The daily routine of the Sovereign Reign’s head Warden had only just begun as she strolled into her spacious office given to her by the authority of the Overseer. It had only been about a week since she received this assignment from the security guild of Tsubar and began the daunting task of revitalizing the Overseer’s fighting arena! The ruler of the realm named Gaia had grown fond of the fighting league created alongside the kingdom and civilization founded on the island of Faedra. While its structure was strong, the league was in need of revitalization of sorts. Most of the previous eras fighters had retired or otherwise grown preoccupied with other duties. Even the previous Warden had served his time and was allowed a plot of land to which they could spend the rest of their days. Bringing along some new blood was deemed necessary by the Overseer, and so Eros was allowed to replace the previous head warden and fix the league as she saw fit. With the Overseer’s permission, supplies were in no short supply! And now the league has received a complete makeover! The building had been filled with the modern comforts of Gaia, an updated security system, and contracts with fighters all over the realms! It had even been Eros’s idea to use prisoners that would otherwise be locked away to rot as fighters in the arena. Cheap labor at its finest!

And now Eros was finally reaping the benefits of her hard work. Everything was building together! She had just received a transfer of low priority prisoners that had safely been locked away in the dungeons of Sovereign Reign, along with a sure fire hit of a monster that she managed to convince the security guild to hand over. Eros had a crew of warden’s reporting to her, as well as a variety of steel and wood golems maintaining security in sensitive areas. While she was never one to boast, she was certain that should the Overseer ever make an appearance then he would be proud of the work put into his beloved arena!

Following her daily routine, Eros would approach the framed parchment given to her by the security guild acknowledging her as a Warden and perform the standard Warden Salute. With her left arm reaching out to the side with her hand remaining flat, and a closed fist over the brim of her hat with her right arm, Eros inhaled and began the Warden’s Motto:

“To give service to the Overseer and his people! To abide by the laws of Tsubar! To ensure safety amongst the people! To be Gaia’s instrument of justice! So long as the Overseer wills it, the Wardens will continue to be the mightiest shield of all of Gaia!”

While it was not standard protocol to go over the motto in the morning, Eros felt a certain security in doing so. It reminded her of where she came from and how far she had come. Most Wardens only ever had to say the motto at their graduations, but there was no harm in saying it to herself every morning when she entered the office.

Settling down at her desk, Eros began the day with settling payment forms and recruitment requests. Bureaucracy was just as important in this job, and it seemed a paper trail was actually something that could save her neck if something were to go wrong. Her superiors at the Security guild were watching her closely, so for now she was following standard procedure down to the letter.

Eros had just finished signing off on the financial reports when somebody had begun to knock on the door. She didn’t have any time to answer it before the person in question opened up and strolled in. Eros already had a reprimand on her tongue for the sudden intruder, but she quickly bit down on such a sour thing once she realized who it was!

“Warden Officer Claudia!”

The elf that stood in her office with long golden hair and pressed uniform was Claudia de Rose, the Head Warden of the Tsubar financial collection facility. Essentially, she was charged with protecting the largest credit facility in the city and a major figure in the Security guild. Eros quickly rose from her desk and snapped the Warden salute, as was custom when meeting a superior. Claudia returned the salute just as briskly.
Spoiler:

“Proficient Sergeant Eros Zuul. I’d heard the guild had instructed you to take charge of this place. A surprise to see everything so...different already.”

“Yes Ma’am. In my opinion one can never be too fast to carry out the Overseer’s will.”

“Have you run into any problems since you’ve started?”

“No Ma’am. Thanks to the support of the guild, I have procured everything I need, and dealt with any issues not involving supplies that arose on my own.”

Claudia simply grunted, crossing her arms as Eros moved to offer her a seat.

“Would you like to sit down?”

“No, I won’t be that long. In fact, I’ve only come here to drop off a package for you. A transfer from the guild to you.”

Eros remained silent, wondering what exactly Claudia might have been referring to. The elf was curt and slightly dismissive, but from Eros’s understanding, that was common in the higher ranks of the guild. The atmosphere of the Security guild heavily respected those with rank, as to obtain such prestige required constant and impressive achievement in their career as a warden. But that didn’t mean they were not ones to push the boring or tedious work onto the many underlings below. Eros had done her fair share of menial grunt work for her superiors. It had taken her years to get this high up in the guilds ranks, and yet it felt like she was about to take on a project she hadn’t planned nor wanted.

“I see...what type of package am I to receive?”

“Are you aware of subject FE-1E5?”

“I’ve heard of the trouble it gives the guild. It’s unique abilities had been of interest when it was first found, but over the years it had failed to fully grasp the guilds ways. Not really a warden, hardly a citizen. A sub-warden.”

The elf grew a heartless smile as she suddenly tossed a pair of keys into Eros’s hands. Judging by the luminescent blue glow that clung to them, they were keys to an enchanted lock usually reserved for prisoners. Eros felt a sinking feeling in the pit of her stomach, knowing full well what was coming next.

“Precisely right, Eros! A sub-warden…Your sub-warden now! The guild has seen fit to bestow upon you the duty of placing Subject FE-1E5 under your supervision until they become a full fledged warden, or the guild decides otherwise.”

Eros clutched the keys in her hand, trying to keep herself from glaring at Claudia and maintain that professional smile she wore at all times. Rather than screaming and throwing the keys back in the elf's face like she wanted to, Eros simply slipped them into her pocket and leaned onto her cane.

“It’s an honor to serve the guild in such a manner. I swear to uphold the Security Guilds values and instill them into FE-1E5 to the best of my ability.”

Claudia smirked before gesturing for Eros to follow, uninterested in the canned response.

“Come on. It’s time you meet your new right hand. I have it waiting in its straight jacket out in the prisoner transfer area.”

SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma. Empty Re: SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma.

Post by Chaos Wed Feb 10, 2021 8:33 pm

The day had just begun and the sub-warden was already full of energy, very much like a kid full of energy in the morning, as she prepared herself in her room quickly. It was a small apartment that had been given to her by the security guild which was close to the guild in case anything happened due to her causing problems. But soon that wouldn't be their problem, as they probably felt they didn't want to take care of her all the time as it seemed she failed every time to become fully a warden. Never taking anything seriously enough and joking around, pranking the people in the guild. Wouldn't be surprising if they simply tried to get rid of her at the first opportunity at hand, especially when it seems that she has no interest to follow their desires or morals.

But if it wasn't for the Guild, who knew what would’ve happened. They offered food and shelter when she arrived, a home. And she was grateful, but due to her personality, she didn’t exactly acknowledge that and only did what she wanted, creating confusion among the guild. If not for her troubled past then perhaps, she could’ve become a warden, but for now it was only a work in progress.

She quickly was greeted by a knock of her door, which Felis quickly answered. It was Officer Claudia de Rose that came to pick her up, to take her to the new place. At first she was only okay with going, but with her interest quickly being piqued with the offering of chocolates, the neko found herself almost instantly by the transport that would take her to the new place of work, by using her Warp gates to get there. The transport was identical to one of transport of prisoners and was being guarded by some guards, which at first gave the idea that they were transporting a prisoner. However it was empty, she left Felis confused.

Warden Officer Claudia quickly explained that the truck was their transport to get to the place and that Felis was their “prisoner”. To trick her, they explained it like it was a type of game, which interested Felis and her child-like demeanor, and to make it feel more “real” they put her on a straight jacket like an actual prisoner to make sure she wouldn’t try anything funny and use her powers to make the trip more complicated than it is.

Upon reaching there, Officer Claudia left to talk to the one in charge, leaving her alone with the other guards. But when they were distracted she quickly slipped by and went to explore the prison by herself. Passing by a lot of cells, each with sturdy steel bars keeping a different amount of creatures also restrained behind them. She continued until finding a pair of individuals in front of her.

“Oh, Claudia. I really had to check this place out, I couldn’t stand out there waiting and be bored with many things here!”

SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma. Empty Re: SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma.

Post by Tarantulust Thu Feb 11, 2021 2:31 am

Eros followed her superior through her own facility, silently stewing in her thoughts as Claudia walked around with that smug smile on her face. The entire time, the head Warden of the Financial Collection facility looked at the Sovereign Reign Wrestling facility like it was a beginners program. Perhaps in comparison, it was. The financial Collection Facility was granted much higher grade supplies and security staff due to the clear overarching threat to its demise. It was a staple of Tsubar, and while the Sovereign Reign facility was growing in popularity, it was still a business under revival. Despite having some of the deadliest and most notorious criminals and beasts locked away in the dungeons deep inside the facility, Eros knew that if her staff and Claudia’s were placed in a battlefield, Eros’s forces would be wiped out in a matter of hours. Knowing that didn’t make it any easier, watching Claudia smirk at the rock Golems guarding the prisoner transport area like they were simply toys despite standing three times her size.

What I wouldn’t do for a mythril Golem to wipe that smirk off your face!

As the two Wardens stepped inside the long, dark labyrinth of the Dungeon, Claudia seemed to take her time sightseeing all of the various prisoners locked in Eros’s vault.

“Ah, the Fiery Red Minotaur from the South of Tsubar’s fields! The Sand Raptor of the Gaia’s driest desert! And you even have the Naughty Slime of Tendril. A decent collection you’ve got going for yourself Eros. A part of me would think FE-1E5 Would fit in well behind these doors...if you could keep them there~”

As a precaution, Eros gestured towards a different pair of Rock Golems patrolling the Labyrinth's halls, having them follow the two of them. If Claudia asked, Eros would have said it was to show proper respect for her guest. But really it was to keep Claudia from complaining.

“I simply do my duty as Warden. It’s thanks to my hardworking staff that we have been able to maintain a clean record of no escapes and no transport incidents.”

“Well, not yet.”

Thankfully, before Eros could respond, something would suddenly appear ahead of them. Both the Elf and the Bakeneko had excellent night vision, and were able to spy what looked to be a girl tied up in a cloth straight jacket. From what Eros could see, this girl had white, shaggy looking hair, and bright red eyes. The legs this creature ran on looked prosthetic, but moved as though they were as natural as any other limb. A curious observation, one that almost distracted Eros from the creature’s tail and ears. Was this another Feline?

It called out to Claudia, running up to the superior like a child running to its parent at a daycare. The two Golems began to react defensively, but Eros gestured for them to standby. Both of the giants stood behind her, on either side of the Bakeneko.

“Failure to address your superior with a Salute or appropriate rank is a punishable offense, FE-1E5. You could at least try to remember the basics of Warden conduct. It’s Warden Officer Claudia.”

Judging by the tone, this wasn’t the first time the two of them have had this exact conversation. Eros could see just from a glance that this new being was probably a handful if it was stressing out the head Warden of the Financial Collection Facility. Claudia continued to rant at the newcomer for another few minutes before finally deciding to wash her hands of the whole thing and introduce Eros.

“FE-1E5, this is the head Warden of the facility, Proficient Sergeant Eros Zuul. From here on, you will report to her directly as the vice warden of the Facility.”

Claudia cast a glance over towards Eros, prompting her to move up and introduce herself to the fellow feline. The Bakeneko had no real idea what she was supposed to say, since not even Claudia treated the woman like a person. She couldn’t even introduce herself, since Claudia had robbed her of the opportunity.

Erm… Welcome to the Sovereign Reign Wrestling Facility.”

Claudia looked at Eros as if she expected the Warden to say more, but since Eros had been robbed of her introduction and only learned of this assignment roughly five minutes ago, she didn’t have much of a speech planned out.

“Are there any questions you have before you’re transferred to Warden Eros?”  She said in a flat tone, not even looking at Felis.

Felis was very entertained by watching all of those creatures together, a big diversity between them, all of them being different from each other. It almost seems it was an exhibition from a museum. It was the first time she saw something like that, but attention quickly shifted towards the pair as she charged at them only to be scolded like a child, which she arguably was. The neko stared at her eyes, like she was paying attention but in reality she had lost focus and stopped hearing what she had to say when Claudia began with how she wasn’t following the norms, her head slowly turning to her left as she used her eyes to distract herself from that bore.

Only breaking free from spacing out, when suddenly a new voice came in, throwing her completely off as her head quickly turned towards Eros, interested to know who she was and how she acted so decided to hear her out. Seeing it was a simple and quick phrase she heard it all, her cat ears rising due to excitement figuring out that she probably wouldn’t bore her as much as Claudia does. She also found her appearance also being close to hers quite nice and friendly.

She seems nice… Maybe we can be friends.

She seemed to swing her waist forward and backwards in the same, excited by that founding. Hearing that Claudia was giving her the go to speak, almost like an explosion, fierce, instantaneous and out of nowhere, she stormed the bakeneko with questions.

“Will I be working with you or something? Can you release me now? Do you want to play? What’s your favorite type of game? Can we be friends?!”

With each question she got more excited as she could uncomfortably closer to her, wanting to hear her questions clearly, as she fixed her eyes with her owns, almost sparkingling with joy.

When Claudia had asked FE-1E5 if they had any questions, she probably meant about the transfer. The protocol of this new facility, what exactly they did here, where her new quarters would be and how she could be of service. But that was not the questions that were asked. In fact, Eros could already get an idea of just how childish this newest recruit was by what she did end up asking not one second after being let off the leash. Even her questions betrayed the fact that she wasn’t even listening to Claudia speaking just a few moments prior. Claudia didn’t seem to mind, probably happy she was finally rid of the problem child. Eros found the newest Vice Warden running up to her, still tied up in a straight jacket and asking questions like a child in a daycare. Whatever protocol the security guild tried to implement in her clearly didn’t stick, if it was ever in that perfectly innocent mind to begin with.

Deciding to treat FE-1E5 as something akin to a Warden’s child rather than a Warden to be, she closed her eyes and waited for the questions to come to a stop, or at least slow down enough to understand them. She had read that this sort of treatment helps subconsciously teach children that they won’t be rewarded with an answer if they keep talking. Eros remained composed, but was resisting the urge to back away from the sheer energy this person had. With her eyes closed, it felt like it took FE-1E5 some time to figure it out.

When they finally stopped, Eros’s yellow eyes flashed open and she gave the fellow feline a wide, smirking smile!

“Now then, It’s a pleasure to meet you, Ms. FE-1E5~ My name is Eros Zuul, and to answer our questions, Yes! You will be working for me directly~ You and I are going to become very close from now on!”

The Bakeneko’s ears twitched in a curious manner, trying to play off her fellow feline’s boundless curiosity. Her tail swished from side to side, the tip curled in curiosity.

“Now, as for that name. FE-1E5 Doesn’t really roll off the tongue too well, or encourage people to refer to you...Do you have something else you prefer to be called by?”

Like an adult trying to get into a child’s good graces, they gave them the illusion of power. Eros truthfully didn’t like the long winded serial number, and decided to try and give the straight jacket woman some freedom without setting her free just yet. A test of sorts, to see her cognitive ability and how she might think for herself.

SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma. Empty Re: SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma.

Without wasting a second, she stormed the warden with questions. She was clearly interested in the individual and the place. At first she didn’t notice, but started to slow down confused once the neko saw Eros with her eyes closed and the expression of someone who was trying to concentrate. She tilted her head to the side perplexed, trying to understand what was going, until suddenly she started talking back, startling Felis to the point of her backing away slightly. But returned back to her energetic stage knowing she answered her questions rather quickly, while the whole formal way of speaking annoyed her slightly, at least now the neko gained the information that her name was Eros Zuul and that she would be her new partner, or that Felis would be HER Partner, but she didn’t really care about the details and was really excited that they “would become very close!” which sent her mind directly to “being friends” which was something she was looking for since no one on the guild was really friends with her.

However upon hearing her last question, her face became blank for a few seconds. She did remember very well being called FE-1E5 a lot of times, but when it came down to her name the neko didn’t hear it in years or perhaps she never heard it before. She stayed static for sometime murmuring to herself “My… name?” as she didn’t know exactly what to answer. Maybe it was one she was thinking of, but she was never really sure. Probably it was behind those repressed memories but she didn’t want to ever think of them again, which was the whole point of her childish demeanor, a traumatic reaction to all that. However she couldn’t help but remember them slightly as shake in fear thinking of them for even a split second.

Nevertheless she quickly returned to her energetic state with a smile, however it was hard to even comprehend whether it was fake or not after all that.

“Oh, silly. It’s Felis Bastes Kaosu! I don’t know why you were always calling me ‘FE-1E5’... I mean would you like it if I called you ‘ER-05’ or something? Baka~Meow!”

Noticing her ears and her tails twitch, she couldn’t help herself and freak out, doing small jumps of joy at how cute that was and that she was curious to meet Felis, her new friend. At least that’s what she thought…

“Oh, that’s so cute! We’ll be best friends~Nyan!”

For that whole moment she had completely forgotten about Claudia right beside them, as if she had become part of the background and only focused on Eros. Not that Felis disliked Claudia, just found her formal way of speaking a bit annoying her and the fact she usually didn’t play along with her a bit annoying. But nonetheless, this could be the last time seeing her perhaps, and that idea was a bit saddening. So she wanted to at least have a chance of “properly saying goodbye” which ends up angering all of the people she does that to. But for Felis this was an harmless act and a way for them to remember her, of course not the way she thinks.

She leaned her head forwards to try to speak to Eros. "Could you please free me? I would like to say play with Claudia one last time..."

Well, it seemed Felis took the kindness bit hook, line, and sinker! Like a kitten, she moved about excitedly, apparently excited to learn more about her fellow feline officer that stood before her in the purple suit and hat. Eros continued to smile, as though she were charmed by the energy that Felis gave off. The Bakeneko didn’t miss that strange look on Felis’s face when she asked for her name, but Eros didn’t worry about it all that much just yet. No, she found it a bit more curious that the subject already had a given name, but as far as Eros could remember, the subject had always been classified by its serial number. A curiosity that, when Eros glanced over to Claudia to try and get an explanation, she found the elf simply shrugging in response, as if to say she didn’t know either.

Perhaps this is just one of its games. I’ll play along for a bit and see what shakes loose.

“Felis eh? Well, I can see the charm in a name like that. Alright, we’ll use that name from now on. If we have failed to call you by your proper name, then I apologize for our negligence for all this time calling you by your serial number.”

As strange as Felis was, her request was even stranger. Claudia seemed relieved to find herself free of Felis, and while it couldn’t be said that the Elf despised the cat girl, it was clear they both gave each other some serious headaches. She wanted to finish this transaction and be done, Claudia’s training falling on deaf ears with Felis and ultimately wasting her time. Eros seemed hesitant to let someone tied up in a straight jacket free even to say goodbye to their previous superior officer. Actually, that sounded worse upon reflection.

“Actually, I think Claudia is rather busy. Maybe we should-”

Claudia interrupted the Bakeneko with a loud sigh, “Oh just hurry up and let's get it over with! Don’t mess up my hair, FE-1E5 I have a meeting to get to after this.”

Claudia faced Felis head on, and with a nod from her superior, Eros shrugged and began unlatching the restraining jacket. The Golems behind Eros seemed prepared to interfere should any issues come from their interaction, but otherwise stood behind Eros and waited for any additional orders.

Eros did get a chance to notice the clothes Felis wore underneath the jacket. She wasn’t surprised to find a unique design in her clothes. The stitching and the buttons were all unique in a strange way. Of course, Eros wasn’t much into the fashion beyond the Warden’s official attire. All this was taken in as Eros took a step back to give Felis room to say her goodbye to Claudia.

SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma. Empty Re: SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma.

It was known that their relationship wasn't exactly… the best. Felis always messes around on the training not taking it around playing games and pranking people, while Claudia always bosses her around and destroys her pranks and her fun, so it could be obvious that they dislike each other. But never was thought to the point of Claudia dispatching her to somewhere else due to do this, maybe it was better to not underestimate her. Actually the thought never passed through her head, until she was told about it the week prior and she was quite happy about it and when finally got to it… The feeling was weird. Perhaps she might miss her…

Maybe just a bit…

As she got out of the straight jacket she started stretching her arms out, to force them to a straight form. After that, she slowly stared down Claudia, before switching her attention to Eros.

“Thanks for releasing me~nyan. And Now…”

Felis faced the elf again before quickly stretching her arm out, a small warp gate appearing in front of it and another near Eros as the arm came shooting out and in what seemed in a grabbing motion, while with the other she snapped her fingers. Everything immediately came to a halt as she grabbed the straight jacket and ripped it from Eros’ grasp and dashed at the Warden Officer closing-in the distance in almost under a second. Upon reaching her, she didn’t waste a second and started to put the straight jacket on her and latch it, but before doing fully she placed herself between Claudia and her restrained arms to sorta force hug her while the Neko hugged back with such joy and shaking while doing it. And then time resumed…

“I will miss your stupid face… Also your annoying voice and how you tried to boss me around…”

She continued the hug as the shaking started to calm down until it stopped. The hug continued, a silence falling over the room before a sigh was let out.

“Oh well… It was good while it lasted.”

Felis snapped again as time froze again. She only continued the hug while waiting for the cooldown on the Time-Stop to end. Quickly slipping  out of her grasp, The Sub-Warden finished latching the jacket and with the remaining time, pulled down her pants, robbed her hat, put it on and quickly returned to the Bakeneko’s side, trying to hold the laugh in as time resumed.

However she eventually broke down laughing sterically and pointing towards her, almost crying. She leaned towards Eros and put her hand near her mouth to stimulate like she was whispering to her. “Wait until she finds out that I tied her shoe-laces together!”

SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma. Empty Re: SRW: The Warden meets an Enigma.

Post by Tarantulust Wed Mar 03, 2021 8:49 am

It’s true that Claudia didn’t have a very strong opinion of FE-1E5. The truth was, she had given up on her quite some time ago. She had spent hours, months, years of her time trying to drill even the very basics of the Warden code into that thick head of hers, but the subject seemed to stubbornly refuse to learn or pay attention to any of it! An Elf’s lifespan was a long one, and Claudia was actually a bit on the younger side of her long life, but the time she had spent trying to help FE-1E5 was easily some of the most painful, unbearable drags she ever had to slog through. To top it all off, the subject had a penchant for pranks! She had become more trouble then she was even marginally worth, and were it not for the Security Guilds desire to maintain her, Claudia probably would have just let the subject off the hook in the middle of the jungle and let her find a living out there. But no, apparently she was just too valuable for that.

So, knowing FE-1E5 better than anyone, she knew the little creep was planning something. Fine, as soon as it was over she could leave. The financial district Warden waited for her little scheme, knowing full well what would probably happen. The subject came to her, wanting a hug. Claudia sighed and opened her arms, the two gently hugging, but in a manner that had no real warmth. The subject said somethings about how annoying Claudia was, and that her face was stupid. This brat was annoyingly immature, but Claudia resisted the urge to strike her!

Actually...she couldn't strike her! Claudia couldn’t even move her arms! She had suddenly found herself restrained by the straight jacket that held the subject in place, with FE-1E5 running away with her Warden cap. Claudia’s face immediately grew red, her pointed ears shifting downward in a defensive gesture as she finally let loose on the girl that had done nothing for her but make trouble and cause damage!

“That’s it! You know what FE-1E5? I’m glad to be rid of you! I’m tired of spending every waking hour of my day wondering if you screwed something up by pranking the wrong person, or breaking a vital piece of equipment! I’m tired of teaching you, reminding you, and then having to teach you the basics of the Warden’s guild because you don’t pay attention! And I’m most certainly tired of working hard to train you just so you can forget it all the next day like it never happened!”

The Golems moved to retrain Felis, but Eros instead gestured towards Claudia. The guards seemed to understand their master, moving instead to help the superior Warden with her restraints as Eros took the cap off of Felis’s head. Suddenly, that friendly, smiling cat grin was gone. Eros’s burning yellow eyes instead solely focused on Felis as she tapped on the brim of Claudia’s hat, eyeing the strange woman with a now critical eye. When Felis leaned in and told the Warden about how she had tied Claudia’s shoes together, the Bakeneko simply nodded.

“I know...I watched you do it.”

Eros had seen the entire thing. This woman had somehow managed to freeze everyone in place in a manner that seemed akin to stopping time. Eros had thought it was strange at first, like everyone had been frozen and Felis had suddenly grown bold, but then time resumed, and everyone acted as if they didn’t notice what she was doing. It wasn’t hard to put the dots together and learn that Felis had an unnatural ability even in the realms of Gaia. Suddenly, the Security Guild’s desire to keep track of this woman made a lot more sense.

But why was Eros immune?

The closest she could come up with for an answer was simple: because she was a Bakeneko. A special type of Yokai, a “spirit” in a sense. Perhaps due to her classification as a spirit, earthly rules didn’t apply, such as time manipulation. To make the explanation simple, she may as well have been akin to a smudge on a screen playing a movie. No matter if the movie is paused, sped up, or rewound, the smudge would still be there.

Whatever the reason, Eros watched Felis carefully as the guards tore the Straight Jacket off Claudia.

“You have time manipulation powers...interesting. How long have you been using them, Felis?”

Felis had a really weird way of saying goodbye, for sure as it can be seen to what happened to Claudia. The Neko eventually went for a hug and somewhat forced the elf to hug her back even though she was going to do it regardless.  She still hugged her normally even if it was for a few seconds showing she actually wanted to hug her, but not knowing Claudia’s intentions, she forced her to give the intention she wanted, before ultimately finishing the prank on her. For someone who doesn’t really doesn’t know how to show love it seemed quite the weird approach, only to show that Felis didn’t quite trust Claudia even if knowing her for sometime now. However the prank was a way for her to implant such a weird and rememberful chain of events that one could easily remember them and also remember the culprit. Therefore make them remember her.

This seemed just a random action with no thought behind it, but for someone who was never really shown love and only known pain from the experiments done to her to which caused the childish personality with also the automatic shutter of past memories due to the trauma, and the neglect from the security only wanting to make her a warden due to her abilities and not even taking time to acknowledge her name or even try to come-up with one.

Felis was seriously surprised to find that someone could bypass her time-stopping ability. She wouldn’t even know what it was if it wasn’t for the fact that she used it before and having some small memories of the abilities, which for her they were always there. But it was interesting that someone was immune to it like they were some kind of super powerful being or maybe they also had it and therefore were immune to it at least that was some of the thoughts that were passing through her head.

“You saw…? Wow. You’re amazing! Normally nobody does, nor move… I guess that’s what “Time-Stopping” is. A bit boring, but is incredibly good for pranks.”

Felis smiled with her naive nature while Eros was with a puzzled look. For the Sub-Warden, she only looked like a normal neko like herself who probably also had those crazy abilities like herself and didn’t she was a ghost that barely had any attachment to the world or the fundamentals of reality like time and space. A rather interesting person also indeed…

When asked about the usage of how often she used this ability, placing her hand on her chin she started to think about it.

“Oh! I know! I could since I remember really… which is like until a few weeks ago, when I joined the guild and as far I remember… I don’t remember much before that anyways, but eh who cares… Do you also have super powers?!”

Felis got closer to Eros grabbing her hands and pulling them up and placing them near in between their faces in like a friendly grip, astonished by Eros simply existing.
