Of Swords and Supermodels: Ami Takeuchi vs Kyo Akamatsu

Kyo gasped as he narrowly managed to get a shoulder up, narrowly breaking the pin count. Ami was definitely living up to her reputation as a previous Tension champion: the willowy model was far more skilled than she allowed herself to appear, and he was starting to realize that, if nothing else, she was definitely a lot faster than she was-- a fact that she had been using to her advantage with all of her high flying moves. He needed to do more to ground her and take away her speed advantage.

Ami, however, had other ideas, seemingly not wanting to give Kyo time to recover. He gasped as he was pulled up into a sitting position...and then he felt Ami's legs clamping around his strong core from behind. He gasped...and then gasped further as his arms were trapped, and his head was bent back painfully under Ami's arm. Before he knew he, Kyo was trapped in a grounded dragon sleeper, his air circulation cut off even as Ami crushed his torso and wrenched his head back painfully.

He felt himself going red from a lack of air as he thrashed and flailed in Ami's grip; his flailing became even more frantic as he felt Ami teasingly lick his ear. The lack of air and the pain of the hold was becoming unbearable, but Kyo wasn't defenceless: pressing his boots against the mat, he pushed back, trying to force the two of them backwards and get Ami's back against the mat, hoping to press her shoulders down and force a pin in the hopes that it would make Ami release him!

The supermodel was not all just good lucks, she could beat anyone on her day including someone as talented as Kyo. Despite all his muscle and in-ring experience, she had something he did not which was the illustrious Tension champion at one point in time. She was going to show what it meant to underestimate her and this was the perfect chance to do so.

Kyo was seated on his ass, allowing Ami to sneak in from behind to trap him in a body scissor and dragon sleeper submission. She would lay on her back, draping his back over her front while she continued to squeeze the life out of him, even teasing him playfully. Finally, there was silence and perhaps it was just a few moments before he would tap or simply be knocked out by her beauty and skill.

"Oh my, what's wrong? Did I knock you out with my devilishly good looks and natural talent?" she mocked when suddenly he pushed up on his feet, making her lay flat with her shoulders pinned to the mat. The referee got to the count of TWO before she pressed her knees against his back and shoved him off.

"H-how dare you! You sneaky little...." she said, furious that Kyo would think he could pull a fast one on her. The male was still the worse off from that exchange and Ami would look to follow up by trying a quick springboard moonsault on top of him if he was slow to get back up.

Kyo's neck and upper back were burning after being put in Ami's excruciating hold. It took a lot of effort on his part to arch the two of them backwards-- but all the same, manage he did, just managing to get Ami's shoulders on the mat. He heard the supermodel give a startled yelp, and then suddenly he was free; his waist and neck were incredibly after that hold, but he was free now all the same.

Groaning, he rolled onto his back, forcing an eye open--

--and saw Ami launching herself at him in a moonsault, her lithe body describing a graceful arc through the air. Cursing, Kyo tried to roll aside, hoping to dodge the blow and leave Ami flat-footed...though he knew that if he failed, then he was going to be left stunned on the mat, open to whatever follow up Ami had planned next...

While the supermodel enjoyed her dominance against one of the best wrestlers in Tension, she did not expect him to pull off such a cheeky pinfall attempt. However, Ami was still not going to be fooled by such an attempt. Ami would then push off her opponent before getting back up to he feet.

She would steady herself before looking to attempt a standing moonsault, looking to come crashing down on top of her opponent but Kyo managed to roll out of the way at the last moment as Ami crash landed onto her abdomen on the ring mats. "Owwwww" she cried in pain, holding her belly while pushing up to a seated position.

Kyo heard a crash behind him as Ami collided violently with the mat. That had been a lucky break, he knew; he had no idea if he would get many more. Rolling up to his feet, he took a deep and strode towards Ami, who was propping herself up into a sitting position. Wordlessly, he would grab her by the head and pull her upright, sliding one arm around her head and another around her thigh.

If all went according to plan, Kyo would try to hoist Ami up over his shoulder, before sitting down abruptly, aiming to nail her with a sitout powerbomb!
