Yui and Kanai - Apartment time

"Mako?" Kanai said. She tried to recall what 'Mako' was. She suddenly remembered. "Oh, you mean your dog?" Kanai said, "Now that you mention it, I haven't seen your dog around..." Her eyes widened in shock. "We didn't lose him, did we?" Kanai said, "Quick! We've got to go look!" She ran out of the room to grab some clothes.

Yui was already dressed up by the time Kanai remembered about Mako. With tears in her face,she opened the door and waited for her friend there,wanting her to help her find the little lost pet. She didnt even corrected Kanai when she said that Mako was a dog.

"Hurry,Kanai!!"

Kanai pulled on her clothes as fast as she could. Dressed in a pink t-shirt with white shorts, she ran out after Yui, quickly catching up.

"Ok, did you see Mako after you brought me in?" Kanai asked.

" I dont know....I remember it asked me for some food when we got here.....I left you on your bed and went out for some sandwiches and gave one to Mako when we were on our way back to your room......so I guess it should still be around.... " Yui was barely able to say because of the tears. She quickly turned away from Kanai and started to run,desperate. She turned her head around,trying to find some clue that leads her to where Mako is.

"So it should be in the building still," Kanai mused, "It asked for a sandwich, you gave it inside the building... Wait, it asked?" Kanai suddenly realized something odd in Yui's story. "How could an animal ask? Did it like speak or something?" She caught up to Yui and led her to the elevators. Kanai decided the best way to search for Mako was to do a sweep of the building from the first floor. Perhaps they could even ask the security guards for their help.

"Hmm....Not actually asked....It got into my sock...and that means that it's hungry." Yui explained,wiping away the tears as she felt a light of hope enlighten her way. As soon as they reached the first floor,Yui found a security guard. She ran towards him as fast as she never did before,and asked him for Mako.

"Have you seen a little.....em....animal running over here..?"

"Little animal?" the guard looked confused for a moment, "I see all sorts of stray cats and dogs on the street, and some of out patrons have pets with them too. Be more specific."

Kanai ran up to Yui's side. "Show him a picture," Kanai said.

Yui kewn what to do. She pulled out her cellphone and started to look for a pic of Mako. As soon as she found it,she showed it to the security guard,waiting for a possitive answer.

"So...have you seen it...?"

The guard took a close look. "What kind of animal is that? Some kind of dog?" the guard said. He looked thoughtfully at the ceiling. "I think I saw it around here a while ago. It was sitting by the door. But I think it's gone now though."

Kanai, meanwhile, had gotten into the video room ans was busily looking at the video feeds from the various cameras. She suddenly noticed a small animal walking through the hallway on the fifth floor.

"Yui! Mako's on the fifth floor!" Kanai shouted. She grabbed a walkie talkie and quickly ran for the elevator.

"Right!" Yui nodded as she heard Kanai and turned away from the security guard that hasnt helped her too much. She didnt have the time to wait for the elevator and just started to climb the staircase. She ran as fast as she could,almost tripping herself over ,but not falling to the floor.

"Wait Mako....I'll be with you in a few seconds..."
