Maya VS. Momoko (archived)

(Actually that was a knee.)

(OOC: Oh. Didn't notice the knee part. *bops head* Let me fix that. I'll delete the earlier post.)

The way Momoko was hunched over while storming forward meant she took Maya's sharp knee in her side instead of her jaw. That blow staggered her so that she didn't tackle Maya as hard as she planned. But tackle Maya she still did, putting her weight and weakened momentum into dropping Maya onto the girl's back, Momoko trying to wrap her arms around Maya's waist while her legs clumsily trapped Maya's injured leg in between them, the sumo girl trying to go for the last thing one expected out of her: a ground submission bear hug.

Maya was tackled knowing that this was going to be bad for her as she went back, but she had one thing that Momoko didn't think of. her leg that she had used to propel herself had come up so as Momoko landed on her Mayas knee would slam right into her ribs.

The gasping Momoko curled upon Maya's knee. That surprise attack had hurt. All she could do right now was cling to Maya, trying to regain her breath, hoping that getting all tangled up with her opponent would protect her for the moment...

Maya wished nothing more than just to lay there with her opponent and rest even if she was entangled. Though she knew that she now had a chance to finally end this or at least start some momentum. She used what strength she had to roll her opponent over with her entangled legs and all. She then lifted her knee that had just hit her and slammed it right back down. Though instead of just one hit she was going for two bringing her hands up clasping them together before slamming down as hard she could at her opponents head.

Momoko couldn't stop the roll and ended up on her back with Maya on top of her. She grunted sharply as Maya kneed her again. Ugh, she thought, This isn't good...

She managed to block Maya's point-blank Polish hammer, but her arms were driven hard into her forehead. She winced and tried to strike back with a hard palm strike at Maya's jaw, but her blow lacked the speed and power she usually put in it. She was in serious trouble...

Maya noticed that Momoko was slowing down able to avoid her palm thrust for once. She quickly took a hold of her opponents arm before she could bring it back and put it under her own arm to hold it there. She knew it was all or nothing right here,with everything she had she began repeatedly slamming her knee into her opponent. She would also send down one more strike with her free hand to keep her opponent from using her other hand.

Momoko gasped sharply now as Maya's knees slammed into her over and over again. One arm immobilized, then the other, trapped in a grapple on the ground...

She grabbed at Maya's attacking knee with her free hand, trying to hold it against her body so it couldn't be used to attack her. Her still-strong legs, she used to squeeze Maya's injured leg. Momoko would try to endure the punishment Maya was dishing out, try to wring a victory or at least a stalemate out of Maya's leg.

Maya bit her lip in pain as her opponent squeezed her injured leg she knew she couldn't keep this up for much longer it was just to painful. She then thought of another idea seeing as her opponent was now keeping her knee from wreaking havoc. She started to lean her upper body up and back stretching out her opponents trapped arm. She then quickly placed her other hand at her opponents elbow. With that she leaned back hard while pushing up on the elbow bending her arm up and back for a submission.

A hiss of pain escaped Momoko's gritted teeth as Maya strongly tugged at her arm. The sumo girl felt like she was caught in one of Yatori's painful entanglements. Should I have let her knee me instead of this? Grappling was really no place for her!

Momoko grimly tightened her legs around Maya's injured leg, gambling the match on the assumption that her less-battered arm could hold out longer than Maya's leg. They were both courting serious injury this way, but...

As a Hanayama, I cannot lose like this...
