Personality: Astra is rather bashful outside of the ring. She prefers to let others do the talking, especially if her sister is around. This is partially due to her tumultuous relationship with the English language. She will often speak exclusively in Greek and rely on her sister to translate. Inside of the ring, she is cool-headed and calculating. Her bashfulness and insecurity are gone, replaced by a self-assured charisma and an almost noble air.

Past/History: Astra comes from the Andronikos clan, a modestly famous family of wrestlers who hail from Thessaloniki, Greece. The legacy of her parents and grandparents was always something that Astra wasn’t entirely interested in growing up, but it consistently loomed in the background as she grew older, and she was consistently reminded that as soon as she turned fifteen, she would be brought into the family business. Next to her sister, Astra was considered the meeker sibling and wasn’t expected to go very far as a wrestler. That changed after she turned fifteen.
Astra’s first wrestling match was on her fifteenth birthday. She faced the son of a family friend. She’d met the boy before, but because all he’d wanted to talk about was wrestling she had never had much interest. Because she hadn’t put much effort into training, the match ended in a mortifying defeat, shaming both Astra and her family. From that day forward, Astra’s training was more rigorous, and every time she lost determination she was reminded of her humiliating loss, and the shame she’d brought upon the family. Then, two months of daily training later, she returned for a rematch. This time, she elicited a screaming submission from her opponent via a cross kneelock at three minutes in.
Astra won many of her matches after that, though she still suffered a few humiliations at the hands of particularly cruel opponents. When she turned eighteen, the humiliations became more frequent as sexual tactics started entering her opponents’ repertoires. After a few matches lost this way, she asked her family to help her combat these tactics. Her parents told her to take the high road and win by having more skill, not by resorting to cheap tactics. It was after four years of this struggle that her sister decided to leave the nest and find another promotion to be a part of. Astra convinced her sister to take her along, and they found a Japanese promotion, called the AFW, which was hiring. They applied by sending in audition tapes, each of which featured one of the sisters winning depending on whose it was. They were called and offered spots within a few weeks.

Fun Facts: Despite being on the receiving end of many sexual tactics in the ring, Astra has never had sex with anyone who wasn’t an opponent, and hasn’t actually done much dating at all.
Astra is a Scorpio. While she may seem mostly calm on the surface, she has a shorter and more dangerous temper than her sister.
