Summer Splash Challenge! Taylor Vs. Adrian: Event 1!

Taylor jaw tightened and she rolled her eyes. "Yeah, okay, Hotshot, if that's what- wait, what?"

She blinked, stunned for a moment by the sudden apology. "Wait, for real? Dude, like... Are you just saying that 'cause you still lost? If you won you'd probably be all rubbing it in my face and shit, right?"

She strode past Adrian and opened her locker to retrieve her faded black, stylishly military-themed jacket. She put it on and zipped it up. It reached only to her waist, just above the line of her glittery, chrome-studded belt. She so frequently wore short shorts or miniskirts that she avoided longer coats entirely. They had a way of covering her bottoms completely and making her look like a flasher, or a stripper on break. In her line of work, she had enough going that would lead one to confuse her with a stripper.

Adrian expected her apology to be brushed off quick and easily by Taylor as she rummaged through her locker for a spare T-shirt and a pink tracksuit, but it actually gave the blonde pause for thought. "Well... kinda, I mean no, I mean it would have probably taken a little while after before I started feeling like an asshole, instead of straight away. But still, I shouldn't have done what I did. Win or lose, I shouldn't have tried messing with mind games and just tried my hardest like I should be trying to do now." the former cosplayer's committal to her new leaf was genuine, but old habits died hard and even though her transgressions were a lot less than they used to be, she was still trying to just think and trick her way around things. Old habits died hard, and thinking subversively was Adrian's oldest habit

"Right," Taylor said, and leaned her back against the lockers. She raised an eyebrow at Adrian's taste in tracksuits.

"Man, we talked about this before. Fuck head games, fuck cheating, and fuck tricks. Earn it yourself, or it's not yours. If you're still thinking about that shit, then man... you're in deep shit." She pushed off the lockers and headed for the door. "I'm gonna beat you, Adrian, you've had it coming for a long time."

She headed out the door, and called back over her shoulder "And I'm going to earn every second of my win."

"I totally will." Adrian mumbled under her breath as Taylor made it for the door. The former cosplayer really didn't have her head in the game yet, and time was running out. The next challenge would be make or break time for her. But she still felt like she owed Taylor for trying to fake her out like she did, but what to do about it?

Well she needed to actually clean up her act, an obstacle course was hard to really cheat at in any way so that would probably help her keep on the straight and narrow, focusing on her path and ignoring Taylor for the most part. But she couldn't let herself have any unfair advantage, and the only one she had was that she got to see the course before Taylor did. Hopefully that would work, pulling out her phone she just had to hope that Taylor knew enough tech or had someone who knew enough tech to receive pictures on her phone.

"Take a look at your DOOOM " title="Razz" />" Was the message sent, with an accompanying picture of the layout of the obstacle course. It wasn't much, but at least it had evened out any potential advantage she could have had.

It took Taylor a moment to figure out what she was looking at. A broad grin spread across her face when she realized what Adrian had done. It would have been nice if she had just done that in the first place instead of doing it to make amends for trying to screw with her, but she'd take it all the same.

She texted back "Cute playground, but wheres the obstacle course??"

The long train ride back home didn't seem very appealing right away. Maybe she'd stay and put in another workout before left... Or maybe she'd go to Akashi and Cassie's and roll with them a little bit. That seemed like a good idea, and she could take a nice long jog there, eat something, and then cause trouble.

That sounded nice. And she wouldn't really mind the sidewalk attention along the way.
