Tension Title Changes:

So after some debate, a couple decisions have been made regarding Tension titles.


First: The Tension 24/7 Title will be renamed "The AFW 24/7 Title" and will be the first official Crossover belt, available for both fighters in both Friction and Tension to claim as their own.

Second: To replace the 24/7 title, Tension will be getting a new Mid-Card title. We are looking for something along the lines of a japan version of the "WWE US" title or "WCW US/TV" title as the ideal idea for the belt. Something to help build up characters and make them a bigger deal and build them up for potential main event matches and such.

So far, the leading idea for the name of the belt is the "Nekketsu" (or "Hot Blooded) Championship, though we are open to hearing any suggestions on naming the belt from others.

I am looking to run a mini-tournament for the belt to crown a first champion, so anyone looking to join in on that, please PM me or contact me on the AFW Discord to let me know.

I don´t know about tournaments, but I think that it is a good idea if the 24/7 belt is not tension only. It is basically the belt best suited to cross promotion and also gender neutral, even WWE realized that.^^

Nothing wrong with tourneys. It's the people involved in them that cause the issues.

If the problem was one inherent in a tournament as a whole, you wouldn't see tournaments used elsewhere. The problem however, is one on the forum, almost entirely caused by participate loss of interest or inactivity. That falls on the people involved. It's the same for any hanging plotlines or unfinished ppv matches. Strongly disagree all you like, but your feelings are far from facts.

The inherint problem with torunaments are indeed the participants. So it is either very time limited or has to be plothammered by the administration until the two most active people remain. Personally, I think that this is not the worst thing to happen though, I always prefer reliable posting partners over sloppy genius ones. But this is work for the people in charge, and surely does not make you popular.
