Serena Light vs Claire O'Doherty

Serena who rebounded off the ropes was forcefully shoved towards her opponent. She was in no position to guard due to the momentum forced upon her by the ropes. One left hook connected with her face. She winced as it hit home and shut her eyes for a brief second, but the moment she opens her eyes, she see's an uppercut coming her way. She looks down and tries to block it, but she is too slow.

"Warh!!" She screams as the uppercut smashes into her face. The impact forces both her saliva and mouthpiece to shoot up into the air as she is lifted off the ground for a brief second before her back hits the ground.

The referee seeing that she is down quickly runs over and tells Clare to return to her corner. She than starts the countdown. "1--2--"

Clare had done it. Her opponent showed she was quite capable, and it was no small achievement to get her down. Still, she felt excited with her opponent slipping to the canvas. The last uppercut had sent a pleasing shockwave up her arm. Eventually, she took the refs cue to take her corner and complied. From there, she would lean against the corner post and wait to see if her opponent had had enough already. Clare tried to admire her work, but spent more time admiring her downed opponent. Now there was only the count, 10 mere seconds. She wondered if her opponent would climb to her feet in time.

"3--4--" At the count of four, there was a stirring as Serena let out a painful moan. She slowly rolled over so as to try to get to the ropes. "--5--" By the count of five, she barely manages to graps onto the ropes. She starts to then pull herself up. "--6--" And by the count of seven, she managed to get back up to her feet. The referee asks if she could continue and she says yes. Although that said, her feet is still shaking.

When the ref sees that she is capable of fighting she backs away and yells fight. "BOX ON!!"

The match once again resumes Serena not wanting to take the intiative crouches down and tries to cover herself.

Clare watched eagerly, the possibility of an early knock out had crossed her mind, until Serena began to move. Clare realized she wasn't lending the girl enough credit, she was visibly a bit shaken, but still wanted to fight. Clare wondered if Serena would have been worn down from the knock down.
"BOX ON!"
She was quickly snapped out of thoughts, and back to the present, for this fight. She raised her guard, expecting Serena to be a bit desperate and launch an attack. She was smarter than that, though she didn't seem as quick on her feet, so she was still in danger. Clare came in behind two hard right jabs, unsure if she'd even break through Serena's guard. They served mostly as a distraction for a hard left to Serena's ribs. Clare was feeling fairly good, and she saw no real reason to let up.

Serena still a bit exhausted from the knockdown decided to let Claire take the first move. She sees the two jabs coming closer and quickly raises her guard to block it. She manages to do so with ease. Than came the strike towards her ribs. Immediately she becomes angry again as she sudden throws a hard heavy right straight fist straight towards Claire's face to intercept it. She wanted to smash her fist straight into her face with enough power to knock her out.

"Enough with punching my stomach!!" She would angrily call out as she did so.

Clare's punch was coming in hard and quick, but that only came with concentration. She was oblivious to the powerful right that came smashing into her face. It hit home and Clare stumbled, rocking every which way on her feet. She was in shock by the sudden strength her opponent showed. She was desperate to stay on her feet, to regain energy. She did what she could, to embrace Serena in a clinch, trying to spare herself for now, most of her body weight was dependent on Serena however. She needed to shake off the effects of the punch. It was unnecessarily hard, and it was clear now that it was thrown in anger. Clare was confused at her opponents anger, she knew she'd be boxing ineffectively if she complied though, so she had no intention of listening to Serena. Still, if she was able to punch this hard when she was mad, she was dangerous.

Clare wouldn't be able to utter a reply yet, she'd try to keep Serena tied up until the ref broke them apart, and shake the cobwebs from her head.

Serena having scored the first hit, was not going to let up. She was going to pulvurize Claire for that make no mistake. When she saw Claire's desperation on staying on her feet, she could easily see Claire's next move. And as predicted, her next move was a cinch. She easily saw the cinch coming and cocked her right hand backwards so that the moment she was cinched, she would throw a heavy right punch towards her stomach. If that wasn't enough, she would keep throwing one punch after another before she was done.

From the way things stood, Serena estimated she would be able to score 3 body punches or so before they broke up.

Clare was shocked by the sudden strength, speed and aggression her opponent had. It was quite clear that there was intent to harm her at this rate. The initial punch had been the one that dazed her, the right to the stomach was enough to convince her to let go. Clare shoved off of her opponent, but still didn't have her footing from the powerful left, which had given her some nasty bruising already. As Clare tumbled backwards, she lost her footing somewhere in the center of the ring. She landed on her back, eyes closed for the moment. "1....... 2....."
the first two parts of the count had gone by, and she began to stir, her face ached, but the intent to kill punches left a sour taste in her mouth. This wasn't to remain a friendly competition, it was a fight now. Clare was very much awake, and all to eager to get up and give Serena the thrashing of her life.

"For the way you fought earlier on, I'm going to give you the beat down of your life. I hope you know a good doctor, because your going to need it once I'm through with you." Serena stated to Claire as she looked over her from her corner. She was going to make do with her threats. Those punches of Claire were effective indeed, but it didn't feel like Claire was taking her seriously by doing the same thing over and over again.

For now she simply watched as Claire struggled to her feet. At the moment 4 seconds or so had gone passed, and she was waiting for her to get up. While she was a masochist, she was by no means a girl who would just stay still and take her beating like she was told.

Clare heard the talk, it was cheap, and she was irked. As the five count came in, Clare stood, she decided she'd add to Serena's anger, she'd get sloppy that way. She simply smirked. "You aren't going to get far with those words, lass. But talk while you can, it won't save you from getting knocked out." Clare had taken Serena seriously, the reason she had used the same attacks, as it was a great help in wearing an opponent down. "Bitch." she added at the end, as the ref would back away at the signal that Clare could and very much would continue. Now would be the time to show off, frustrate Serena a bit by using her superior footwork and slipping as many punches as she could.

Clare waited until they were told to begin, smile still on her face, she danced directly forward, but suddenly strafed to the side when she got in striking range, trying to open up this exchange with a hard left straight. If that landed, she'd tear away at Serena's body again with a sledge hammer right-left combo. Unaware of her masochistic nature, Clare planned on ending this fight with Serena's pain, now that things had gotten a bit more bitter between them. She was very much ready to crush Serena's confidence, it would make the fight easier on Clare, who at this rate was nearly as angry as Serena.
