Claire vs Taylor

"La Boulette", by Diam's, boomed off the loudspeakers as Claire Eziyar ran down the ramp. She had a look of enthusiasm on her face, having just obtained her first victory in the league. She'd heard she had been chosen to fight against an incredibly strong opponent that night, and she was all the more hyped up because of that.

Claire jumped under the bottom rope and got to the ring. She awaited her opponent, wondering what she would look like. She could hear some voices calling her name among the crowd; perhaps she had already got her first fans. She would not disappoint them tonight, either.

Tear's beautiful voice started to sound on the loudspeakers. This time however, it was accompanied by Taylor's voice, which sounded a lot like the real singer. The blonde woman came out of the backstage with both of her hands on her chest, her eyes closed as she walked down the ramp, the crowd cheering wildly for her. After all, she hasnt lost a single match in the league, and it didnt seem like she'd tonight. But who knows, Claire might be one hell of an opponent.

Taylor climbed into the ring using the stairs and then slipped through the top and mid rope, heading straight towards her corner, turning her head for just a second to look at her opponent. After that, she stood right in front of her corner, staring at Claire from across the ring and waiting for the match to begin.

Claire watched Taylor walk down the ramp as she sang melodically, appreciating and even envying a bit her muscal prowess. She was impressed by the performance, and if Taylor could fight as well as she sang, then she was surely an incredible woman.

When Taylor got inside the ring, Claire left her own corner and walked a few steps forward. She said, "Nice singing", but it seemed that her opponent was not of the talkative kind. "I'm Claire. Before we fight, may I know your name?" As she finished the sentence, the bell rang, but she didn't go forward to attack Taylor; she simply went into her stance, shifting her body slightly to the side while still facing Taylor. She would wait for her to answer and come closer before starting to fight.

Taylor lifted her head slowly and looked right into Claire's eyes. "M-My name is... Taylor." She shily introduced herself. She wasnt really used to introduce herself before a fight, but Claire was nice to enough to be worth of hearing her name. Even though the bell had already rang, Taylor didnt attack right away. First, she wanted to say something.

"N-Nice to meet you... Claire." She answered to her opponent. After that, she'd bring her arms up and plant one foot in front of the other. "Let's have a good fight!" She was definitely ready to begin, however, she'd allow Claire to go for the first move. She'd like to see just how strong, fast and smart her opponent was before attacking.

"It's good to meet you too." Claire answered back. She then nodded as she heard Taylor's last sentence. It was time to start what they had come to do. "Don't hold back!" She moved slowly towards Taylor, analyzing her stance as she got closer. It seemed very solid, further suggesting that Taylor was experienced at fighting, but Claire needed a more definite test to be sure. When Taylor got into range, she sent a quick kick to her side. Claire didn't think it would hit Taylor head-on, but she wanted to see how her opponent reacted to it.

Taylor nodded her head "Hai!" She replied to her opponent, her expression changing a bit, turning a little more confident. Ready to begin, the angel took a few steps forward, not intending to attack, but to make the distance between her and Claire shorter. Allowing her opponent's kick to connect with her side, the blonde woman'd have the chance to perform an attack of her own. She'd charge her arm back and then throw a not-so-strong palm strike to Claire's chin.

"Unnnhh~!" She complained as the kick landed perfectly on her side, but then it was time to see if her palm strike connected.

"Wha...?" There was no defensive reaction to Claire's kick, and this surprised the white-haired fighter quite a bit. Her thoughts were cut short, however, by the sight of Taylor rearing a hand. As her foot had just landed on the mat, she didn't have the opportunity to properly counter the blow when it came, instead putting her arm before her face so that the palm would hit the forearm instead. Still, the impact plus her unsteady stance made her step back once. Going back into the offensive, Claire stepped closer to Taylor again, this time sending a quick punch towards her forehead.

Taylor growled as her palm strike didnt get to land where she wanted it to, but as her opponent came closer to her again, she came up with something else. As Claire's fist approached to her forehead, the blonde woman'd duck and extend one of her legs, swinging it around like one of the clock's arms, performing an awesome leg-sweep she hoped would connect with her opponent's calf and knock her off balance.

In one moment, Claire was about to hit Taylor's forehead; in another, she was falling to the mat. As she went down, the first thought that flickered through her mind was, obviously, surprise; then there was excitement, because she knew Taylor had to be a top fighter to catch her off-guard in such a fashion; finally, the pain came, spreading over her back as she hit the mat. Stunned, she would stay face-up on the mat for a second or two; if Taylor didn't attack, however, she would recover soon and get up again.

Taylor was waay too much of a 'goodie' to attack a downed opponent. Instead of attacking, the blonde woman used the time to hop back to her feet and step away from her opponent, giving her both time and space to recover completely. "I must say, your skills are very impressive." She admitted, smiling at Claire. This was probably the very first time she was enjoying a match. Why? Well... just because she was having fun! Her opponent looked like a very nice person, so she was finally able to fight for fun.
