Teddy Cat Hori vs. Valley Doll - The Cat Came Back

Valley continued to stretch on the ropes right up until the bell rang, thinking about the best way to play this. She had to admire Teddy's spirit, even if she didn't much care for the packaging that spirit came in. The woman was back, she wanted to make a big splash and establish herself in the organization. Nothing wrong with that, and she could show the former Angel respect by holding back a little and keeping the pace relatively slow. Give her a match, but don't go overboard. She didn't have to demolish Teddy right out of the gate, and she could give the fans some value for their money.

She started to do a Hail Mary, then decided not to bother with it. No need to get divinity mixed up in this.

"Oh, yeah." She turned around and bounced back and forth on her heels, getting her blood pumped as the bell sounded. Teddy was right there  in the middle of the ring with her arms up, offering a collar-and-elbow. Cute. "Old school works for me."

Valley bounced over and got her arms up as well, going right into the classic test of strength with Teddy. She leaned into the feline fighter and got her legs involved in the effort, trying to push Teddy to the ropes with moderate force.

Once locked up, Teddy found herself already being pushed back hard, forced to take a few steps back. Not surprising, the older blonde clearly seemed disappointed that Teddy Cat had accepted her challenge, and was probably hoping to just plow through her.

"Nya!"

With her tradmark mrow, Teddy planted her feet, pushing back hard against Valley, stopping her momentum and hoping to push her back as well. While she hadn't been known for her strength back in Wrestle Angels, she was hoping to put her new power grappling she had developed to use!

Something was wrong, here. Valley should've been pushing Teddy back towards the ropes. She wasn't the beefiest woman in the AFW by any standard, but she had strong, powerful legs, and she could put some force into a charge. Maybe Teddy had been working out, sure, so Valley could've accepted a bit of a challenge. But this went beyond a challenge - all she managed to get were a few steps. After that, she was the one getting pushed back.

"What-" She growled, letting the disbelief slip out between her teeth. There were quite a few ways she could've turned this situation to her advantage, moves she could've transitioned into while Teddy pushed her, but she shouldn't have needed any of them. She could win this, head on.

Before she knew it, Valley was dangerously close to the ropes, only a couple of feet to go. With so little space left, she put her foot down and redoubled her efforts, coming at Teddy with all the strength she had to offer. Should be enough.

Should.

Teddy's momentum halted, the pink haired Angel with the cat gimmick found herself stopped again, and being forced to step backwards rapidly as Valley pushing harder against her.

She pushed back, stopping Valley a couple times, but each stop only lasted a short while. Teddy might have had new strength, especially in her upper body, despite her lithe appearance, but grappling had a lot to do with the legs, and Valley's legs clearly had more power to them.

Using her smartness, she broke the lock up, quickly turning so she was at Valleys side while wrapping her arm around the blondes head in a tight headlock. Raising her arm, she played to the crowd before...

"Nya! Nya! Nya!"

She yelled, each meow marked by a semi-hard, playful shot to Valley Doll's head!

Okay, this was more like it. Valley was starting to gain some ground. Hard-fought ground, much harder than she expected when battling a woman named Teddy Cat Hori, but she was doing it. From the looks of things, she hadn't been kidding about being stronger than before - Valley's memory of her was fuzzy, but she didn't recall the catgirl having too many stars in the 'Powerhouse' column.

Skill was another factor to deal with, though, and it came into play when Teddy locked her into a tight headlock, transitioning flawlessly into the move. Valley recognized the movements, started to pull away, but her own momentum worked against her and she was trapped before she even had a chance.

"Gah! Hey! Come on!"

She growled with each annoying squeeze, shaking her head as Teddy played to the crowd. Valley immediately focused on trying to escape, doing her best to deal with the bad start she was rapidly sinking into. She began walking to the side, trying to make the hold awkward so an opening might pop. The headlock wasn't so bad by itself, but the key would be to escape before Teddy turned it into something worse...

Teddy struggled, trying to hold Valley in the lock, having to follow her walking to the side to keep the hold in.

"Time for a Cat-Dog-Nya!"

The pink haired girl yelled, before, still holding Valley's head, she ran forward and leaped upwards, trying to drop down and smash Valley's face/chest into the mat with a running bulldog!

It had been a little while since someone hit Valley with a bulldog. Needless to say, she hadn’t missed it.

She cried out for all of one second before her face was planted hard in the middle of the ring, driven down with a surprising amount of weight. She was hurt. Stunned. Dazed. But not so much that she couldn’t hear the crowd and make out how confused they were all sounding. Valley could sympathize. She hadn’t been sure what to expect from Teddy, but she could say it wasn’t this. Not even close.

A moment passed after the impact, before Valley groaned and rolled over to her back, one hand on her aching face and the other on her aching chest. ”What?” She had a few rapid blinks as her brain tried to catch up with reality.

Teddy Cat took note of the surprised tone most of the crowd had. It was too be expected really, she hadn't been around in a while, who would have thought she'd still have it like this?

Not wasting time, Teddy dropped down and covered Valley Doll, lifting her leg to try a fast pin!

1…!”

Valley threw her shoulders up as the referee began to come down for the second count, kicking out harder than she’d ever done in her entire life. It wasn’t just to stay in the match, but to stay in her career - if Teddy Cat Hori managed to get a pin on her after a headlock and a bulldog, she would have to retire on the spot.

Valley tried to roll away and get to her feet, hoping she could shake off the funk before Teddy moved back in.

Valley's kick out surprised no one. The match had only just begun after all, and was nowhere close to being near over, even with a surprise move like the bulldog.

Grabbing Valley's arm, she pulled the Doll up to her feet and whipped her towards the ropes, following after her. When Valley hit the ropes and rebounded, she would find Teddy Cat right in front of her, bringing her knee up to ram it into Valley's midsection when she bounced off the ropes!
