From Street Fighter to Wrestler (For k0hryuu)

As Maddie nodded, Clara would run towards the ropes, rebound and jump at her friend, looking to meet her head forearm first. However, it wasn't a simple clotheline, as Clara would rotate around Maddie's head, and use her other forearm to take Maddie down into the mat with a sling blade, and Clara herself into a sitted position next to her.

As Clara came at her, Maddie braced herself, thinking it would just be a flying clothesline. However, it turned out to be a lot more as her friend went slinging around her, before slamming her down hard against the mat.

Grunting loudly in pain, Maddie quickly sat back up, actually a little impressed by the move. "Woah... This actually seems kinda hard to pull off..."

"Yeah, it's a bit of a "showoff" move. But it is fairly effective, and takes opponent by surprise. It looks complicated, but...", Clara thought of the best way to explain it, and figured it out: "Imagine rotating on a pole! You turn around, with one arm, do a quarter turn, switch with the other, and slam your opponent into the ground,", Clara explained, but thinking at the same time that the idea sounded better in her head.

"Let's try it. It's ok if you don't get it on your first try, I didn't either.", Clara said, and stood, ready to take Maddie's attack.

"Mmmmm..." Maddie closed her eyes for a moment, trying to visualize and feel out how to perform the move, but this one wasn't really coming naturally to her. "Well... I guess I won't know until I try it."

Replicating Clara's movements as she rebounded off the ropes, Maddie leaped into the air with her arm outstretched, connecting with Clara's head and... completely failing the spin, instead just clotheslining the girl to the ground while she landed on her back. "Shit...!"

"OOOWW", Clara would scream in pain as Maddie clothelined her instead of executing sling blade. Once the pain eased up, she stayed on the mat for a few seconds, thinking how to better teach her friend the move.

Before Maddie would get concerned for her, Clara would raise to a sit, and then fully stand up. "Was the problem the spin, or something else?". In case it was the spin, Clara had an idea in mind on how to better teach Maddie the move.

"Ughh... Sorry..." Maddie sat up, trying to shake off her hard landing. She knew how to be quick on her feet, but in the air was a bit of a different matter. "I guess it's the spin. That's kinda different from what I'm used to..."

Getting back up on her feet as well, the dark-haired jobber scratched the back of her head, trying to figure out how to maneuver her body.

"Alright, thought so. Let's take it a bit slower then, stand right in the middle of the ring, , Clara said, clearly having a plan to teach Maddie the move.

Once her friend was in position, she would slowly approach her, and do the move fairly slowly, all the while explaining:

"Hook the arm as you are flying behind, and once you are..., she very quickly changed the two hands and lightly pushed Maddie's neck with her forearm: "Exchange the arms as you are falling back to pull your opponent with you!", she would finish explaining.

"Now let's change places. Do it slowly the first time, and then we'll try the real version again,"

Maddie listened intently as Clara explained the technique, trying to visualize herself performing the move in her head. It still sounded pretty tricky, but at least now she had a good idea of what she specifically had to do. Trading place, the dark-haired jobber would imitate the same motions as her friend, going through the steps slowly.

Reviewing the process in her mind over and over, she looked over at Clara and nodded. "Ok, I think I'm ready to give it another shot."

Clara would feel Maddie going through the steps she explained, repeating everything perfectly well.

Once Maddie told her she was ready to try again, she would reply: "Very well", and stand in the middle of the ring.

"Alright... I got this..." Maddie slapped the sides of her face, trying to get herself psyched up. Trying to keep the image of herself performing the move in her mind, the dark-haired jobber took off for the ropes, rebounding off and charging towards Clara.

Getting close, her nerves started to get to her, but she took the leap anyway, extending her arm out to the side. As it impacted against her friend's collar, she bent her arm and started to swing around... Only to run out of momentum and fall on her ass right at Clara's feet. "OW...!"
