Emily Nelson vs Mistress Isabelle (Completed)

"The Wicked Symphony" by Avantasia played as Emily stepped into the arena, much to the applause and cheers of much of the arena. Emily remained calm and composed on the outside as she strode down the steps, wearing her trademark fuschia one-piece with a laced-together V-cut, but inwardly, she was looking forward to being back in the ring. Though she had had only two matches so far in AFW, they had both been against great opponents-- first against former fellow Wrestle Angel Natasha Han, and then against the "Northern Queen" Cecilia Northman. She'd lost both matches, true, but they'd both been hard-fought losses, and she'd become good friends with both women. If all that came out of the match was a tough, hard-fought battle, then she couldn't ask for anything more. Well, alright, a victory might be nice.

Sliding through the ropes, Emily stood up and raised a fist to acknowledge the crowd. Turning to face the other end of the arena, the Scottish beauty folded her arms as she waited for her next opponent.

After a suspenseful moment of silents, the lights in the arena dimmed. A vignette on the titantron played to display Mistress Isabelle's abilities as well as to intimidate her opponent.

After the vignette ended, the lights went out. Blutengel's "Reich Mir Die Hand" began blaring through the arena before the lights came back on and she came out through the curtains. Wielding a whip in her right hand, she firmly smacked her palm with it while walking down the ramp toward the ring, making eye contact with her opponent while doing so. She slid into the ring under the bottom rope before climbing to her feet in one fluid motion. She was looking to add to her undefeated record of 1-0.

Emily raised an unimpressed eyebrow as her opponent walked in. Obviously, she was going with a whole "menacing dominatrix" theme, but looks meant for nothing until the actual fight started. From a quick appraisal, she looked competent enough though, so Emily intended to be on her guard. Judging by her attitude, she might be a cheating heel.

Slowly, Emily edged forward. "Canna say I'm a of whips, but then y'won't be needin' it anyhow," she said, before extending her hand. "Emily Nelson, pleased t'meet you."

Arrogantly approaching her opponent to reluctantly take her hand in a mutual show of respect, Isabelle grasped Emily's hand and pulled her in close.

"The...pleasure...is all yours, honey."

Releasing the handshake, Isabelle stepped back as the bell rang. Looking to start things off with a tie-up, she began circling the ring, waiting for the right time to step in, assuming her opponent obliges.

"Hope you're ready for a lesson in humility, Emily," she declared.

Definitely a heel, Emily thought distastefully as she got the German's reply. I'd best be on my guard against her-- who knows what nasty tricks she'll try to pull. As the bell rang, Emily circled Isabelle as well, watching her carefully.

After the two circled for a few seconds, Emily would initiate the lockup. At first, the two would tie up, pushing and twisting for supremacy-- and then Emily would suddenly relax her grip, allowing Isabelle to press forward. Hoping to use the German's own momentum against her, Emily would fall back, aiming to flip Isabelle over her onto her back.

Once engaged in the lock-up, Isabelle would attempt to establish her dominance, trying to prove that she was the stronger wrestler. In no way could she have anticipated her opponent's first offensive maneuver.

Isabelle thought she was winning the battle for supremacy when she noticed that she was overpowering her opponent. Unbeknownst to her, however, Emily seemed to have a strategy in place.

Isabelle's momentum carried her forward into a flip. She landed on her back, but she rolled through, climbing to her feet in one fluid motion.

"Nice move, Emily," she smirked, as began the circling process all over. This time, she didn't wait for the lock-up. Instead, she aimed a right foot to Emily's midsection, hoping to catch her off-guard and knock the wind out of her to set her up for more offense.

Hearing Isabelle slam to the mat, Emily rolled up to her feet at the same time as the German, noting how quickly she was getting back to her feet. To her surprise, however, Isabelle moved a lot quicker than she had expected, lashing forwards with a booted heel that connected with Emily's stomach. "UGH!" The Scotswoman was sent staggering back a step, clutching her midsection as she was left slightly winded by the surprise blow.

After the success of her kick, Isabelle made sure to stay on the attack. Unleashing a fury of right and left kicks to each corresponding leg of Emily's, she would look to finish strong with a kick to the back of Emily's head with her right foot, if the complete fury of kicks connected.

Emily was still reeling when another kick slammed against her knee. "AGH!" she cried as the blow sent a spike of pain shooting up her thigh as she collapsed to one knee. Another kick slammed into her other knee, sending her down to both knees now as Isabelle began to clinically take her apart.

Emily, though, wasn't taken out so easily. As Isabelle launched her next kick, Emily moved to catch the German's leg by the ankle. If she managed to do that, then she would suddenly drop down, slamming Isabelle's trapped ankle hard against her shoulder, hopefully giving her opponent a dose of her own medicine.

Unable to successfully execute the full flurry of kicks, Isabelle was surprised when her ankle was caught, even more surprised when it was slammed into Emily's shoulder in a unique reversal.

The counter-attack sent Isabelle crumbling to the mat. Holding her ankle to try and quickly rub out the pain, she reached for the ropes simultaneously looking for assistance in getting to her feet where she could better defend herself.
