Yamato’s music began to play, and second later the young Japanese man strode out through the curtain. Clad in his usual yellow and black ring gear, he began walking down the aisle toward the ring, a bit surprised at how loudly the crowd greeted him. The reason behind it was easy enough to guess. Yamato had gained a bit of a reputation for being his defeats at the hands of Tension’s beautiful women. Evidently the people enjoyed watching it, and expected tonight to be no different.

But as he climbed onto the apron and went through the ropes to step into the ring, the crowd was hardly on his mind. Ever since his defeat at the hands...or rather, feet, of Chloe Mason, he hadn’t been able to stop thinking about it. That experience had awakened him to a side of himself he hadn’t even known was there, and he still didn’t entirely know how to feel about it.

Yamato tried to shake it from his mind for now. This was a new match with new opponents, and he had to stay focused if he wanted any shot of doing well tonight. He was going to be outnumbered, and knew the odds were probably against him. It would be pretty great to pull off the upset victory, but there were definitely worse fates than losing a POW match here in Tension. Either way, he was looking forward to his opponents’ arrival, eager to see what exactly he was up against tonight.
