Nekketsu Title Match: Ryan Knight (C) vs Otoha Okiura

Match Rules: Standard

This was it. The second bout of Ryan's run as Nekketsu Champion, the belt was to always be defended anytime the champ would be present in a match. Hence why Ryan set it up as an open challenge, if you were brave enough to take the shot at the target on his back then you were brave enough to get it painted on your back in kind. So the newcomer Otoha stepping up being willing to face the Paragon was impressive in his mind, now to see if she'd be able to indeed 'Surpass The Paragon!' or not.

The champ had handed the title to the referee, who would then heft up the title belt as an announcer came close and shouted aloud on their microphone with "Ladies and gentlemen the following bout is scheduled for one fall. And it is for The Nekketsu Championship!" she then went to speak with "Introducing first the challenger. From Japan, she is The Rookie Savant, Otohhaaaaaaaaaaaa Oooooooookiuuuuraaaaaaaa!!!!!!" then after a short pause to let the crowd applaud and let the wrestler have a spot in the limelight there.

Then the announcer would go on with "And introducing the opponent! From London, England. He is the defending Nekketsu Champion, he is The Paragon! Ryyyyyyannnnnnnnnnnn Kniiiiightttttttttttttttt!" with Ryan calmly raising his right hand upwards to the sky as the crowd cheered and roared in a loud approval. After this the ref would place the belt outside the ring and confirm to the wrestlers that both were ready, Ryan merely gave a nod to this and entered his wrestling stance. His muscles tensed and poised as he prepared to lay it all on the line here tonight against this newcomer, it was time to prove herself to the world and see if she could take his title!

Despite the ravenous roaring of the crowd filling the arena, Otoha didn't seem to notice they were there. All she could focus on was the goal in front of her- The Paragon himself. He was certainly an daunting man to face as an opponent, as fair as he is... But she felt ready. This was what she was born to do- And she was deadset on proving it tonight!

As the announcer called her name, she raised her fist up in a show of confidence- Her gaze not moving an inch away from Ryan. She deeply inhaled as her fist dropped, taking a moment to fidget with her fingerless gloves, as she waited for Ryan's Introduction to conclude. As he prepared his fighting stance, Otoha did the same- Raising her hands in front of her and planting her feet to the mat. She nodded to Ryan, and slowly started to circle around the ring with him- This was it...

It was go time here in the squared circle and Ryan knew that himself and Otoha would be placing it all on the line here tonight for themselves, the Paragon steeled himself outward and inward as best he could. Yet even the so called renowned Bright stiff upper lip couldn't help Ryan in containing the growing smile of anticipation and excitement here, Ryan assessed his opponent.

She looked confident and clearly it wasn't her first rodeo at least, he knew nothing about her style of fighting however. The height and strength edge was going to him clearly but Ryan wondered if she might have some hidden moves tucked away in those non existent sleeves of hers. Still there was no time like the present Ryan reasoned! He'd follow Otoha in their shuffling around of the ring, till Ryan ended on the opposite corner of where he started.

Then Ryan's head would dip down low and he entered into a primal stance there as he would make to suddenly bolt right at Otoha, the Paragon sought to test how she'd react if he simply tried to run right at her with a heavy right arm bicep clad clothesline attempt to see what might make her tick!

Otoha wanted Ryan to make the first move- She knew acting too rashly against a veteran like him would be a disaster. So when he finally decided to make the first move and lunge forward, her whole body tensed in anticipation, letting him get close...

Before ducking underneath his arm and letting him sail past her, quickly stepping forward and turning to face him again! Once he turned around, she would clench her fist tightly and rocket a stiff forearm right for his chest- She wanted to prove to him she wasn't all talk!

The match was now underway and Ryan was as always keen to press himself in the match, he came right at Otoha with the force of a country behind his bicep there. But it wasn't an attack that was only aimed at causing damage, no it was to try and gauge her reactions to it. Still Ryan would be surprised there at Otoha managing to dodge his clothesline, then again he did telegraph himself a fair bit he supposed. He stopped moving as best he could and lowered his arm, turning to face the newcomer and got tagged with a forearm right to his chest.

"Guh!" Ryan grunted as he was tagged, his abs and pecs were no joke. The Paragon took great pride in his masterfully crafted armour, Otoha would find that Ryan staggered a little there. After all his chest was one of the strongest around, the champ would try to return the favour in kind by trying to deliver a couple of knife edge chops to Otoha's solar plexus and show that this royalty of the ring could dish out a few backhanded retorts to the newcomer there!

The solid THWACK of Otoha's forearm blasting Ryan in the chest brought a wave pf satisfaction to the rookie, letting out a huff as she retracted her arm with a shake. As strong as the strike was however, she could tell his chest was far too broad for it to leave any lasting damage- Moreso, it was just a way to test her strength against the mighty Paragon!

And she sees another opportunity as Ryan rears his arm back - Wanting to show that she could take it as well as dish it out, she puffed her chest out, leaving it wide open for her opponent to--

SNAP

"Ngh--!" Perhaps caught up in the rush of starting things off, Otoha got a little ahead of herself. The sound of Ryan's hand smacking into the savant's chest was akin to a gunshot as she gasped and immediately reached up to clutch the point he struck! With a grimace she staggered back slightly- Thank the lord she at least had the tiniest bit of protection with her leotard covering her chest...

Ryan knew this wasn't something that he was known for, in fact his Mother Florence was usually known for her knife edge chop. But he'd taken dozens of them in the ring during his time in the squared circle, enough to apply it himself there. The crowd certainly heard the strike go right up against Otoha's leotard clad frame there and all involved save for the Paragon oughta consider themselves lucky!

If his was a gunshot then Florence's was like a cannon going off, but it served its purpose well and let Ryan establish that he could throw some hands too if he wished it even if he did flick his wrist after it. The Paragon wasn't gonna stop there though, he would then attempt to grab Otoha there and try to Irish Whip the challenger of his title across the ring and then heft up his mighty steed left leg up to try and nail her with a big boot attempt on the rebound! Time to see if she could roll with the chop cause if she didn't then Otoha might just be getting.......das boot!

Otoha grit her teeth as Ryan snatched her wrist and whipped her to the ropes, leaving her no choice but to run right at them and rebound back. She wasn't about to sit and let the Paragon however- As Ryan heaved his massive boot up, the Prodigy ducked her head down and blew right by him! She then leaped up and flipped forward, landing in a handstand and letting her body ricochet off the ropes as she flips back in a textbook handspring- And sends a textbook elbow straight for the Paragon's head!

Alright Ryan knew that if Otoha got hit by this then the Paragon would be solidly dominating in the bout, also it would indicate to him that perhaps her weak spot in her gameplan. The lad was best known as a well developed grappler mainly with some submissions tucked up his sleeves, but he like any good lad from the cold wintery united kingdom could throw a hand or two in a bout. Still it seemed he'd come up short in that exchange there as his big boot caught nothing but oxygen with Ryan clicking his tongue.

Only to then regret his decisions as he'd come face to elbow with Otoha's sudden and swift strike clocking him clean on the head! The Paragon would spin and stumble backwards there and make some vague shadowboxing gestured as he was reeling from the hit, only to then think lesser of it and would fall down onto his backside in a prone position. Ryan's jaw was clocked clean there and while he had one of the stiffest upper lips you'd find in Tension that blow still rocked his world there!

Otoha lands on her back with a thud, and she kips back up t her feet just as Ryan topples over, sparing a moment to pump her fist as the audience lets out an impressed cheer! She was determined to prove she can hang with the best that Tension has to offer- And while she lacked the Paragon's brute strength and experience, she had plenty of explosive power and lightning-quick reflexes!

Wanting to stay on top as much as possible, she figures it best to wear down Ryan while he still has plenty of energy. Otoha quickly moves over to his legs and lifts them up by his ankles, one in each hand- If he doesn't retaliate quick enough, she'll cross them around her own legs and fall back, looking to strain his legs with a figure four lock!
