Thanks, and Rule Breaking

Some of you know that I've been dealing with some tough stuff lately. Several months ago my estranged mom showed up and told me a lot of lies about a lot of things, including about how sick she was. Two weeks ago, she passed away. I think she showed up when she did because she wanted help, which is why she specifically came to me. I don't know if I helped her. It'll be a while before I'm ready to really figure out how I feel about this, so I'm going to let it sit for a while. For now, I'm okay.

My point is, this weird little website has been a big help to me, with certain people who help to brighten my day and help me escape real life for a while. To those people, thank you, just for being yourselves. To the people who have made AFW more hostile for me, no hard feelings. I wouldn't appreciate it if people who didn't like me pretended to be nice out of pity.

That's all. Thanksgiving is coming up, so this seemed appropriate, even if it is bending the rules a bit.

I guess, if I have a point other than just talking about my own personal shit, it's that you never know how much of an impact what you say and do has on people. It's a daunting responsibility when you think about it like that.
