Showdown VII Nekketsu Title Match: "Radical" Edward Sealgair vs "Paragon" Ryan Knight

Edward had this, he had this, he believed in himself, he believed in his training, and he was fully confident that if he just kept up the high risk aerial assault, he'd be able to take Ryan down for the count, and this crossbody was just the thing to get the job done!

...and then Ryan caught him. Just as easy as catching an underhanded ball toss, he simply raised his arms and caught young Edwards body, all the momentum and height doing nothing to help the teen as Ryan's strength proved more than a match to stop him in mid-air, without even budging backwards!

Edwards emerald eyes widened, and he was about to speak...only for a scream to come out instead, as his body was suddenly flipped over...onto Ryan's knee, with such force that the backbreaker nearly broke Edward in two, the flexible youth bending so far in both directions over Ryan's knee that the back of his head nearly touched his foot! He was then tossed off of said knee, landing on the mat and gasping aloud as his body writhed in agony, a sharp burning pain in his back while Ed tried to breath, all the wind knocked out of him by the devastating counter!

Ryan had made a powerful statement there with his grappling attack there against Edward, it was one thing to be able to knock the Paragon down. But it was another to have him stand tall after taking your offence and doing his utmost to retaliate there, it was now as if a switch had been flipped on the body of the Paragon. There was a look in his eye, a gleam that almost looked bright red in the lights of the arena there. Now he could not be bargained with, he could not be reasoned with. He would not feel pity, he'd not feel remorse, or fear.

The sound of the backbreaker would be heard even by those past the front row there, with Ryan tossing Edward off his knee like he was a cloth rag. The Paragon's impressive body would seemingly have steam coming off from it, Britain itself had just stood up, donned a wrestling outfit and addressed this man called Edward directly!

Ryan would then stand up and simply point at Edward, with the crowd going "Yooooou!" in response to it. With the one eyed blonde making to grab Edward by the scruff of the neck and into a standing position, whereupon he'd try to toss him to the ropes with Ryan going at the opposite one. Were he successful in this Ryan would then shoot out his right leg for a big boot for There Can Be Only One!

Edwards back was broken. Maybe not literally but...fuck, maybe literally! The Scottish teen had never been in such pain before, his entire back burning, as hot as if it had been literally set aflame. He couldn't think, he mentally tried to command his body to move, to get up, to recover, and he couldn't. He could barely breath, gasping loudly on the mat, the wind knocked out of him as he tried to recover, hearing the crowd respond to...something that Ryan said, though Edward wasn't paying enough attention to hear it.

Slowly, with effort and great pain, he tried to push himself back up off the mat...only for the job to be done for him, as the taller, much more powerful Paragon suddenly grabbed the young teenager by his neck and hauled him up to his feet, an action that sent another jolt of pain through his back as he was forced upright without being ready for it, and got a glimpse of Ryan's face, the sheer passion and fury and energy on the mans face and in his body...and it was terrifying, Edward, already the smaller opponent by a good margin, feeling even smaller than he was compared to the tall powerhouse that stood dominantly in front of him, having shrugged off his attacks...and the british accent in his voice just made Ed think back, for a brief second, to his scottish ancestors fighting a futile battle for independence...had this been what they felt when confronted with their more powerful opponents?

He was given no more time to think of that, as he was sent towards the ropes with an irish whip, one so strong, that Edward legitimately wasn't sure if his legs responded and ran towards the ropes or if his body had just been hurled toward them with such strength that he cleared the entire ring, his body rebounding off the ropes with force, and before he could think of a counter, a reversal, anything at all, the teen was met with a large british boot, kicking up and smashing right into the center of his face, the young man hearing a sick CRACK as his nose was smashed by the limb, his head rocketing back with such force that the back of his head smacked against the mat before the rest of his body followed, leaving him dazed and helpless as he lay stunned on the mat!

Ryan was now intent on one thing, that was ensuing this match was decided in his favour. The Paragon was wasting no time in taking the fight to Edward now and he knew that one move in his arsenal could surely decide it, There Can Be Only One. The muscled Brit would toss Edward's lighter frame to the ropes and rebound off the opposite one, with speed that belied his stature Ryan shot up his leg and it collided right into Edward's face there.

The Paragon heard the crunch and a slight wince actually appeared on the Paragon's handsome face there. But alas the brutality was necessary, for a title was on the line. After taking a brief moment to pause there and assess the situation Ryan would then rest atop Edward and hook his left leg for a pin attempt. There was the one count, then there was the two.........Then there was the three. The bell rang soundly after that, signalling the end of the bout there.

"Ladies and gentlemen your winner and neewwwwww Nekketsu Champion. Ryyaaannnnnnnnn Knnniiiiighhhhtttttt!" with the announcer yelling at the top of her lungs as his theme song played. The medics were wasting no time in getting in to attend to the downed Edward, Ryan was crouched above him gently resting a hand on his chest as a sign of respect before standing upright and accepting the Nekketsu title around his waist by the ref. The Paragon then saluted with a raised fist in the air, a stoic expression on his face.

This. This was the start of a new chapter for him, he would take this belt and do his utmost to promote it. As was his due.
