Strategy: Though she has no professional training, Kristen has been in more fights over the course of her life than she can count, which has made her a capable free style street fighter. She throws lots of hard strikes to either knock her foe out, or wear them down enough that she can find another way to go for the kill. Through trial and error she’s also taught herself a number of useful submission holds, which can easily put her opponents away if she manages to lock them in. Flashy and high risk moves are things she typically avoids. But she is a crowd-pleaser, and enough crowd support can will her on to attempt certain things she normally wouldn’t. Kristen will never go out of her way to break the rules, but won’t hesitate to employ “dirtier” tactics if the rules of the match allow it.

Rear Naked Choke: While behind a standing, kneeling or prone opponent, Kristen locks her arms around their head and neck to apply a tight sleeper hold, while simultaneously applying a body scissor with her legs.

Rear Naked Choke:

Shining Triangle: With the opponent down on a knee, Kristen sprints at them and leaps up, coiling her legs around their head, arm and neck to lock in a Triangle Choke as she falls back down.

STO: With one arm wrapped around the front of her foe’s shoulders, Kristen uses a leg to sweep out the opponent’s legs right from under them while driving their head, neck and back down to the mat with a harsh impact.

Personality: Most of the time Kristen is friendly, energetic and fun. She can often be flirty just for fun’s sake. Even when she’s going all out in the ring, she usually keeps her casual and lighthearted demeanor. But she can easily become a ruthless bitch if provoked and angered enough. Kristen’s not at all afraid of a fight, and she’s willing to go as low as her opponents are willing to go.

Past/History: Born and raised in Madrid, Kristen Alonso was just about always finding herself in a fight with someone. She was an aggressive and irritable girl who had trouble getting along with other kids, and often resorted to solving her problems with her fists rather than reason. It took a long time for her to mature enough to start showing some restraint, and once she finally did she actually found herself making a lot of friends. The closest of them was a foreign exchange student from Japan named Togi Marusawa (or “Maru” as he soon became affectionately nicknamed). While in Spain Maru stayed with Kristen’s family, and the two spent several hours on their free days helping out in the local bar her father owned.

But making more friends didn’t stop Kristen from getting into fights altogether. That was still a fairly regular occurrence, no matter how many times her parents lectured her about it. Part of the reason this continued to be a problem was because there was something about fighting Kristen actually enjoyed. That wasn’t something she felt her parents would be able to understand, or that she could effectively explain. She figured they’d just think it was her letting all the boxing and wrestling she watched on TV get to her head.

Fortunately Maru had a solution. Once they’d graduated high school he was going to have to go back home to Japan, where he planned to start a bar of his own. He offered to let Kristen come stay with him and be the co-owner of the bar, the thought being that putting Kristen in a new environment with a business of her own to take care of, she’d have to learn to be more responsible. It took some convincing, but finally her parents agreed, and off to Tokyo they both went. Although, things there weren’t quite as Maru made them out to be. The “bar” he was starting was actually a nightclub called Destina. And while Kristen did quickly learn to be more responsible as the place’s co-owner and bartender, the fights didn’t exactly stop. Why? Because Destina was a club that allowed its premium members to participate in a weekly “Fight Night” down in the basement. Naturally, Kristen participated in these rather frequently.

The place quickly became a big hit. But unbeknownst to Kristen or Maru initially, the premium members who enjoyed coming to watch the weekly fights included a few AFW talent recruits who took a liking to Kristen specifically, and soon approached her about signing with Friction. They didn’t see a potential superstar in her, but she was a beautiful woman who could more than handle herself in a fight, which was good enough for them. The contract they offered was nothing ludicrous, but it was extra money and gave Kristen more chances to fight. So of course, she signed. She still works and fights at Destina, and can be found there any night she’s not booked to wrestle a match.

Fun Facts:

- Her mother made the best Paella, and that was by far her favorite thing to eat in Spain. She’s tried numerous times to recreate it in Japan, but to no success thus far. But she’s determined to keep trying until she gets it right.

- Though her close friend Maru is considered by most who meet him to be attractive, Kristen’s never thought of him with any sort of romantic interest. It’s not that she’d disagree, but she’s always seen him as more of a “big brother.”

- She’s fluent in Spanish, English and Japanese, and is in the process of learning French and German.
