Match type: Standard
Victory Conditions:Victory by pinfall, submission, or knockout.

The Masterpiece aka Trent Masters would pace back and forth in his locker room. Already changed in his wrestling gear which consisted of a pair of blue wrestling briefs, blue wrist bands and matching wrestling boots, he did seemed rather displeased. There should be no reason for his displeasure, he was due to face one of the best AFW had to offer and it would be a great career highlight for him and the Dominion if he were to pick up a victory against Valley Doll.

Spoiler:

It wasn't like he was nervous neither, in fact he was more than confident in his victory over the Slamazon in tonight's main event. So what then, could be troubling him? "Hmmm almost time" he said to himself, folding his arms under his chest while looking himself in the mirror. "Just get in there, beat her and leave. That's all" he said with a heavy sigh.

The Masterpiece knew about Valley Doll but then again who didn't? However, there was more to that. In fact, the woman who he was seeing currently was very good friends with his opponent tonight. He had heard a lot about Valley from Alaina, mostly good things too yet somehow, deep down he simply just wasn't a fan of Valley nor could he get the idea behind respecting her either. Truth be told, he would rather not even wrestle her tonight because he was afraid of what Alaina might think of him. It was a strange feeling but one thing was certain, he was going to embarrass Valley Doll in the ring.

A knock on the door signaled his cue to move and the Masterpiece would begin to do just that. Trent would make his way to the gorilla position and when his theme music hit, he would make his way out to the Tension arena. He was greeted with cheers but tonight he had a serious "only business" look on his face as he marched straight down to the ring. Trent would walk up the steel steps and enter the ring, immediately making his way to the middle of the ring whilst turning his attention towards the ramp, silently waiting the arrival of Valley Doll.

‘The Masterpiece’? Valley Doll would admit, she liked Trent Master’s choice of a name before she even met the guy.

It was just a funny little thought, she had to herself as she came out through the curtains, her music blaring and the crowd sending their love her way. She didn’t know too much about her opponent, but that was often the case with these Tension matches, going in blind with guys who didn’t have that many matches under their belt. With a name like Trent’s, however, she had some expectations. Confidence, for one thing. A man sure of himself, his abilities, his place - though, hopefully not quite as much as Daisuke. Still, she would happily take a braggart over some of the weaker guys on the brand, the ones that gave the real wrestlers a bad name.

After taking the time to slap a few hands and wink at a few lucky guys, she rolled into the ring, popped to her feet, and got a good look at her competition for the day. Not bad, not bad. Easy on the eyes, she would admit, and judging by his attire, he wasn’t ashamed to show off what he had. Serious look on his face, too. All business, which she didn’t have a single problem with. The opponents that took things too seriously tended to be the easiest ones to break down.

"Hey, there." Valley hopped on her toes, getting warmed up. "You look like you mean business over there. Go easy on me, okay?"

For the first time in his wrestling career, Trent was feeling unsure. Not about whether he could out-wrestle and beat one of the best but about whether he should be wrestling his opponent for tonight in the first place. He had his reserved opinion on Valley Doll especially when most would consider her one of the best wrestlers in AFW, whether it be Tension or Friction.

Upon the surprising revelation of Alaina and Valley being good friends and having heard alot about Valley from Alaina, the best thing he could do tonight is to keep his reservations about Valley in check, beat her clean and make his way out as soon as he could. That way he could at least assure he wouldn't be upsetting anyone.

Trent responded to her greeting with a simple nod. However, her request for going easy on her didn't go too well with him. "I know a lot about you. I don't think I need to be taking it easy on someone as capable as yourself" he responded while adjusting his briefs. The Masterpiece would look over towards the referee, waiting for the bell to ring.

*DING*DING*DING*

Trent would raise his arms up and slightly bend forward, circling Valley around but maintaining his distance. He knew she wasn't naive enough to grapple against him but wanted to see what sort of trick she had up her sleeve.

Oh, so he was a smart man, then. Should’ve known, Alaina’d never struck Valley as the type to shack up with an idiot. If he could hold his own against the Amazon in a spar, he had to be worth something, and it was probably was just because he had a Y-chromosome swimming around in his DNA. Someone strong. Someone capable. There was some potential for a real match here.

She smiled as his reply and lifted up her imaginary dress for a quick curtsy. ”Flattery. Nice.” She gave him a quick wink. ”Let’s see how far that gets you.”

Valley hopped about a couple of more time before dropping into her fighting stance as the bell rang. The second it sounded off, she took a quick dash forward, closing in at rapid speed, looking like she was about to start this up hard…

...only for her to leap off to the side at the last second, staying just out of his reach. She moved quick, stayed light, trying to bate him into making a move and giving her an opening. No need to rush with this one.

He wasn't called the Masterpiece for no reason. Trent was quite aware of Valley's games. He wasn't sure she played them so innocently or whether she knew what she was doing just to put her opponent's off their guard. Hearing her praises from Alaina as well as doing his own research about her, Trent was quite aware of how capable the Slamazon was and one mistake in this match could cost him.

Trent was not prepared to lose this match, not against Valley Doll. She smiled at him with a response of her own but this time Trent chose to stay silent and figured he would rather do his talking through his actions. The two of them took their wrestling stances right after the bell rang, circling each other until Valley would dash forward towards the leader of the Dominion.

The blue brief wrestler would stand firm and didn't flinch, he suspected Valley was baiting him in and no way was she ever intending to lock up with him. That's just what happened and the Slamazon would leap off to the side at the last second. That is when Trent would dash forward, looking to catch her off guard and attempted to grab her left arm to take it behind her to lock in a hammerlock. If successful, Trent would twist and wrench that arm while having it pressed against her upperback.

"You talk too much" he whispered.

Trent was a man who knew how to strike while the iron was hot, it seemed. Valley had expected the man to come in strong, but even she was taken off guard by this level of aggression - one moment she had a comfortable distance on him, and the next he was all over her. Even with her reflexes, she didn’t have to backpedal before he seized her hand and wrenched it around, capturing her in a tight hammerlock that made her yelp in both surprise and pain.

Impressive, really. A for the effort. She would’ve clapped if she could use both hands.

Even with the pain, she couldn’t help but laugh at his little return fire taunt. ”No, Trent.” She looked over her shoulder and caught his eyes. ”I talk just enough.”

Valley brought her foot up and slammed her heel down, looking to smash him right on the instep. A bit of pain, sure, but she wanted a distraction more than anything, hoping it would be enough of one for her to lurch forward, whip her free arm around, and clock him in the face with an elbow.

Generally, the Masterpiece was not always as stoic as he was today. He didn't want to risk saying something to Valley that he would regret later on outside the ring judging by how close she was with Alaina. Regardless, it was to be an easy task in his mind to just get in the ring, wrestle, win and take his leave without too much hassle or effort. The more time he would spend in the ring with Valley the more chances of his disliking of her would surface.

Catching her in a clean hammerlock, he would twist that arm up high against her back to show her he mean't business. His response was met with an equally sharp response by Valley, both verbally and physically who would stomp her heel down on his foot causing him to grunt in discomfort. However, that was only to be the distraction because her free arm came swinging back to catch him clean against his face.

"Urgh?! Tch..." he showed a hint of frustration. In that moment of rage, the Masterpiece lunged forward and attempted a clothesline to knock her down but the attempt was rather rash and he didn't put much thought in it, he simply wanted to get her back for that quip.

Oh, nasty hit. Right on the face. That had to suck.

It was effective, though. Valley was just trying to get free from the lock, not wanting to let things get too far out of hand so early in the match. Not only did it have the effect of getting her out of the lock, but it also ticked Trent off, which meant she had a raging male heading her way. Always fun to deal with.

She spun about to face him and ducked just in time to avoid the clothesline, letting it pass by overhead. She didn’t raise back up, though - instead, she stayed with her back bent, looking over her shoulder.

The moment he turned around, she had a little surprise for him - she flipped back, let her legs sail in a wide arc, and attempted to clock him in the face with her patented Pele Kick.

The elbow struck him clean on the face, making Trent groan in pain and forced to release his position on top. No matter, it was only a small bump on the road and no doubt he would soon recover from this.

However, his over-eagerness to recover and take the fight right back to Valley would cost him and when he attempted a rash clothesline to take Valley down, the always nimble and quick on her feet veteran would spun about to face him and duck under his out-stretched arm.

Surprised by her quickness, Trent stopped dead in his track and turned around to face his opponent only to me kicked the face by a Pele Kick. "Gugh!" he let out a groan, louder than last time, while staggering back until his back would touch the corner turnbuckle and he would lean against it, temporarily dazed.

Valley landed the Pele Kick straight on. While she could never be sure with this angle, it sounded like she smack Trent right in the face, had to be a nasty hit, the kind that would leave him laid out. So, all she had to do was flip back up to her feet, and…

...oh, wow, he was still standing.

Valley actually had to pause a moment when she looked over her shoulder and saw Trent wobbling to the corner. She was so used to that move knocking women down, but a guy like Trent seemed better able to keep his balance. Not to big of a deal, he was still wide open, it was just another reminder that her tactics needed refinement in this new environment. Time to evolve.

Valley spun about and closed in on Trent with a bold stride, charging right up to him and leaping the last moment. She drew her arm back as she descended and brought her elbow down right into the center of his chest, looking to nail him there before he had a chance to get his head straight.
