Chance Encounters

An eyebrow quirked up after that, before Dave took the outstretched hand, letting the guy pull him to his feet.

"You have a key to a gym?" he asked, his mind already thinking to how he could train here WITHOUT having to worry about psychos like Casi!! Oh this was turning out to be an amazing evening!

He nodded, picking up his bag with his training pants, before following him out the door. Truth be told, as much as he wanted to stay inside the apartment, wrestling Raiden in his home (probably on his bed) was not an idea Dave wanted to follow.....not yet anyway.

Raiden blinked as Dave seemed so incredulous, and he had to rewind their conversations before he remembered that he hadn't told him about it yet. "Oh! I apologize! Yes, my father and uncles own the gym, but since I am a big shot professional wrestler, they gave me a key so I could come and practice and bring people I know by. Could help to bring traffic." He reached up and scratched his head sheepishly.

He walked out the door, humming his own opening under his breath softly as he walked to the gym and unlocked the door, holding it open just long enough for Dave to come in. It wasn't huge, like the AFW gym, but it was nice -- with punching bags, weights, and other stuff filtered around, and ring in the middle, it had everything someone would need. And everything he and Dave needed definitely.

Raiden undid the buttons on his shirt in one movement, pulling it off and revealing his nicely toned body, tossing the shirt to the side before beginning to work on his pants. Of course, he had his wrestling shorts on under it; did anyone think he would go to the federation's gym and not come prepared? Once he stripped out of the pants and his shoes and socks, he slipped into the ring, beckoning for Dave to come too!

Dave set his bag down, getting ready to strip off his own pants while he looked around the gym. It reminded him of home, back in the eastern seaboard of america. Small, cozy, and still plenty of room for a spar and some exercise. Perfect. That's when he caught sight of Raiden stripping off his shirt. The lean, toned form of the Japanese man sent a shiver down Dave's spine, and a light blush tinted his cheeks. Slipping out of his own shoes and socks, he followed his friend into the ring, hopping lightly to get the blood pumping.

"Ok tough guy. What are the ground rules?" he asked, cracking his neck a bit.

Luckily for Dave, Raiden didn't catch the blush -- he was too busy focusing on the upcoming match, really. He wouldn't pull any punches for Dave, but a piece of him still felt like he wasn't going to come out the victor at the end. He turned to Dave in time to see him slipping out of the shoes and socks, leaving him in those tight grey shorts -- and it took all Raiden had not to tackle him down and try to sleep with him right there. This would be a problem, wouldn't it?

"Well, pinfall or submission wins, right? I mean, we can make it to KO wins, but…you can just pin someone when they're KO'd. It's more like the AFW rules anyway. Other than that, no illegal moves, and that's it. Sound good?" He began to stretch out a bit, showing just how nicely those shorts fit on him. Good, he had gotten himself a new pair for a new league.

"Ok then. Simple one fall it is!" Dave said happily, glad that Raiden wasn't going to add any hentai stipulations to the match. As good as he looked, Dave wasn't going to be sucked in after denying him that date. Part of him wondered if this was a way for Raiden to get close to him without the date.

As he thought he saw Raiden stretching and damn did those shorts fit him. Man he was perfectly healthy, and had an amazing body. Dave was gonna enjoy pinning that to the mat.

"I expect you to do all you can to win! No giving up on me!" Dave said, getting into a ready position.

Unlike most of the people Raiden knew who would jump for the chance to add a hentai stipulation to a match after they'd just been turned down, Raiden wasn't that type of person. Like he said, he wasn't going to quit, but he was going to make Dave want to go out with him. This? This was just for funsies. He wanted to spar with someone in the league before he made his big, official debut. Perhaps a piece of him realized it would be a smart way to get close to Dave, to sneak up on him -- but that wasn't his conscious intention. He just wanted to have fun with his new friend.

"Same for you, Dave!" he called back. A who's the biggest jobber competition, that was interesting. He grinned and launched himself at Dave, before moving to try and miss him so he could bounce off the ropes -- and on the turn around, he went for a bit boot to Dave's back. Well, big foot; didn't have the same ring to it when he wasn't wearing shoes.

Dave ducked under Raidens arm, noting the way his body never changed direction....as if he wasn't TRYING to hit Dave first. Eyes widening, he turned just as his friend rebounded off the ropes, jumping in the air to dropkick him. Dave tried to step backward, which managed to lessen the effect, but failed to fully escape the kick. Raiden's foot slammed into his chest, knocking him flat on his back. Dave rolled back to his feet, breathing a bit harder but still managing to get up. He waited for Raiden to to get to his feet before darting in, nailing a few gut punches before aiming a quick uppercut to his jaw. Speed was the game, so it was time to use it!

BAM.

Raiden almost felt a bit giddy as those feet slammed into Dave's chest; his opponent had backed up a bit, but it was still enough to send him down to his back. Raiden moved quickly to get back to a standing position, hoping that Dave was still stunned enough.

But he wasn't -- soon, those gut punches nailed into him, eliciting a sharp gasp, and the uppercut sent Raiden onto his back in return. He gave a small growl at Dave, moving to try and yank his leg out from under him and already go for a cover!

A yelp was torn from Dave's lips when Raiden yanked his leg, bringing him down to the mat, perfect for a cover.

"Don't get cocky friend!" Dave growled, throwing Raiden off of him. He rolled to his feet, aiming a low kick right into Raiden, hopefully slamming into his chest before he got to his feet.Part of him was getting excited by this! An even fight for once in his life. Man how times have changed.

Raiden gave a small grunt as he was easily tossed off of him, rolling to try and keep it from actually hurting. He gave a couple of choice Japanese words in response as he tried to get up -- and in return, he got a kick straight into his chest. He fell onto his back with a grunt, trying to shift and move despite being stunned from the attack.
