The Wrights vs. The Rodriguezes - Family Tensions

With the Wright Rebellion temporarily put on Army spat to the side and took a second to test out his knee, putting some pressure on it. It might not have looked like much, but that little kick was still stinging his legs. Thankfully, he’d have some time to let it wear off, to lose the sting, because his very next move was to tag out with Carmen.

He slipped in under the ropes as Carmen leaped over them, coming down nearby where James was wallowing. She spared a quick glance Jessica’s way, just to make sure she was staying put, and then it was back to work.

”Up.” She dropped to a knee, seized James by the head, and shoved him under her arm into a waiting front facelock. From there, she started to stand up, forcing him to come along and give him a stiff shot to the gut if he tried to resist too much. She’d seen how he managed to run Army ragged for a bit, and she wasn’t about to give the guy any room to breath.

A shadow interrupted the light. Carmen was standing above him now, and Carmen was by no stretch of the imagination a little lady. She loomed over him, and James quickly came to understand that his evening was about to go from bad to worse. Carmen gave him a curt instruction, and then gave the aerial ace very little chance to act on it. James was seized, and her found himself standing up. A hard blow slammed into his gut, breaking any chance that he had at scrambling away from this woman's grasp.

Jessica leaned forward. She did not like the way Carmen had just looked at her, but she was not going to enter the fray just for a look. But still, she could offer helpful words of encouragement. "Kick her in her fucking pussy!" Jessica hollered from across the ring.

Despite what Jessica thought, her words were not terribly helpful. James was pretty much stuck in this position now. Carmen had an awfully strong grip, and James was not even thinking about breaking free using brute force. He had little belief that he could get out of the hold using his strength.

But if it could work on Army, it made sense that it could work on Carmen. He maneuvered his feet very quickly, and tried to trip Carmen to the ground. If he could get the trip to work, he could push against the Latina and get himself a little bit of breathing room.

While it was certainly not the effect that Jessica was going for, her little suggestion made Army laugh out from the other side of the ring, despite the stinging pain in his knee. ”Yeah, dude, kick her in the pussy! See what happens!”

Carmen was not nearly as amused, needless to say. ”I don’t think I need to tell you how dumb an idea that would be.” She gave him a quick wrench in the hold, just to emphasize the point

Just because he was going for that, though, didn’t mean that James wasn’t going to try something. Carmen’s plan had been to lift him up into a vertical suplex, maybe even roll with it and get a Three Amigos going. That was nixed, though, when James showed a bit more spirit than she was anticipating. One trip later, and she found herself on her back with the hold lost, and her momentary advantage slipping away.

James back up. He backed way up. From how his opponent was moving, James guessed that she was going for something big. Given that he had just dealt with a few stomps, he felt that a whole lot more damage to his body, especially his chest, would not only lead to an early end to the evening's activities, but his sister would literally not stop bitching him. She might literally yell at him for days on end.

But James was free now. These siblings were strikers, and James thought that was a fine thing to be. The aerial ace could launch a few strikes of his own. But it was not the standing, powerful strikes with momentum and all of that nonsense. Even when he was going for strikes, James was going to fly through the air.

Jessica was watching intently. It was not her MO to go for moves like the ones James was about to do. She was more about the slamming, pussy-kicking, no holds barred sort of gal. The Violent Violet had seen James do this attack before, but she had a bad feeling about this.

James barreled forward, and did a somersault. He bounced off of his hands, and clasped them together as he was coming down. That would get extra force into the double axe handle slam that he was going to aim straight at Carmen's head, should the woman rise in time! The acrobatic move was a high risk, high reward endeavor, but James was feeling lucky.

Carmen slapped the mat after James managed to escape, the number one thing she didn’t want to happen. He was already proving to be a bit more irritating than his sister was. Jessica was a simple type to take on - she was a tank, and the best way to deal with a tank was to hit it until it went down. He, on the other hand, had tactics and tricks and problems she would have to adapt to. Different game. She would give the Wrights credit there, at least. They brought more variety than most tag teams.

By the time she’d sat up and made it to a knee, he was already on the move again, bounding towards her at full speed. He’d already made some space between them, and he was heading straight towards her to cash in. Leaping up. Flipping forward.

Hm.

Carmen only thought about the move she was about to do for a second, but that was just long enough. As James came whirling in, Carmen rose up to meet him, lifting her arm she rose and throwing an uppercut to his face - or where she anticipated his face would be in half-a-second. It would be a blow that connected with her strength and his momentum doubling the impact. A potential knockout. Even if that didn’t happen, though, James would be feeling it for a while.

James was bringing his hands down, but Carmen was a little bit quicker in bringing her hand up. One of the most devastating punches he had ever felt in his life slammed into his jaw, and immediately James was sent flying up and backwards. His attack dissipated into nothing as the aerial ace found himself in the air. But this time, he was not in the air under his own power.

Jessica groaned. She felt the massive power of the shot even across the ring, and grabbed her jaw on instinct. If Jessica had taken a shot like that, she might have been KOed. She hoped her brother was OK. Not necessarily out of a sense of love for her sibling, not really. She just hoped that the blow had not knocked him out right then and there.

The aerial ace was clinging to consciousness, but it was only by the skin of his teeth. All of his senses were dulled, to say the absolute least. James was swimming through a world that was indistinct and painful, with one purple eye open and one eye shut. Like the stomps, James just focused on hanging on by a thread. If he had maintained much capacity to think, he would have wondered if his jaw was broken. The terrible force of the blow rendered him unable to move, with his arms and legs flung wide.

The entire audience - and Army - recoiled as Carmen landed that blow, shying away from the vicious impact. It would’ve been a brutal, thunderous shot in just about any situation, but the one that James had somersaulted into was particularly damaging. You could hear the sound of her fist colliding with his bone all the way to the middle of the stadium, and the referee came sliding in the second he went down, checking to make sure he was still conscious.

He was. Somehow. Wrights were made of stern stuff, Carmen had to to give them that.

She stood up after the hit, flexed her fists to get the tingling sensation, and then she was on the move again. He wasn’t unconscious, but that didn’t mean he was all there, either, and this was a perfect opportunity to exploit.

She dropped down at his side, grabbed him by the leg, and pressed her her back down on his chest, going for the pinfall. The referee was quick to slide back and start the count, slapping the canvas hard.

”1…!”

As soon as the hit went through, Jessica was moving. James was a tough cookie because he had practically grown up in the ring, the same way that she had. But this was a shot that very few people could sustain. Even as Jessica clambered over the ring, she idly wondered to herself how she would have handled such a monstrous blow. As she took the first few steps forward, it occurred to her that the ref girl probably was not going to just let her mosey on over and break up the pin. She needed a distraction.

"Hey, ref, can Army do that?" The words were quick, because they needed to be quick. She desperately hoped that they were enough to get the ref girl focused on what Army was doing, as opposed to the pin. Or more importantly, what she was doing.

It only took a few strides for the Violent Violet to make it across the ring. Once she got close enough, she aimed a two footed slide straight at Carmen. She did not give a damn that the mat was going to scrape her knees all up. All that mattered was breaking her idiot, useless, just-got-knocked-into-next-Thursday brother out of this pin before he lost both of them the match.

Carmen strongly suspected Jessica wasn’t just going to sit idly by and let her brother be pinned. Not that she blamed her - she would have done the same thing in the reversed situation. Arguably, she already had.

But she hadn’t been expecting it to happen like Jessica decided to do it. And she had been hoping that Army could counteract her, but the way she came in didn’t leave much room for that.

The referee fell for the distraction and turned to Army, which blocked him from actually doing anything as Jessica came in. By the time she got one foot through the ropes, Jessica was coming down on her with a double boot to her side, one that sent her rolling off James and nearly made her roll clean out of the ring. She managed to grab the ropes and prevent that, but she was still left stunned on the canvas, recovering from the shock.

Jessica did not even look at the ref. She did not bother explaining herself, nor did she really think that the ref would have accepted any explanation that she would provide. As she stood up, she grabbed her brother's leg and then began dragging him back to their corner. Knowing her brother, and judging from the hit, James was going to be down for a little while, and Jessica had little time for that, and less patience. Upon getting close enough, she flung his carcass at the corner and made a big show of tagging his hand.

It was her time now. There would be no flipping nonsense, and no aerial assaults. This was only going to be solved through a crapload of violence, and that is precisely what Jessica was intending to bring to the table. She wheeled around, and found her way back to the center of the ring.

From there, she hunkered down. It was go time. Carmen had clocked James, and nearly knocked him unconscious. Jessica was not going to suffer that fate.
