Welcoming Drinks (Open)

(Open thread to anyone in Tension that would like to meet Jacob)

Jacob had not been in Japan for very long. He had arrived only two weeks ago and had spent most of his time signing the AFW contracts and then house hunting for himself. He had managed to however find a place that suited him, a small but cosy apartment just south of the AFW super-complex. He decided not to go and waste all his money on an expensive home, simply because he wasn’t going to be around there very often. The only requirement he had was that the place had access to a private garage; the place he could store his coveted London Black Cab, the only piece of home he had bought along with him. Well that wasn’t entirely true. He had bought a lot of his mother’s old wrestling stuff as mementos. After moving in, he had sought to find a place he could hang out in his downtime. The place he had found was a bar in the AFW complex that was run by a bunch of wrestlers. Or so he had heard. The place was always busy, but it also meant he had company.

Right now he was in said bar, sitting at a booth on his own. On the table was his drink, along with a large number of dossiers; folders of information on different wrestlers in Tension. He was going around reading up on everyone and then assigning them values based on how dangerous he thought they were to him. For the most part he had been giving out two’s and three’s with the occasional four every now and again. After ordering his second bottle of wine, he began the next dossier. He had paid some major wrestling fan a fair bit of money to collate this data on people and the next one was quite thick. It had the name ‘Carmen Rodriguez’ plastered on the brown envelope. Spinning it around he broke the seal and pulled out the wad of paper contained within. It was a much bigger that most of the other dossiers, mainly because after winning the 24/7 championship, more data was readily available. After flicking through match records and other varying bits of information, Jacob sighed taking a swig of his beer and putting the paper away. He picked up his marker pen and flipped the envelope over to the front. He then began to draw out a large ‘5’ in the centre. Not satisfied with it he went over it a few times to make the lines thicker and finally decided to draw a skull around it to visually emphasise how he felt. Putting the marker down he would take a swig from his bottle again before scanning around and seeing who else was around.
