The Olympians vs the Blazing Novas: A Double Debut

Daphne nodded sympathetically as Julie talked about getting kicked out of an independent league for being too young. As the blonde began to buck and push, the redhead let her go, shaking her head with a smile.

"Yep. Our family did things a little differently, though. You might've been discouraged from fighting that young, but it was required of us." Daphne gave a small smile as she held out her hand, wanting to help her opponent to her feet.

"It was rough having our parents treat us as employees as much as children, but heck. That's the way it goes." If Julie accepted Daphne's assistance, the redhead would help her up and back away a bit before coming back in with an attempt at a European Uppercut, wanting to slam her forearm into her opponent's chin.

Julie wasn’t a woman of many words. She liked having some respect for her rivals since she was a fighter and not an animal, but she wasn’t one to engage in wholesome conversation while in the middle of a fight. On that case, though, it felt almost natural to chat with that Greek lady. What at first would seem a really different person had similar obstacles to surpass, with some kind of different touches here and there. The blonde Nova felt some kind of camaraderie coming from Nike.

That didn’t mean any of them would hold their punches. Both wrestlers were going at it full force, and Nike was a proficient fighter. At some point she reached her hand to help Julie up and the blonde accepted, but she wasn’t expecting to be welcomed by an european uppercut. The strength of the impact against her chin made Julie lose some of her footing and stumble a couple of steps before trying retaliation in the form of a sidekick to her stomach.

Daphne grinned, excited as she managed to pull off her European uppercut. She tried to press in and continue her offensive, but Julie kicked her in the side and knocked her off-course. She clenched her teeth as she dropped to one knee and ran a hand through her hair before standing up and smiling.

"Not bad! But you're gonna have to do worse than that, ya get me?" She chuckled and went for a high kick to the side of her opponent's head.

Julie couldn’t help but think that this was a really weird combat. The blonde Nova was a woman of few words but for some reason she couldn’t point both wrestlers were fighting and chatting as this was some kind of training session, as if the intense combat they were having was just something light. Both of them were throwing their best attacks in order to get through the rival’s defense, and even with that they took some time to get closer to each other throug some chat and even quipping.

But no matter what they were exchanging heavy blows. Both Julie and Nike were proficient strikers and the hits they were throwing wanted to soften their rival for the next stages of the match. Julie smiled to herself when her kick made Nike bend and go on one knee, but the Greek woman showed her resolve when she quickly recovered to hit the blonde with a powerful kick to the side of her hear. For some instants after the impact Julie felt like everything was upside down, her balance heavily affected as she fell on her side on the mat. With her hand she would go caress the side of her head in order to get rid of that pain while trying to roll over far from Nike’s reach. In the corner, Diane would yell at her friend trying to get her spirit up.

Daphne was quite satisfied with how the match was going so far. Sure, she hadn’t gotten the advantage yet, but neither had her opponent. And they were having a lovely conversation, to boot!

After the redhead’s kick landed, she saw Julie crumple to the canvas, and let out a little celebratory whoop even as she heard her opponent’s partner calling for her to get up. She walked over to Julie and hooked her arms underneath her opponent’s, trying to help the woman get to her feet.

It had been a wise decision coming from Diane to ask Julie to start the match since both Julie and Nike were the more brawler-styled fighters in their respective teams. Diane’s approach was more about some high flying and spectacular hits and also her more… intimate set of skills, but when it was time for hard hits and eating some punches she knew that Julie was the best for the job.

And up to that point the match had been a very back and forth thing. Both fighters exchanged some hits and takedowns, testing the limits in the prowess of their rival in order to find some weakness they could exploit, but after that last kick Julie had seen herself on the canvas, surprised from the sudden strength and perfect execution of the kick aimed at the side of her head. Slightly disoriented as her balance was ruined, the blonde struggled as she noticed Nike using her arms to drag her back on her feet. Still fazed by the previous hit she knew that what was coming was bad, since she had no way to further protect herself from whatever the Greek brawler might be planning.

Daphne had intended to let Julie go once she lifted the woman to her feet. But once she had her, she couldn't resist pushing her advantage just a little. Her arms slid to wrap around her opponent's waist, and she tried to lift the poor girl up and slam her onto the canvas on her back with a belly-to-belly suplex!

"Afíste tin na sikotheí, Dáfni!" Astra yelled sternly from the apron. Daphne's right eye twitched in annoyance and she hissed out a breath before making her way over to her sister.

"Adelfí, aftós eínai énas agónas." Daphne smiled tensely at her sister, bracing for an argument as she forgot about her opponent for the time being.

"Gi 'aftó den ímastan poté synergátes píso sto spíti! Ta styl mas den tairiázoun." Astra crossed her arms, and Daphne rolled her eyes as she turned back to the action in the ring.

Julie's rival was proving to be quite though and resilient, also smart when she decided to keep going with her rush instead of letting the blonde rest. When Julie was easily dragged into a back to back suplex she cried in pain from the impact.

Then something unexpected happened. When she was feeling at her worst in that match Julie noticed her rival talking with her partner. Both of them were speaking Greek so there was no way she could get anything they were saying but based in the tone and the faces they were making, it looked like they were having an exchange of opinions. Could it be that they were arguing in the middle of a match.

Seeing this as a chance to act, Julie stood to action. "Eyes here, redhead. This is a match.", She said just before going for a simple but effective over the shoulder throw. If she managed to get her rival on the mat Julie would keep going with a couple of stomps to further soften her rival before attempting a legdrop on her counterpart's legs. This could turn the tables and make things even again.

Daphne hissed through her teeth as she turned back towards her opponent after the brief argument with her sister. Julie admonished her, telling to keep her eyes on the match.

"You're right, of course. Sorry. Sometimes my sister forgets her years of experience and becomes a child again." She threw this last part over her shoulder, even though Astra was no longer paying attention. When the redhead's opponent came towards her, Daphne was prepared to disable her with a palm strike. However, Julie startled her by turning and grabbing her arm, trying to throw the Greek warrior over her shoulder.

"Fuck!" Daphne yelled as she was thrown to the canvas, gritting her teeth in pain after the impact. As her opponent lifted her foot, the redhead held her arms up to try and block or ward off potential stomps.

Julie just couldn’t believe what her eyes were witnessing. Being best friends with her tag team partner she was the first one who knew that sometimes things weren’t just perfect, and disagreements and even arguments could happen and that was natural. Moreso, that thing would only get more intense when one’s partner is their sister, but one thing was having some chat to talk some differences and something else was having that conversation in the middle of a match!

Seeing this as a chance to strike, Julie managed to take away her rival with a quick over the shoulder throw. Nike was quickly snapped out of her bubble in which she was arguing with her rival as she impacted against the canvas with her back. The Greek redhead quickly went into a guard position from the ground to try and protect herself from any stomp coming from Julie.

The blonde Nova didn’t like that. Strike and keep going was her craft, and now she was forced to adopt a tactic that isn’t her area of expertise. “Well, here goes nothing.”, said Julie as she would quickly get a hold on Nike’s leg and lock a figure four leglock, aiming to get some damage done and softening her rival.
