Roman Foster, the Grinning Idiot

Name:Roman Foster
Nickname: Rommy
Age: 28
Height: 6'2 ft
Weight: 181 lbs
Hair: Black
Eyes: Brown
Hometown: New York
Nationality: American
Alignment: Manager

Appearance:

Business:
"How's about we go out for a date, eh? My place? Right, sorry... Got into a fight is all!":
"One morning. I want one morning without you bothering me...":
"Hmph, we're not done training yet. Keep your guard up and don't stop till you can't feel your limbs no more.":

Fighting Style:

Roman is Sabrina's go-to manager, but he also substitutes as a coach to boot due to his veteran experience as a fighter. While he isn't necessarily retired to boot, he does find that fighting for the sake of fighting in the ring can be tedious aside from making a quick buck or something along the lines. Roman's an all-around Undergrounder just like Sabrina, but the difference between him and her is the fact that he's far beyond her in terms of skill and speed. On strength, it's different by a case basis, but her endurance is something he finds appealing and one of her strongest weapons.

As a fighter, he's primarily a slugger, but he's shown the capability of adapting to opponents and meeting them on their fields, or at the very least, being able to act as the least predictable slugger to have ever stepped in the ring. While he won't compete professionally, he doesn't mind a fun little bout here and there. Though, to be frank, he would love a good date or a good drink to boot as well...

Though, as a manager, Roman has connections where it counts from all over the world. Some of them are legal, some not, but most of them owe him various favors that he uses to further push Sabrina's name around and get her the traction she needs whilst also getting her the best matches possible. Nothing simple, but rather challenges at every turn and corner for her to overcome or fail against.

Personality:

Roman's a stern-faced person upon meeting the man, but once you get past introductions, he's quite easygoing and pretty simple to get along with. In fact, he's the life of a party whenever it concerns booze, women, or even a good little bit of how to make money. He's what you would call a party animal and that wouldn't be too far off. He enjoys partying, he enjoys drinking, and he loves to indulge himself in women whenever the chance is presented to him. Of course, while these traits are high, he does know when to address a situation properly as a manager and fighter.

He also has a soft spot for women in general when he's not fighting them or other men. As far as it goes, he unintentionally shows a softer side whenever it concerns them or simply a real topic that he wants to stray from. Nevertheless, Roman can address most situations whenever it concerns himself and especially Sabrina. He's willing to take a stand for his fighters and put risky wagers and bets on them just to make a point, even when they might not have much to them. While his work as a manager is relatively still 'new' to most, he's more than capable of tipping the odds and scales in his fighter's favor when it really counts.

And while he was a soldier and a member of the underground for certain 'work', work that primarily doesn't ever leave his lips no matter how intoxicated he might be, he tends to forgo any and all threads with ease. Of course, while he can also be quite the scary individual towards someone who means genuine harm to people he works with, he's also someone with a rather deep secret.

He loves a woman who can kick his ass. That and binge-watching anime, but that second one is hardly what matters.

All around, Roman might appear to be rude, crass, and without manners at times, but it's always part of some convoluted and stupid plan to get Sabrina higher up the ranks.

Just, never ask him for money because he'll never pay it back...

Background:

Roman's not that complicated of an individual. He grew up on the streets of New York to a loving family and a nice appreciation for life due to various events in his young life. Quite frankly, he was a sweet boy, but even though he was quite the kind and generous child, he still found a way to get into trouble. From getting into fights to protect the people he considered friends to downright starting a brawl the moment someone broke the heart of a comrade, he proved himself to be a kind young boy with a heart that wouldn't let stand the defacing or hurting of his friends.

Honestly, it was almost endearing.

Roman grew up amongst many sorts of people from generous and kind to downright horrendous and scary. However, they rarely did influence him in the way his parents might have thought. The thugs and gangsters of New York found him kind, some even inviting him in at times for lunch or just to pass by for a quick drink, even though he denied that every time. Various people knew his name, some simple neighbors, but most of the time Roman spent was wondering if there was more out there, something to be had, an adventure...

His school life was quite average and most of his time, those little defining traits of his began to grow. From a womanizing young man who got slapped for dating two girls at the same time to the guy who was quickly running away from the football team for placing bets against them. However, once he graduated from high-school and made his way out...

He joined the military. Needless to say, it wasn't the smartest move in his entire life, but it was certainly something. In fact, he garnered a terrifying reputation and was known as a true terror out on the field when it came to weaponry. Still, while he found adventure and more, it just didn't sit well with him properly that it just felt like he was on rinse and repeat. He trained through the years and spent most of his time learning boxing, building on the foundation a variation of the style that was simply labeled, in his words, "Dirty Style, Dirtbag." After a few years spent out overseas, Roman had eventually left the military earlier than intended thanks to the services he had provided and his expiration date hitting the calendar quicker than expected. He was twenty-four at the time and had a lot of freedom at the time, albeit quite the stern hassling from his parents and even more conversations regarding his headspace.

Once Roman had returned, he found that he was still wandering around for something full of meaning and excitement. He had done a few odd jobs for the people he knew once more, but he also performed certain 'jobs' for people in the city of New York and even other places in the world simply for money. Of course, with a certain little code he had instilled so he never strayed too far from being a decent person, even if that decent person wasn't the most generous in the world.

Roman had done a lot of jobs, but those jobs eventually died down when he slinked back out of that path. It wasn't one he found meaning in and he didn't believe anything good could come from it if he spent his entire life doing it. Regardless, Roman was only wandering once more in Los Angeles when he had gotten an invitation from a friend who had been in New York over there. It was when he stumbled into a warehouse and a ring that Roman had found out he had been submitted as a fighter for his 'friend'. While he would have easily been able to leave, he had gotten baited into a match after a few taunts made from the other fighter.

Needless to say, he had put that fighter down in a single round without so much as a strand of real effort.

After that fight and a severe talk with his 'friend', Roman had learned that he not only got paid a good sum for that bout, but that he could participate in more matches such as these. While the idea itself was a little worrying, it wasn't nearly as bad or terrible as his last job beforehand. So, over the next four years, Roman spent his time in the Underground boxing about and forging a name for himself. He was downright terrifying and had scored more wins than he had losses. He could have kept fighting, keep going, try and start something even with his age...

But, Roman honestly thought that he had a good time and needed a break. He wasn't sure for how long or if he'd take it to a pro league or something along those lines, but Roman had decided to put a stop to his fighting career until further notice. He knew he could keep going, had the skills to back it up, and a body that just never learned to quit no matter what was thrown at him, but he genuinely thought it was time to just stop, even if only for a bit.

He would have kept to himself, but it didn't happen until a few weeks later that he got a call from a friend. An old veteran he had known back in the day as a kid. From what he knew, there was a fighter they had been helping along, but they needed all the help they could get if they wanted to reach the big leagues, go beyond what she taught them, and more. While he didn't have to do this favor, he felt that it just wouldn't be in his name or person if he denied them this favor.

It took some doing, but Roman soon became a manager thereafter and helped monitor and keep up on Sabrina Anderson's fighting career. With his connections and his backings, she had her name spread far and wide beyond Los Angeles alone. It was only inevitable that they caught the attention of the distinct and reputable AFW... Though for their part, it certainly was a whole new experience and while Roman may be new to being a manager, he knew very well that he could help someone out.

Even if that someone is as dumb as Sabrina.

Fun Facts

- Roman's work is primarily known through the underground, but what's most famous about him down there is the fact that he's said to have had an entire pizza party with the biggest head honchos from down under. This, of course, is a simple lie he made up simply because he loves to see the expression on people's faces.

- Roman has too many ex-girlfriends to count and one cactus he doesn't understand how happened.

- Roman is disloyal, but give him a genuine reason, and he'll be as loyal as can be to a friend or a potential lover...

- Roman doesn't like troublesome women.

- But really, he does.

- Has no short stoppage of insults to use against Sabrina for being so short despite the fact he's just tall.

- Give Roman a rifle and he'll nail any target you give him. Though, he much prefers to use his fists nowadays...
