The Hardest Part of Breaking Up

When Akino had a burst of pain in her head, Carmen started to move forward, a worried look hanging in her eyes. It was pure instinct. Akino was hurting - really hurting, not the fun kind they were accustomed to - and she automatically wanted to make it better somehow. Whatever happened between them, that still remained.

She was stopped halfway there, though, when Akino recovered and went on. Carmen stood and Carmen listened, taking in what the bluenette had to say. All of it. She had things to respond with, words she could’ve said to counter. She could’ve apologized, maybe salvaged all of this. She could’ve taken a high road.

She didn’t.

”Fine. Have it your way. If you want to act like a spoiled brat, I'll leave you and your conspiracy theories alone.” Carmen shook her head and let Akino pass, trying to sound like she didn’t give a single care. She was just being silly, mad that she lost. Once she had some time to think about what had happened, Akino would come to her senses.
