Haruka Tenou vs Kyo Akamatsu

After a while of rolling on the mat, Kyo slowly but surely got to his knees. He had no idea why Haruka wasn't attacking him while he was on the ground, where he had been especially vulnerable. Maybe she was holding back out of some sense of respect or honour, he thought. Either way, his jaw was now throbbing like hell.

As he knelt upright, however, Haruka pressed the attack again. Her fist slammed against his face-- once, twice thrice, each blow causing his jaw to hurt more. His head snapped sideways, leaving him vulnerable to a kick to his ribs that caused him to grunt loudly, sending him toppling over onto his hands and knees. Another kick caused him to wince, immobilizing him as he clutched his hurting ribs. "D-dammit...." he breathed through clenched teeth.

Haruka for her part usually preferred striking when it came to male opponents.

However this time when Kyo went down she would step over him and try to secure one of his arms, bending it straight up in an armbar. She would be positioned above him with her legs on either side of him like guardian pillars trying to fence him in.

"AAARGH!" Kyo cried as his arm was suddenly wrenched back forcefully. His shoulder socket burned as Haruka wrenched back on his arm, causing him to press his forehead against the mat as he clenched his teeth together and tried to withstand the pain.

Taking a deep breath, Kyo focused, keeping calm even as Haruka wrenched his arm. With Haruka standing over him, he suddenly sensed an opportunity, and suddenly twisted his body forward sharply, trying to get onto his back and unbalance Haruka enough to topple her onto her front. If this was successful, he would try to roll behind her and grab at one of her ankles to twist her lower leg behind her thigh. If it failed, however, then he would be in a MUCH worse position than before.

Haruka gasped as Kyo's sudden movement did make her stumble ad ose the hold.

"Shit!"

She was then take to the ground and Kyo would be able to grab her ankle. If Haruka had been beaten enough Kyo may have been able to lock in a decent submission hold. However Haruka would turn a bit to glare back at Kyo defiantly and quickly used her free foot to kick away at Kyo's face to try and get him off her.

Before Kyo could lock in a submission hold (he had been aiming for a pretzel hold or modified camel clutch), Haruka's boot thudded in against his head. Grunting loudly, Kyo was sent rolling onto his back. Fighting through the dizziness that now hazed his vision, he rolled backwards, getting back to his feet as he eyed Haruka warily. He had taken some damage from her since his failed pinfall attempt, but he wasn't out of the fight yet.

Haruka would start to get a little reckless and she let out an angry shout and lunged at Kyo for a lock up.

Kyo was a little surprised as Haruka suddenly yelled and lunged at him aggressively, locking up with him. His instincts quickly took over, however, and he pushed back against her. The two of them twisted and grappled, Kyo straining against Haruka as he felt her warm breath on his neck. The initial surprise of Haruka's lockup, however, meant that he had been forced back quite a bit.

That, however, was the moment Kyo had been waiting for. Holding his breath, Kyo twisted at the last moment, reversing them and pushing Haruka against the ropes, before lifting a knee sharply into her bronze midsection.

Haruka would try to resist but Kyo had a slight strength advanatge and would be able to push Haruka against the ropes. As Haruka tried to resist and push back, she ended up taking the knee to the midsection which doubled her over with another grunt.

As Haruka doubled over, Kyo didn't give her time to catch her breath. Grabbing her head and pulling her upright, Kyo twisted and dropped suddenly down to his knees, aiming to get a measure of revenge by slamming Haruka down, jaw-first, against his shoulder.

Haruka nailed by the jawbreaker and went down on the ground flopping about quite convincingly and was soon rlling over on her chest and raised her head slightly while massaging her jaw.
