Serious apologies to everyone....

Mon Mar 19, 2018 1:59 am by Cy_Man

To those who I RP with, I just want to say that I am terribly sorry for all my delays that I constantly do. I just have been SO unbelievably busy as of late that I hardly have any free time to be able to attempt to make posts to our threads. I really needed to get his off my chest badly, and it makes me feel like a complete piece of shit for doing this all the time. If you don't want to RP with me, I completely understand, there should be no reason or excuse for me to have to keep you waiting …

Explanations and Apologies

Sun Mar 18, 2018 10:02 pm by acuya

Okay, so.

As some of you may have noticed, the Entropy Title Match from last year's Summer Splash has come to an abrupt conclusion.

The reason for this is because my match with Lies was taking too long, and with the next Summer Splash coming up, the Entropy Belt needed to be put in play for this year.

I won't get into the specifics of WHY that happened, suffice to say it ultimately comes down to my fault, I think. For those who haven't been here long, back in the day, I had a problem with …

A match for Takeichi

Mon Mar 12, 2018 7:31 am by GrandAkumaShogun

Since both Imai and Takeshi are currently involved in matches I was wondering if anyone is interested in taking on my first wrestler I made for here, Takeichi Mori. His profile says he's a jobber but I intend to change that and hoping a match can help with that. Anyone interested please get in touch with me on here in a pm.

Wrestling Information

Physical Stats:

Endurance: 3/5
Strength: 5/5
Speed: 2/5
Defense: 2/5
Technique: 2.5/5

Wrestling Stats:

Strikes: 4/5
Submissions: 3/5
Powerhouse: 5/5
Aerial: 0.5/5
Counters: 3/5

Fighting Style: Josh is a tank. Not very quick, nor very fancy. But he packs devastating power and incredible strength. He seeks to overpower his opponent with heavy strikes and powerful slams to wear them down. Josh almost never tries any aerial offense, and submission moves in his arsenal are typically rather basic, but effective given his sheer size and strength.

Preferred Match Type: Any

Favored Moves: Bear Hug, Boston Crab, Samoan Drop, Fallaway Slam, Torture Rack, Camel Clutch, Suplexes, Lariat, Powerslam, Powerbomb, Backbreaker, Military Press Slam

Signature Moves:

Deadlift Gutwrench Powerbomb: With the opponent lying prone on the mat, Josh wraps his arms around their waist, then lifts them straight up into the air and powerbombs them right back down to the mat.

Tiger Driver: After doubling the opponent over, Josh tucks their head between his legs while hooking their arms behind their back. From there he hoists them up into the air and plants them right back down with a sitout powerbomb right into a pin attempt.

Finishing Moves:

Lanzarse: When a downed opponent is trying to get up, Josh crouches the corner and stomps repeatedly while the crowd claps along with the stomps. Once his foe is up Josh charges like a bull to take them down with a brutal spear that immediately transitions right into an equally devastating spinebuster.

Personality: In the ring Josh is a focused, no-nonsense guy. Outside of wrestling, Josh is very laid back and mellow, and has a sarcastic sense of humor. He can be a bit quick tempered at times, particularly when it comes to issues involving his family or the New Mexico promotion his family runs. He takes a great pride in both, and won’t tolerate either being insulted. Much like his sister Julia, Josh typically doesn’t care too much about wins and losses. He considers himself a “student of the game” and is always eager to learn and improve, from both victory and defeat. And though he’s the youngest of the Rogers siblings, Josh considers his personality to be the middle point between Julia, who he believes can often be too carefree, and Jesse, who he thinks generally takes life too seriously.

History: As is the case with his older sisters, Jesse and Julia, Josh was born into the world of pro wrestling. His parents are the founders of a promotion called New Frontier Pro-Wrestling in Albuquerque, New Mexico, where everyone in the Rogers family was born and raised. Being so surrounded by it his whole life instilled the same passion for the business that it did for his sisters. His parents were perfectly fine with, and encouraged him to pursue wrestling. But they encouraged him to participate in several different sports to see if anything happened to interest him more than wrestling, and to see what his best natural talents were so he could build a style off of them if he still wanted to wrestle.

Josh tried multiple various sports over the course of his childhood, but by high school was sticking only to football and wrestling. By then his body had grown and revealed that he possessed quite a bit of natural strength, which was only enhanced by the intense amounts of heavy lifting he did, both during team workouts and in his free time. By the time he graduated, Julia was wrapping up her lucha libre training in Mexico and Jesse was a veteran on the NFPW roster. But he fought hard to catch up to his sisters as much as he could. Josh never did get as good of a grasp on technical wrestling as either of his sisters, despite having been on the high school wrestling team. But his immense strength helped him bulldoze his way to a respectable spot in the NFPW rankings. He never did win their top championship, though at one point Josh challenged Julia for it. He gave an excellent effort but came up short. That had been midway through what went on to be a title reign that lasted over a year for Julia, which cemented the middle Rogers sibling as the top name on the roster. However, Julia was eventually offered a deal with the leading promotion in the world, AFW! Though sad to see her go, Josh and the rest of the family encouraged her to take the offer, which she did. In his sister’s sendoff match, Josh teamed up with both his sisters in a big 6-man tag team match against three of the best in NFPW outside of the Rogers family. The match was intense and ran just under an hour before Julia picked up a very emotional win for their team.

But things in NFPW were never the same once Julia left. The roster still had several talented people, but none quite connected with the audience the way Julia had been able to. Gradual declines in attendance and viewership became noticeable. But once again, AFW stepped in. A deal was made between the two promotions, signing Josh and Jesse to dual contracts. With the early success Julia had in Japan, AFW saw profit to be made by having her sibling on the roster as well. And at the same time, Josh and Jesse could keep their primary focus on NFPW at home while using their extra income to assist with its declining profits. And though they didn’t immediately tell Julia, Josh and Jesse also took on part time jobs as assistant trainers at the Higurashi dojo, where Julia trains.

Fun Facts:

His bench press max is 600 lbs, not far from the world record for his weight class.

Josh has a thing for foreign accents, though he’s never quite understood why. Irish, Spanish and Australian are his personal favorites.

Though he’s never won any titles in wrestling, Josh won the state championship with his high school football team twice.
