Alicia Wells vs Souko Kawamoto: For Justice

That had been close. Very, very close. So close in fact that her head was still killing her (although that could just have been the damned fans refusing to shut up). Admittedly, it was better than it could have been but, let’s face it, an elbow to the skull was no laughing matter regardless. It’s just that it was a considerable improvement on running right into that elbow. Souko was no lightweight wrestler.

While her striking might not have been quite at Alicia’s level in the redhead’s opinion, she still hit hard. Very hard.

Alicia slumped back against the ropes, shaking her head again as she tried to clear the cobwebs out. If she’d bounced right into that hit, she’d have been flat on her face. As it was, it’d still rattled her considerably – that punch had been all power and instinct. But it’d done what it needed to. Souko was now on the other side of the ring, giving the big redhead a chance to get herself back together.

But she couldn’t linger either. Sooner than she liked, still a touch unsteady on her feet, the kickboxer straightened up. A moment later, she began to move back towards Souko. Whether the brunette was ready or not, the British woman came in, throwing a right hook then a jab at her opponent’s belly.
