Seraph vs Annelle DeSade (Completed)

The crowd was murmuring uncomfortably amongst themselves as they milled around the ring. For some reason, this match didn't feel right. It hadn't even started, but something about this setup just felt...wrong, somehow, to them. It was like they had been invited to watch someone skin a cat alive. There was something dark and inexplicably scary about the atmosphere that just didn't sit well with them.

They had heard it was going to be a no-holds-barred exhibition match involving a newcomer named Seraph. Newcomers weren't bad, but the fact that this girl had been pitted against Annelle DeSade-- quite possibly the most monstrously cruel of all the fighters in Friction-- they all knew that something bad was going to happen.

Collectively shifting in unease, the crowd waited for the first competitor to arrive...

Just as Seraph's eyes closed, the arena went dark.

The crowd knew what was coming next. The creepy tune of "Bela Lugosi's Dead" by Bauhaus began to play in the background. A minute later, the lights came back on, and Annelle was standing right in front of Seraph, staring her down.

"So," the demon girl said dryly, "you came after all."

"Hmn." Annelle crossed her arms as the bell rang, leaving herself defenceless. "Very well, then. Show me how good you are."

There was a flash of movement, and suddenly, Annelle was holding onto Seraph's outstretched arm, her fist mere inches from her opponent's midsection.

"Too slow," Annelle commented, before sending a vicious knee-strike up into Seraph's elbow. If the blow connects, then Annelle will then initiate a hip toss that will turn into a standing armbar.

Annelle didn't bother to reply. Instead, she merely winched the armbar tighter, twisting hard on Seraph's arm with just enough control to keep it from breaking.
