Crimson Snow; Seraphim and Tracy's encounter

Now that Seraphim thought about it, this was the first time she had come to a place like this herself, but she felt rather.. comfortable. Maybe it was because she just naturally prefered dressing well and wasn't stared at as much as Tracy, or perhaps it was those wonderful scents of meats being broiled, grilled, steamed, and cooked in all sorts of ways she wanted to learn and taste, or maybe... it was because Tracy was with her. Seraphim really couldn't pin it down, but being here felt calming to her.

Then, hearing Tracy's question, Seraphim shrugged it off as their platters would soon be brought to them, highly anticipating the mounds of all sorts of different meats they would recieve, feeling like she could eat a whole cow at this point, anxious, but not at all worried when Tracy spoke. "Yea, of course. I've been getting a good rep, and made some money so far. I save up as much as I can for Alison and the apartment, buuuut, there's nothing wrong with treating yourself every now and then, right?" Seraphim puffed her chest out a little and grinned, folding her arms under her ample chest as she had a look of pride on her face. "And I plan to win every match I'm in, so I'll have plenty of money as time goes on."

Now that Tracy was more aware of what was happening around her, and stopped to think for a second about all the meat she was going to eat, she took a look around. By the way everybody was looking at her, like if she were a monster or some kind of mutant, she wanted to stand up and kick everyone's ass. But..she didnt want to be a problem for Seraphim. She knew that if she caused trouble, Seraphim would be the one who would have to pay for her. But..between all the people, there was someone that really bothered her. That person was just..... a 7 years old boy. The little child had something in his face that really angered Tracy. The kawaii red head couldnt hold herself and stuck her tongue out, like trying to piss the boy off. He should be grateful to Seraphim that she was there, otherway, Tracy would have stood up and punched him to death.

As the white haired girl started to talk, Tracy listened carefully to her words. 'And I plan to win every match I'm in, so I'll have plenty of money as time goes on.'. For some reason, Tracy remembered a super hero she watched on TV when she was a child. Seraphim's words made her feel proud of her trainer. ' She's...you know..cool....' The kawaii thought as she stared at Seraphim right in the eyes. " ...And...do you think ....someday, I'll be....you know...like you? " Tracy nervously asked to her white haired friend.

Seraphim's smile actually faded when Tracy looked her in the eye, and posed that question. Her entire expression went from a relaxed cheerfulness to a drifting solemn that came out with a sigh as her crimson eye shifted away, uncomfortable with how she suddenly felt. Tracy wanted to be like her..? She had no idea...

"You already are... in far too many ways than you should be. It makes me feel sorry for us both." Seraphim spoke like she wasn't even awre of he surroundings anymore, a tone of hopelessness quickly hitting her as she looked down, her mind beginning to make the comparison. And it was just tradgic to her, like no one deserved it.

" Heh..Thanks---Wait, you said you feel sorry for us? Why? " Tracy didnt know Seraphim felt that way about her way of being and living. The kawaii street fighter stared at her trainer for a while with innocent eyes, looking for a decent answer. 'Why would she feel sorry? I mean..she's got all I ever wanted...She is tall...She is rough...and even has a patch!'. Tracy thought, her eyes focused on Seraphim's.

" You know..I think you're pretty cool.... I mean....you're all I always dreamed to be... " Tracy revealed what she was thinking. To be honest, she never thought that a normal life, with children and a husband would suit her good. Being a free lancer-street fighter was a hell of a lot better than that.

"Then your dreams are nothing but nightmares. Trust me... you don't want to be me, you would rather die than live with what I have to bare." Again, Seraphim's words came off as cold and meloncholy, like it was a hopeless fact she had stated, and even warning Tracy that it wasn't such a great idea. No one deserved to suffer the things Seraphim had, but she knew that Tracy had her own hardships, knowing first hand how painful it is to grow up on your own, on the streets.

Tracy stood up from her chair, her forehead almost touching Seraphim's. She seemed a little pissed off...Seraphim was telling her that her dream was something bad for her. After looking at the white haired girl right in the eyes for a while, just to know if that was just a joke, she sat back on her seat. She was dead serious...and right. Maybe living on your own and stealing your food wasnt the best way to live. The kawaii let out a deep sigh as she lowered her head, thinking about Seraphim's words for a moment.

Murder... tradgedies, suicides, watching everyone you know and love drop left and right, even having to kill the ones you loved and have others die in your arms, these were just a few threads in the web of pain and anguish Seraphim had been suffering all these years, and the last thing she wanted was for anyone to suffer what she had gone through. Seraphim never stated what really went on in her life, but it was clear by how dreadfully cold her tone was, that stealing food just to live and being homeless was the least of her troubles she suffered.

The moment between them was silent and dreary, but was broken as the waitress came with two massive plates for the two girls. It was filled with all sorts of different meats, and even better was that since it was an all you can eat, they were entitled to have whatever they wanted, to as much as they did. Seraphim didn't speak though, a dull look coming to her crimson eye as she started to eat, hardly making a sound as she did so with good table manners, but never looking up or towards Tracy now.

The silence was killing the kawaii streetfighter. Tracy had been through a lot of physical pain before, and she resisted it. But emotional and mental pain resulted to be a lot worse. As the waitress came to deliver the food, a soft sigh of relief escaped from Tracy's lips. But the relief didnt last long. The silence started to eat her once again, and Seraphim didnt seem to care about her presence. " Are you...Are you mad at me, Seraphy-chan? " Tracy innocently asked. She didnt even raise her utensils to start eating...She was far more worried about her friend than having a good meal.

The silence seemed to last for minutes for Seraphim, but in reality, it was no more than fifteen seconds, and then as Tracy broke it with her innocent question, Seraphim slowly shook her head, both from telling Tracy she wasn't mad, and to shake away the memories she was experiancing. "Nn.. No, of course not. I was just... thinking, that's all." Seraphim's face was like an expressionless, porcelain mask as she said that, slowly eating between as she took small bites, never making any sort of mess at all, having table manners that were even better than some of the higher class people here.

Serpahim never looked at Tracy after that, but it didn't stop her from speaking. As she looked down at her pile of meats, her crimson eye dull, she explained a little bit as to why she felt this way, but still excluded many of the details, not sure of how she could really tell Tracy without saying too much. "I just.. hate who I am, and no one should be like me. I just hope.. I hope I can teach you what I should have been, not what I am."

' Thinking about what...? '. Tracy wondered, but she didnt know that the answer for that question she was making to herself would come really soon. Seraphim didnt look happy at all, and that was easily noticeable for Tracy. Unlike most of other times, the kawaii decided to stop there, and not go any further. By the look on Seraphim's face, it wasnt anything good. What she didnt expect was what her trainer said after that. 'I just.. hate who I am....'. For a moment, Tracy was speechless. The only person she thought was cool hated to be that way. Perhaps she was wrong...Perhaps it was wrong to want to be like Seraphim. There was only one thing she could say. " ....Seraphy.... If there's anything I could do to help you....Please tell me...I just...cant resist watching you sad...okay? "
