Rebecca Blackburn vs. The Unrightable Wrongs.

With the might of a hammer, yet swiftness of a sword, Rebeccas kick impacted the robotic woman with a powerful unrelenting fury! While kicks weren’t her speciality, she was still experienced in kickboxing and as such she was expecting the stoic woman to fall…yet the most she got out of her was a stumble. ‘H-how is she this strong…that normally knocks people into the canvas…’ Rebecca quickly thought to herself before unleashing a powerful haymaker towards her head!

WHAM!

A loud blow emanated from the impact of her punch towards her opponent, an audible grunt assured her that it would’ve been lights out…and yet all her effort earned her a mere stumble and a refocused foe. Panting ever so slightly, Rebecca also refocused yet she was clearly a bit peeved that her opponent was still standing as if nothing had happened. ‘The punch connected…she reacted…but damn..my hand, haven’t felt that in quite a while..’ she thought to herself

Quickly readying up, she intended to fully knock her opponent out as she zipped towards her at a much faster pace before feigning a hook in favor for a powerful uppercut! If successful it would’ve lifted her opponent off of the floor before sending her back towards the punching bags.

The masked woman continued to stand there after the blow, almost like she was taking notes of Rebecca’s punch with a pen and paper. Miranda simply scanned Rebecca like she was just a subject under a magnifying glass, taking her frustration in stride and seemingly disregarding any emotion that Rebecca exuded. The youngster seemed angry that the woman just tanked one of her solid hits and shrugged it off like it was nothing, and began to fidget across from her. Miranda’s red eye finally seemed to focus on Rebecca just as the pugilist made her move. As quick as a bolt of electricity, Rebecca rushed at Miranda! The purple attired fiend registered Rebecca’s attack and launched forward herself. With ease, Miranda let loose with a nasty right hook, looking to smash into Rebecca’s angry face! Rebecca might notice that Miranda seemed too sure of herself. Did she know about the feint?! The woman seemed to have incredible observation skills, and rather than avoiding Rebecca’s feint, she seemed to be charging straight through it!

Rebeccas eyes flickered just a bit as she saw her masked opponent moving towards their with her arms raised to deliver a nasty hook of her own. This perplexed Rebecca as she knew her opponent wasn’t a rookie and yet…charging towards danger didn’t seem like a smart decision either, quickly Rebecca would inch closer and closer towards her target, looking and hoping to connect her punch before her opponent could get the chance to deliver such a devastating blow to her head..

Finally as the two met at the center of the ring to exchange blows, Rebeccas lightning fast uppercut found its way to connect towards her opponent but before her punch could deliver its full payout, her masked opponent connected beautifully, just barely was Rebecca able to lift her off of her feet by about a centimeter or two before Rebecca herself was brutally hooked! Forcing her back in a hard stagger.Whatever dent Rebecca had made to her opponent was gone as her entire face and head ached, courtesy of the meticulously intricate masked woman.

The woman in purple may as well have been a machine stepping up towards Rebecca Blackburn. There was no malice, fear or hesitation. The only human emotion that seemed to flash on Miranda’s face was a small spark of curiosity as Rebecca seemed to pull through with what Miranda had thought was a simple feint. Nonetheless, Miranda was committed to her blow, and the sound of strikes finding their mark echoed and bounced off of the empty gym walls. For a brief moment the world seemed white for the masked woman, but color quickly rushed back to her eyes and senses as Miranda caught herself stumbling backwards.

Miranda eventually caught her balance, her gaze quickly snapping to the young blonde upstart on the other side of the arena. For a moment, she stood perfectly still. It wasn’t clear if she was recovering from Rebecca’s strike or simply observing the pugilist from afar. But what became clear was that she was looking at Rebecca with more interest than before.

“Interesting…my predictions were off.” Miranda muttered behind her mask, crossing her arms as she seemed to get lost in thought. “I was so sure…but you managed to surprise me and get a direct hit.”

For the first time, Miranda spoke in a way that actually seemed to address Rebecca as a person rather than some sort of object. The cold woman didn’t seem to notice as she turned away, walking out of the arena as though no fight had even occurred.

“Perhaps I was too hasty…Rebecca, was it?” Miranda muttered over her shoulder, “You’ve earned my interest…for now. I’ll visit you again soon. Until then, get stronger.”

The cold tone mixed with the mask speakers made such a simple departure sound like a subtle threat. Probably a fairly common occurrence for those in the common company of Miranda Blaire.

With both hits connecting, Rebecca fully understood the importance of this individual. The strength and endurance mixed with little to none emotion emanating from behind her mask. While it was clear for anyone who could’ve been watching that Rebecca had lost this bout, little did she knew that even landing such a blow to someone like Miranda was a feat far and few could ever hope to accomplish.

“I’ll be more ready for you next time, count on it” Rebecca said with her confidence restored and her ambition stronger than ever. Whoever this individual was, she would best her next time or fall trying.

After a bit longer, Rebecca had stopped training, it was getting later than expected and as such she would return to her locker to grab her things and head back home for the night. Unaware of her phone being bugged, unaware of just how lucky she was under the circumstances, and unaware of the path she would soon follow
