Etzlicoatl vs Belinda Northman

It did not at any point occur to Etzlicoatl that if she messed up on this she was totally going to eat shit and get lariated into oblivion. It was simply anathema to consider such a possibility.

Thankfully, things worked out for the best, and she collided with authority, sending Belinda down to the canvas. Etzli scrambled atop the other girl, trying to hook both legs and angle all her weight onto the blonde's shoulders. "Excellent! At last, all the world beholds the impotence of your gods, whose favor is like a worthless trinket that--COUNT ALREADY"

The ref girl was down by them in an instant - despite never quite being sure what was going on, she was at least quick to adapt. "One!"

Belinda laid on her back after taking that heavy elbow of the skilled Etzlicoatl, she breathed out and groaned as she soon felt her foe start to scramble on top of her and take a hold of her legs. Belinda was down but she was far from out of it. She coughed out as she was rolled up into position and she was placed in a pin by her foe.

The words of Etzli was something that Belinda kind of wanted to answer but she was interrupted from doing so as she heard that one count by the ref-girl. Belinda's eyes shot up as she would quickly attempt to break the pin before it could go any further than the one count, attempting to kick out with her legs and shoot her body up and to the side!

Unsurprisingly, given how it had gone down, they had only gotten past one by the time Belinda pushed herself free, the momentum throwing both girls simultaneously upright. Etzlicoatl was thoroughly in her element now, with the rhythm and flow of the match reaching breakneck speed and a nonstop pace, and as soon as she was upright, she was already hitting the ropes again.

A high-pitched ululation was the only warning Belinda got before the Nahuatl girl launched herself at her again, trying to go up for a satellite headscissors this time. A dangerous attack, and a disorienting one, but surprisingly easy to counter if she could keep her wits about her...

Belinda shook her head a bit as she was moving up to her feet, things didn't look all that bright at the moment for Belinda...but she was determined to make them look a lot brighter as soon as she got the chance to change that. When she got up to her feet she saw Etzli by the ropes and soon heard the loud uluation before Etzli launched herself towards the blond.

The young Swede's eyes widened as Etzli came in and jumped up, as she did so though...Belinda would attempt to use her arms to grab a tight hold of Etzli's frame and attempt to take back the control of the match, not wanting to let the Nahuatl girl swing her around with the move. Belinda would attempt to hold Etzlicoatl at her side and then try to take a step forward before attempting to counter her foe's move with a slam, a sidewalk slam!

Etzli was feeling pretty pleased with her ability to keep things at a high-impact, fast-paced level.  She was certain her opponent would run out of energy well before she did, as long as she could keep this degree of intensity going.

Things didn't go quite as planned, though.  She got the first half of the rotation on the headscissors, and then Belinda simply dropped to the mat, side-slamming her.  Etzli let out a yelp before crashing to the mat with the blonde on top of her, but had the presence of mind to notice the referee dashing into place, and kicked out a heartbeat after the one-count.

Having exchanged pinfall attempts lucha-style, the preliminaries were now over.  Etzli shoved Belinda off, squirming out from underneath the bigger girl and scampering across the ring, whereupon she leapt up onto the second turnbuckle and struck a dramatic pose.  "Good!" she proclaimed, waving her arms as if milking a gigantic cow.  "Your skills are impressive!  But you're in over your head, for, unbeknownst to you..."

The editing people in the broadcast truck were nice enough to do an inset close-up on her villainous grin.

"Until now, I've only been wrestling at seventy percent of my power!"

A collective sigh escaped the audience, punctuated by a few groans.

After she had been able to take down Etzli with her sidewalk slam and with it looked as if she could perhaps pick up a win...or at least had gotten back some momentum in what had turned into a very back and forth heavy match between the two combatants. What Belinda was left with was the fact that she wasn't even able to keep a hold of the pin as Etzli quickly kicked out of the pin.

Belinda quickly moved away and started to push up towards her feet and looked on as Etzli as the luchadora type wrestle moved up towards her feet and proclaimed quite a few things, when she called out that she had only used seventy percent of her power Belinda would even roll her eyes a bit before she decided to play along.

" Seventy percent ?! Phew....That means that you have thirty more to give?!...Though it also means I managed to make the great Etzlicoatl to use more than half her power!" Belinda let out in a half boastful manner!

It was, of course, a self-aggrandizing lie. Etzlicoatl had been going full tilt trying to win the match; there was nothing in the world that she did at anything less than a hundred percent.

Still, from her perch on the second turnbuckle, she blinked in surprise as Belinda not only went with it, but offered her a compliment in the process. It was kind of liberating. People usually treated her condescendingly, or did the 'I'm too cool for this' routine - it was the price of having to do this kind of stuff to get noticed. "I, um," she answered, a slight flush coming over her cheeks. "Yes! Of course you did! You are a worthy opponent, and should consider it Best In Life that I, Etzlicoatl, am unleashing all of the skills available to me...against you. Yes. Indeed."

Right, that had kind of died at the end. She should probably attack now.

"Perhaps if you survive this next onslaught, you may behold....MY MOST POWERFUL ATTACK."

With that, she dove off the turnbuckle, aiming to surprise Belinda with a high-angle crossbody. It was not her most powerful attack - that would take a whole lot of setting up, and probably, to the anguish of everyone involved, a lot more monologuing.

Belinda would smile a bit as she watched Etzli stumble on her words a bit, it did seem as if dealing with a person who would play along with her game was such a surprise to her. Belinda would simply listen on at her opponents words and was more than happy to play along with the little game...it gave the crowd something to laugh at and enjoy whilst she was going full force against a skilled opponent. As long as there was fun to be had and an interesting match then...why not play along ?

The young blond would let out a light laugh as Etzli spoke about how she was gonna unleash all of her skills on her from now on. " Give me all you've got! I'll take it on headstrong like a true hero and overcome whatever you throw at me! No matter what my will won't break!" Belinda let out as she was about to move forward and attempt to go after Etzli, though as she did the girl shouted out and then jumped off with her Most Powerful Attack coming aimed right at Belinda.

" Uugh!" Belinda was too late to do anything when Etzli had already jumped as she had committed already to move forward she was unable to change that before her foe jumped at her and crashed into her with that crossbody! Crashing right into Belinda's chest and taking her down onto her back!

It had been a risky maneuver, mainly because she'd spent way too much time monologuing before throwing it. To Etzli's pleasant surprise, though, Belinda had also spent way too much time monologuing before trying to counter it, and so she landed the crossbody just fine.

As soon as they hit the mat, she was rolling off towards her opponent's head, where she locked one leg around the blonde cutie's waist, jammed the other knee into her back, and tried to lock in her signature stretch plum. It was difficult - Belinda was bigger than she was, and hard to get her arms around - but if she could just manage the dragon sleeper part of the move, she might be able to get some serious leverage.

"None of your heroism will prevent the inevitable!" she cackled, sweat beading from her forehead from the exertion of trying to put the hold on. It sounded at least a little like Etzli was trying to convince herself there. Holy hell this girl was difficult to pin down.

Belinda groaned out as she soon enough felt herself getting picked up into a seated position by her skilled and lively opponent. Whom quickly started to lock her leg around the blond cutie's waist and jammed her knee into Belinda's back, " Nngh.." Belinda growled out low as she struggled from left to right but soon enough started to set the young blond up more and more which was causing the Swede some trouble...

As Etzli arm came around and started to try and grab a hold of her, the young Swede would attempt to bring her left hand up in an attempt to grab at Etzlicoatl's arm and tr yand wrestle it away from her head, as her right arm would try to shoot back into Etzli's side, attempting to hammer away and try and fight out of getting locked into such a dangerous submission hold !
