The Olympians vs the Blazing Novas: A Double Debut

Astra didn't say anything else as Diane apologized. She hated speaking English, so that was out, and her opponent was clearly annoyed by Greek, so it was likely better to just focus on the match. She simply nodded as she got to her feet and assumed a ready stance, face sliding back into her impassive 'match mask.' She advanced, looking to go in low and tackle her opponent to the ground.

"Go get her, Artemis!" Daphne yelled from the sidelines, cupping her hands around her mouth. She could tell that her sister was a little put-out, and wanted to hype her up.

Diane was so frustrated before that she got a little bit nasty because of that. Even if she was competitive being mean wasn't like her, and luckily as she apologized her rival showed grace in forgiving her. That way the redhead was more comfortable about resuming their match.

The Red Nova had to admit that having that silent look to her gave her rival an imposing aura. Diane needed to step her game up if the Novas wanted to stay alive in the match. In order to do so, Diane would go for a collar lock, tilting her body in order to make her Greek rival lose her balance and take her down to the mat where the grappling could start.

Astra watched her opponent with trepidation, not too keen on provoking another outburst but simultaneously knowing she would need to continue the fight if she wanted to win. She took a few calming breaths and, in her head, did a counting exercise which she'd been taught by her mother in order to help her calm herself down in times of stress.

Astra yelped as Diane managed to grab her and toss her to the ground, but she knew the redhead had made a mistake. Like the Goddess she'd taken her ring name from, she was an excellent grappler. She pulled Diane in and started trying to get behind her to immobilize her with a full nelson hold. She tried to hold on tight and make sure that her opponent couldn't move her arms at all.

When Diane was successful in locking her rival and using leverage to toss her to the mat the redhead thought of herself as retaking control of the match, as grappling was her specialty. Little could she know that Astra was also considered a submission expert. With quick and nimble moves the Olympian gained Diane’s back catching the woman by surprise, and before she could even realize she was trapped by a full nelson move.

“D-damn!” Diane would feel her arms fully restrained by Astra and let desperation sink. In other circumstances she would have been able to resist and escape, but she was way too tired for that. Even so, she would try her best by jerking her legs, kicking the mat trying to make Astra’s hold weaker by any means.

Astra grunted as Diane started kicking and stomping on the mat, trying to break out of the hold. She tried to snake her own legs around her opponent's, looking to trap her and immobilize her!

"That's it, sis!" Daphne crowed, grinning as Astra seemed to be taking control of the match.
