Aftermath of Shizuka vs Toshio

Toshio went white at the sight of Shizuka. "Y...you!" he gasped.

"YOU!" Makie shouted, much more forcefully than her brother. She stood up and faced the other girl down. "What the hell are YOU doing here? Is it not enough that you put nee-san in the infirmary and sent him those ugly flowers?"

Makie actually gave Shizuka pause, the intruding girl staring at her likely opponent.

She is his younger sister... just as I am Oneechan's imouto...

But she rallied a second later, smiling poisonously to make up for her brief bout of hesitation.

"Isn't it obvious?" Shizuka replied in a tone both bright and cruel. Her eyes and smile narrowed. "It's not enough. It's never enough. Not for any of you. And especially not for your beloved oniisama," she deliberately taunted Makie despite a tiny twinge inside her that protested otherwise.

"Never enough?" Makie stomped in front of her, eying her angrily. "It IS enough. And you aren't doing any more, otherwise you'll have me to deal with!"

"Makie-chan, wait!" Toshio shouted from his bed, struggling to get up despite the fact that he obviously shouldn't have been doing so. "Don't take her on alone! Get away from--"

At that moment, Kyo suddenly appeared in the doorway. "Makie, Toshio, what happened? I heard you shouting and--" He stopped cold when he noticed Shizuka. His expression darkened. "You," he growled.

Shizuka kept smiling though her brain was on overdrive. He came back so quickly? Not good... I'm outnumbered... them against me- and my sword...

"Me," she affirmed to Toshio. "Just me.

"Get well soon," was addressed to Toshio. "I still have to make you tap out."

She ignored Maki, and made to walk past Kyo as if she didn't see him or care.
