As a first outing for this rebooted account, I'd like to engage some opponent in a matroom, or something equivalent, with a focus on BJJ, Catch Wrestling, MMA, etc. It can range from actual training (preferably of the character I play but I can do yours even if I'd like further teaching for BJJ.) to an extreme match. That's only because Namco took the franchise to an almost exclusive home market. If you put out a fighting game that hasn't even been field tested at the arcade, then you'll most likely end up with garbage. Sure it's fun, has pretty graphics and lots of modes to play with, but the overall gameplay is a mess.
Just look at what Namco did with SC3: Arcade Edition. They need to do that with SC4 as well.

to my memory, there were only 3 or 4 fighting games that i actually enjoyed for more than a playthrough or two. I blame lame characters/story concepts, especially Street Figther because there's only so many reasons that you can have people in a "LOL TORNAMINT!" game
Guilt Gear was so insane it's hard to dislike
Smash Brothers is half platformer and so chaotic it's amazing. still play it to this day
Rumble Roses DOA on 360 was decent, though admittedly half for the looks/tna of it

I used to play Guilty Gears on the PC, God I hated I-No, it took me 50 tries to actually beat her the first round...
Smash Brothers I should start playing again, lol. Used to be very good with it but meh... When Gears of War 2 came I bought it and totally ignored Smash Bros Brawl.

who was that gu with the paper bag over his head? man his characters was funnay! I tried to dress up as him one time at a party. the paper bag itself was easy to find but I had to compensate and find something long for a scaple. good times.
