Lorenza had been taking a lot of damage, but she had been dealing out much more to her Japanese opponent, and that was what counted. Dealing out more damage than you took meant you won, and right now, Lorenza was winning. Without a doubt.

Lorenzaâ€s attempt to bring her opponent down to the mat was slightly miscalculated, however. Her opponent managed to avoid the punch to the abdomen and the headbutt, and then wrapped her arms around Lorenza to bring her down onto the mat. Lorenza grunted as her opponentâ€s legs found her waist, wrapping around it and beginning to squeeze her in a relatively mild, but still painful, scissor hold. Lorenza grunted.

“Iâ€m no girl, chica. Iâ€m ten years older than you, and Iâ€ve been in dozens of fights. I was fighting on the streets before you were even born. Who cares if itâ€s my first match here, eh? Compared to me, youâ€re just a rookie. A rookie at fighting. A rookie at life.”

The scissor hold was tight, but it did not restrict Lorenzaâ€s arms. The Mexican boxer threw a hard combination of lightning-fast jabs right into Toshikoâ€s face, trying to crush her nose and force her off and onto her side.
