet again. When she reached her, just a few inches away, she would leap up, attempting to hit her with a running shooting star press maneuver.
