Sienna Sorrel vs Mia Yukari Wilson - Samurai v Mustang!

Sienna connected with her kick, but hadn't expected to suddenly get taken down from the mat, the sweep knocking her off her feet and dropping her to her back on the mat. She found herself briefly disoriented, sitting up quickly and groaning as she clutched at her neck, selling the effects of whiplash from dropping so suddenly.

The two had exchanged a rather quick burst of action which again popped the crowd slightly, the pair slowly but surely working the slow beginnings of their match into something a bit faster paced, however briefly. It was as if they were gaining a feel for one another, learning how to work together.

Sienna knew she needed to maintain the offensive, and find an opening to land a ''lethal'' blow, but Mustang was no joke, showing resilience and resourcefulness the Samurai hadn't expected. As she made her way back up to her knees to recover, she contemplated what to do next, thinking her kick surely took more out of her opponent than it truly had.

Mia definitely managed to get the best result out of a really bad situation like it was being hit by a superkick and falling on her back. The legsweep she attempted bore its fruits taking Sienna down on the mat.

As the Mustang arose on her feet she grimaced in pain, a low groan escaping her as her hand reached to rub the area she was kicked in. Even if she tried to hide that fact the superkick Sienna threw was really painful, and Mia wasn't that good at dealing with pain. But she knew the value of morale in combat so she tried her best to make it look like it was nothing, even if she took some seconds to recover. Now Mustang knew that the Samurai meant business.

After she used some seconds to assess the situation Mia set her next course. The brunette noticed how her rival was slowly getting on her knees, but she looked quite beaten up at that moment so she should be like that for some time. The Mustang decided to go for a powerful hit in retaliation for the superkick. As she started running and made a rebound on the ropes the crowd started cheering in anticipation as they understood what was going on. Mia kept gaining momentum in order to hit Sienna with a powerful dropkick to her torso as she was still on her knees. After that and without hesitation the brunette would secure her rival's shoulders agains the mat in a cover position. The referee rushed to start the count. "ONE!"

Sienna took the dropkick to the chest and flopped backward onto the mat hard, dazed for just a moment, "TWO-" she heard it and instinctively kicked out as quick as she could at the count of two. That was close! She rolled to one side and tried to stand once more as she moved to regroup and regain some semblance of momentum.

Mia was on a roll. Not only she had managed to overcome a powerful move coming from her rival, the brunette had also led a winner streak from almost the very beginning of their match. Now that her dropkick had put a dent on Sienna's endurance it could be a good moment gor the Mustang to quickly finish this with a pin maneouver.

When the count hit the two mark Mia felt excited about the chance of getting a first win in a flashy show like that. In term s of spectacle maybe a little more back and forth would be welcome, but the crowd looked happy. But the victory wouldn't come that easily, since Sienna jerked her body and managed to lift one of her shoulders just enough to break the pin.

Mia wasn't mad about Sienna's recovery. After all, the match was still young and this gave both wrestlers more chances to show their skills to the eager public. The Mustang quickly got up again, trying to get ahead her rival once more. She would then try to connect a stomp on Sienna's chest and then a more powerful elbow drop. The brunette was aware that those moves weren't going to end the match, but she was using all what she could in order to soften Sienna up, setting everything in motion for more powerful moves.

Sienna grimmaced as the stomp connected, dropping her back prone from her seated position, and then loudly gasped as the elbow drop nailed her square in the abdomen. She reeled, spinning over onto her front and clutching her gut as she got the wind knocked out of her. She grabbed the bottom rope and tried to pull herself back up to her feet. Mia still had plenty of time to continue the onslaught of punishment as the Samurai found herself in quite the predicament. She needed to figure out how to recover and fast!

Everything was going according to Mia’s plans, to the brunette’s delight. The Mustang liked to tackle her fights in a quick but powerful fashion. Her style was hitting hard from the very beginning before their rivals could try and mount any kind of defence. And that was exactly what she wanted to do against Sienna, the Samurai looking in a dazed and winded up state and unable for the moment to hold any kind of resistance against her moves.

The crowd was excited about the match and curious about what the Mustang had in store for her rival next, so Mia didn’t make any of the people in the arena wait, not even her rival who still was trying to get a hold on the ropes so she could get back on her feet. Mia would gave Sienna those instants of respite, but the moment the Samurai planted her feet anew on the mat she rushed to get a hold on her rival’s arm and Irish whipping the redhead against the ropes in expectation of making her gain momentum and not be able to stop. When Sienna would be getting closer to her the Mustang would use her flexibility to charge a powerful axe kick against her rival’s chest. “Hyaaah!”

Sienna found herself dashing across the ring as Mustang whipped her across, turning and bounding back as not to fall over, running the ropes as best she could. Immediately upon reaching her opponent again, she ate an axe-kick to the sternum and dropped to the mat like a ton of bricks. She exhaled rather loudly as again the wind was knocked out of her sails. This wouldn't be enough to finish her by any stretch but the punishment was certainly mounting. Sienna needed to think of something fast!

Mia had reached a point in which the match looked completely under her control. Using her favourite asset, some strength no one looking at her frame could suspect she had in her, against her rival with several moves and throws the brunette was making Sienna have a really bad debut day. But even despite that the Mustang didn’t want to become overconfident. She hadn’t been that much into wrestling but she already knew the stories about legendary fighters getting a reputation as able to mount incredible comebacks.

Mustang just needed to make sure that she kept her barrage until Sienna was definitely unable to keep going. The Samurai looked like she was starting to feel the pain and exhaustion caused by the treatment she was receiving. Without giving the redhead any time to regain her breath Mia dragged her rival on her feet, and then quickly got one arm on top of her shoulders while the other went between her legs, then she lifted Sienna and dropped her in a powerful bodyslam. That had to be it. Just after her rival hit the mat Mia lay next to her and hooked one of her legs in a pin. “ONE!”

Sienna impacted with the mat, causing the ring to visibly shake. Her eyes widened and she felt the shock throughout her body, before she knew it the referee was counting - "TWO!"

She reached deep down within her reserves of stamina and kicked out! All of the cobwebs had been shaken out of her, and though she was getting worn out, she was nothing if not resilient. Pounding the mat with one fist she pushed herself up to her feet as a surge of adrenaline took her.

The crowd popped her her kickout and subsequent rally, watching as the Samurai began the prelude to what she hoped would be her comeback. This was a foreign crowd, she hadn't worked many of her indy matches in this country, so she didn't have the backing of the same loyalists she had come to know... But that only made each shout and cheer of the crowd resonate even more, these people were accepting of her, a gaijin, clad in attire reminiscent of their own culture. Some part of her dreaded coming out here tonight, worried they'd never accept a foreigner donning the garb of a samurai... But upon hearing the reaction to her second kickout, she had found her resolve. Sienna was going to fight!

Charging at Mia, Sienna leapt forward and spun mid-air, throwing a running, spinning elbow with authority! She'd no intention of stopping there, continuing to bound across the ring... If she planted Mia like she wanted with the elbow, she had another surprise in store, a follow-up basement dropkick on the rebound!

When the ref reached the "TWO!" count Mia couldn't help but grin. She only had to keep her rival still for one more second and that would give her a solid first win in her debut match. But that wasn't just meant to happen. Showing some real willpower and resilience Sienna kicked out of the pin with a really powerful and sudden jerk just instants before the referee got her palm on the mat for the third time. "You couldn't just stay down, couldn't you?", Mia thought, blaming herself more than she blamed her rival for thay escape.

But the Samurai not only kicked out successfully, she also did it on a display of power and resilience, getting on her feet in a rush and being rewarded with a powerful cheer from the crowd. Until now Mia had the control of the match, and her impulse and style had granted some favour coming from the public. But now the respectable was also rewarding her rival's spirit and strength of character. The fact that she was a wrestler posing as a samurai against someone with a Mustang monicker made this some kind of "clash of civilizations" kind of match. It was as if unintentionally the AFW higher ups booked a "East vs West" themed match. It wasn't as if that could get the crowd against the brunette, but one had to admit that having a samurai-themed wrestler showing that kind of spirit helped some parts of the crowd on her side.

With renewed strength Sienna charged with a leap and made a spin in the air that caught Mia off-guard, hitting her on the size of her head and sending her on her knees. Gritting her teeth at the sudden pain she tried regaining her footing but that wouldn't come to pass as Sienna used her current drive to fly and hit the Mustang in the chest with a hard hitting basement dropkick that made the public roar at the unexpected comeback!

For some instants every sound became muffled for Mia, and her vision took some time to go from blurry to focus. Then she realized she was looking at the lights on the ceiling of the stadium while lying on her back. Her chest and head hurt like hell from the powerful move, but getting on her knees was in order. However, she was still in a dazed state from the dropkick and it would take some time for her to get her guard up once more, so for now she was open to any attack.
