Hardcore Bird Match: Deathbird vs. Anja the Raven

Her kick went straight into mid air, and she had a hard time sopping before crashing into the ropes and barely managed to stay on her feet.
"Already dodging? We have barely started."
She told the audience with a cold voice as she was still looking at the crowd. Then she turned around to run at Deathbird again to perform a Jumping Leg Lariat to her, howling manically as she approached her.

As Deathbird quickly dodged the kick to let Anja crash into the ropes, she would respond, "Oh, I know we just started. I just don't want the show to end so soon. Don't worry, we'll make this a match that no one will soon forget."

Deathbird then saw Anja rushing forward to perform a Jumping Leg Lariat. The leg was aimed for the head and it can definitely be brutal. So, she would attempt to block herself from the attack, although it can only mean getting a hard hit on the arms and her stepping back in trying to recover. "AAAHH!"

"Oh, now that's really nice of you then."
The Blonde smirked goofily. It was kind of funny to have an opponent on the run who was still talking smack while her ass got kicked.

Much less funny was the fact that her Leg Lariat was blocked and she lost her balance, crashing to the ground unhindered and in the full grip of gravity, hitting hard on the mat.
"Ooww!!"
She huffed as she hit the ground at the end of her unexpected journey.

Deathbird's arms hurt from the blocking, but on the bright side it did get Anja hitting the ground hard in the end. With an evil smirk on her face, she would say, "I belive it is time to clip some feathers from the raven's wings." With that, she would head over to her opponent to pull off her next move.

If Anja was on her back, then Deathbird would attempt to put her own legs across at the top and bottom of her head and grab her arm to extend it to perform and armbar. If the raven was on her stomach however, then she would go behind her and grab one of her arms for an armlock.

Her hitting and kicking streak came to an abrupt end as she felt herself subjected to an armbar of her opponent. She grimaced and put a hand an one of the legs of Deathbird in reflex, although she knew very well that she had no chance to break a leghold with just one arm.
"...Uuhh...that's better, jelly arms."
She taunted her opponent with an angry but intrigued voice, although the pain in her arm was quite impressive.

Hearing Anja taunting her, Deathbird would taunt back, "Keep laughing, punk! I can do this longer than you think." She would keep up her submission on her opponent's arm and hold her down for as long as she can. After several grueling minutes of facing Anja's hitting and kicking streak, she now has the upper hand.

Deathbird then asked in a threatening tone, "Do you give up, little raven? Or should I break your wing in half?" In one minute if Anja doesn't submit, she would release her from the armbar.

Anja thrashed around in the grip of her opponent, supporting her arm with all the power available to her. Armbars were generally much more dangerous than their use suggested.
"Keep dreaming."
The Blonde was really stressed in the hold, but she was far from giving up. Did that made her a little corny, in a kind of *never give up* style? Yes, of course. But it was her primary attribute, enduring pain.

And she was not willing to just lie there and get dragged around in an armbar, so the nails of her free arm dug into the softer parts of the leg of her opponent.

"Says you." Deathbird would chuckle as she continued her armbar. Anja was thrashing about and it made her submission a little tougher to hold now. She was impressed though by her determination to not give up yet, for this match was far from over. Then, Anja used her free arm as a possible way to escape when Deathbird least suspects it.

"AAAAHHOWW!" Deathbird screamed out as she felt the raven's nails dug into her leg. She immediately released Anja from the submission and rolled back to hold her hurt leg and try to relieve it from the pain.

"That's kind of fun playing with you. Such a little scratch makes the blood circle around, good for regeneration.
Anja was grimly smiling while getting up, shacking her arm before clenching the fist of her hurt arm again. This would probably hurt even more the next day, but for now it was a delicious reminder of the things who were still about to come.

She would try to close in, make a sidestep and tried to grab her opponent around the torso to deliver an Irish curse Backbreaker to Deathbird.

"I'm glad you're learning from the best." replied Songbird as she would get up from her position after that scratch on her leg. She would try to get back in her fighting stance, but Anja already got another thing coming for her as made a sidestep and grabbed her around the torso.

"GAAARGH!" cried out Deathbird as the Irish Curse Backbreaker did its toll and brought pain onto her side and a bit of her back with a thud. Clenching her teeth, she wanted to retaliate by attempting to do a spinning ground kick to hit the side of Anja's leg or trip her.
