Escalating Again

Dave wasnt going to relent. Nick didn't want to give up.

"Im...Not end in this....L-Losing!" Nick groans back. He wriggles under Dave, trying to free himself or at th very least find a better position. But if he couldn't escape soon, Dave was going to need to change to another submission. And it could be worse for Nick!

It was clear by now the One leg Boston Crab was not going to get the job done. Dave released the leg, walking around Nick's prone form and lifting him into a kneeling position. Bending his opponent's body back, Dave wrapped an arm around Nick's neck in a dragon sleeper, also adding to the pain on his opponent's spine by bending him backward.

His leg flopped to the floor. Nick panted and started to shakily get up on his feet. That was until Dave brought him up quicker. Nick was set into a Dragon Sleeper. His back was bent over Dave's knee. His face grew increasingly red as the pain in his spine worsens.

The arms that gripped tight to Dave's attacking arm soon grew loose. And one of them began to tap. Nick's back no longer able to take the pressure

Dave kept the hold going until he felt Nick tapping furiously against his arm. Relieved, he released his opponent, sitting down next to him with a laugh, "You held out longer than I expected man. You got seriously high pain tolerance."

Reaching out, he offered Nick a hand to help him to his feet, "I didn't hurt you too bad did I?"

Nick was not a fan of the submissions he just endured. He fell forward when let go of by Dave. Nick groans, rubbing his neck and slowly getting up. Dave sat down and helped Nick get into a sitting position. Dave commended him for his endurance.

"Uh...Yeah" He rubbed the back of his head. There was still a light pink on his cheeks. "Nah. You didn't hurt me that bad. Juat showed me I gotta get better is all."

"There is always something we can improve on. Trust me, I know that better than most." Dave said with a laugh, dismissing the dusting of his friends cheeks. The teasing was done for now. Truth be told, this was a great time to practice his submission maneuvers, which were nonexistent in his matches.

"Im horrible honestly."

"I dont usually perform well in any sense. I know what my game plan is when I fight. I just cant really execute well because my opponent gets the upper hand on a Jack, you know?" He pauses, thinking of his slang. "Me. Im the Jack. Hehehe..."

"I was horrible too, a while back." Dave said, pulling out his phone. Pulling up a video, he sat back down next to Nick, showing him the title, "Dave Blake the Jobber Destroyed Vol. 1"

In it were recordings of his first couple of years in the independent circuit. Each clip had the same scenario, with Dave being slammed, stunned, pinned, and humiliated in various ways.

"I could have quit at any time, but i powered through. I still get caught in a beatdown sometimes. You know how many times I've been dominated in this gym by an ambush? Way too many." he continued, handing the phone to Nick so he could see.

Nick watches the compilation. And he understood Dave's point. But he didnt see how it related to him. Nick wasnt exactly one to fight women as brutally as many others would. That being said, it was mainly his job to do so.

Surely there was conflict of interest there. He didnt take the phone when offered. "I-I get the point..."

"But well...Im not that strong to start with. As uh...You can tell." Nick made a nervous chuckle and scratches the back of his head.

"Look all I'm saying is losses happen. I never started out being good. Just keep your chin up man. You got the talent. Just keep at it." Dave answered with a smile, heading to the edge of the ring to get his things. He hoped Nick would realize the talent he had. Just keep pushing that potential and he could go places.
